Story
We got Yeti as a puppy. He currently lives with a Great Pyrenees dog and Russian Blue house cat - he does great with both. We also have a bunch of kids ranging in age from very young to teenagers - he does great with the whole family. We live in the mountains in Teller County, Colorado where the summers max out at 80°. We are about to move to a state where the summer temps always hit triple digits and winter temps can hit 70°. Yeti is a full-blooded snow dog and thrives in that environment. We believe he would be happier if he staid in Colorado.

Story
Loki is an amazing dog. We got him for our daughter, and it just wasn't a good fit. Our daughter is not a active girl, nor does she spend much time outside. This is one of the issues we are having. Loki needs to go to a home where there is a lot of property for him to be able to run freely on, as he is a Husky. Preferably a home with other dogs as he loves to play and have companionship with other animal's/dogs. If the family doesn't have a large yard then they will need to be a very active family that likes to spend time in the outdoors. He is a sweet dog with lots of energy and loves to be around people. He is not aggressive but, he does get hyper if he doesn't have the proper outlet and opportunity to burn energy. He loves to sleep inside next to the ones who love him the most. Please reach out and we would love to interview you and your family just to make sure he is going to a great home.

Story
Hello, my name is Aspen and I’m nearing my 3rd birthday in a few months. I’m a Shepard mix, my foster parents are pretty sure that there’s Husky in me as well. I had a rough start in my life, I was found a stray in Texas with an embedded collar and irritated nose. It’s hard for me to trust people right away so I will need time to warm up to you. I’m a little shy and don’t like my nose to be touched. In Texas the vet said my nose was most likely burned.  I went to the vet here in Colorado and she’s pretty sure I have Lupus.(also called DLE, Nasal Solar Dermatitis, or Collie Nose)Discoid Lupus or DLE is almost exclusively a canine disease and is almost always limited to the leather of the nose, called the nasal planum.Lupus is an immune - mediated disease stemming from your own immune system reactions to your own DNAI have to be on medication for the rest of my life and have to make sure to avoid the UV light at its peak time.(exposure to sunshine is makes the condition worse).  Lupus does not shorten my lifespan or slow me down in any way! I love to give all the kisses and want to be close to my humans once I warmed up to them, kids should be a bit older so they understand I don’t like to get yanked on my collar and that i need time to warm up to everyone. I’m currently in a foster home with 3 Huskies (2 male and 1 female) and a Chihuahua mix and getting along fine with all of them. My foster parents say that I’m an alpha personality. Hope I’ll meet you soon. Story
Hi my name is Skya I am a 4 year old spayed female Alaskan Husky mix. I am very affectionate. I like to play rough with other dogs once I get to know them so sometimes it's hard to tell if I'm playing or being mean. Meeting new dogs is kind of stressful for me as well. I would like to be in a one dog family so I can relax at the end of day. I like to go for walks. Where I like to be the lead. I love to people watch so i like to have a window i can look out during the day. I sleep in my kennel at night time. But dont mind snuggles in bed. I am potty trained. I know my basic commands sit, lay down, etc. I'm a good learner.  If you are interested in adopting, please visit our website and complete an adoption application at www.elpasocountycanine.org/adopt \r\n ##2022035##
