Story
Please welcome Bella Donna to rescue!  She is a beautfiul Husky, born 2017, and she has a super SWEET disposition.  She does wheelies when she's happy and has the most beautfiul smile.  She is great with dogs and cats.  Bella Donna takes treats nice, walks great on a leash and LOVES everyone she comes into contact with. She is a little overweight, so Bella Donna's new person will need to be able to help her follow a diet and give her regular exercise.  We'll share updates and more information about Bella Donna as we learn more about her.  Please consider giving this girl a home!! The suggested adoption donation for Bella Donna is $300, which includes a lifetime of free relationship-based training for any behavioral problems (not obedience training).  Muddy Paws is a 501c3 non-profit organization meaning that part of your donation MAY be TAX DEDUCTIBLE. We are a 100% volunteer rescue committed to giving animals a second chance at life. All donations go toward that mission. Adoption fees are the primary source of funding for the cost of veterinary care for our animals. In 2022 alone, we provided animal Healthcare totaling over $399,000 covered mainly through adoption fees. Information about the adoption process: All adoptions require a completed ADOPTION APPLICATION. Once your application has completed our prescreen steps, we will put you in touch with the animal’s foster to see if you and the pet are a good match. If so, we will arrange a meeting for you and the animal. The adoptions for all of our animals will take place in the Omaha, NE area and must be done by the adoptive family in person. We do not ship or deliver. Please Note: We are a RESCUE, which is different from a shelter. We conduct veterinary and personal reference checks, and a Home Visit (Virtual in some cases) during the application approval process. We always select the right applicant for each animal, based on the animal’s needs. If you and the animal are not a good match, we will help you select another animal, or we will keep your approved application on file for 6 months. Story
Introducing Nyx!  She is a Siberian Husky/Cattle Dog mix, born appx August 2020.  Nyx is looking for an active home where she can spend a lot of time with her new family.  She knows how to fetch, knows some commands and is leash trained.  She loves to spend time outside and needs a fenced yard so she can explore and chase squirrels!!  Nyx is happiest when on the move and going on adventures.  At nap time, she will enjoy hanging out with you on the couch.  She doesn't like to be left alone or kenneled, but she is crate trained and should be crated if she's left alone at home.  Nyx is friendly with everyone including strangers and kids of all ages. The suggested adoption donation for Nyx is $375, which includes a lifetime of free relationship-based training for any behavioral problems (not obedience training).  Muddy Paws is a 501c3 non-profit organization meaning that part of your donation MAY be TAX DEDUCTIBLE. Please Note: A Courtesy Post designates that an animal is still in the home of its owner and not in a Muddy Paws foster. This means that our exposure to the animal is limited since we are only assisting the owner in finding a new home for their pet. From time to time, owners find a new furever home for their pets outside of Muddy Paws Second Chance Rescue and there is a delay in removing them from our site. To adopt or for more information, please visit http://TaysiaBlue.com Hello!! I'm Tipsy, the affectionate puppy dog learning to navigate a whole new world. I used to be very confused and see double with my two different colored eyes. While I walk mostly in a straight line now, I have stumbled a few times when the small hoomans are around. What do I do? Do I herd them all in one area? Do I protect them? Do they desire running exercises like I do?? My foster mom has been so patient with me as I Iearn to walk the line and I have come a long way. Now I know the small hoomans like to cuddle the way big hoomans do! I sure am a quick learner! Thanks to my foster family, I am quickly gaining confidence and trust with the two-leggeds of all shapes and sizes. My vision is no longer blurry and I look forward to my future. Wondering if you may have a couch I can sleep on? Clothes that need some fur accents? Need a friend to cuddle with all.day everyday?? Apply to meet me! To adopt or for more information, please visit http://TaysiaBlue.com Hi! I'm Wren! I want a family to play with me! I love to play, play, play! I'd really LOVE to have a husky or dog sibling who likes to play with me. I like people. And fur-friends. If I don't have anyone to keep me busy, I will find my own fun - not always hooman-approved. Fences are just a suggestion, right? Blink blink blink with my heart-melting brown eyes. Besides why would you want to leave me anyway? I'm the life of the party! If you're ready to crank up the playtime to 11, then apply for me, Wren, and I'll fly right over!To adopt or for more information, please visit http://TaysiaBlue.com April 30, 2025, 7:08 pm

Story
To adopt or for more information, please visit http://TaysiaBlue.com Mr. Sandman, bring me a dream ... make him the cutest that I've ever seen! Hi, I'm Sandman and I'm an adorable bi-eyed white floof! All I want to do is play! And talk! I'm a talker, a whiner and a crier. If you thrive on husky drama and have a flair for the theatrical I'm your boy! It IS mostly performative though .... I'm truly the gentle, submissive type! I've gotten along well with the resident pups in my foster home and in playgroups. I free roam with the other pups here when the humans go to work and I haven't caused any issues. I eat well in my kennel, but when I'm done I will whine because I want out. I'm not afraid to speak my mind! I've had a few accidents in the house because I get so busy playing like a puppy and then ... oops! We're working on that! My foster mom says I'm such a good boy! You'll probably be up all night thinking about me anyway ... so go ahead and fill out an application for me, Sandman! To adopt or for more information, please visit http://TaysiaBlue.com June 30, 2025, 5:43 pm

Story
Q-Tip (or fondly known as Tippy) is an Akita/Husky/Shepherd mix, born appx April 2021.  He is a very good boy and needs a buddy to keep him company.  He has suffered from severe separation anxiety, but he is peaceful as long as he has another dog around that is also peaceful.  He would be okay in a family with or without kids.  He needs a fenced yard and shouldn't be in apartment or around cats. Q-Tip is friendly with other dogs, stranger and kids.  He is housebroken and leash trained.  Q-Tip likes to be active at times, but also has a calm side and likes to find a lap to sit on.  He's not sure how to act when left alone and might be a little destructive.  He would welcome training in a new environment to help with that.  He also does not like to be kenneled and he will be sure to let you know!  Q-Tip knows knows commands.  He would REALLY like to have another dog around.  Even better, he would LOVE to have you around as well and not be gone lots of hours during the day! The suggested adoption donation for Q-Tip is $375, which includes a lifetime of free relationship-based training for any behavioral problems (not obedience training).  Muddy Paws is a 501c3 non-profit organization meaning that part of your donation MAY be TAX DEDUCTIBLE. Meet Beau! Beau is currently available by application only. 👉 Apply here: https://new.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/CBIA/Dog Beau is everything you’d expect from a classic Chow breed—adorably squishy, fiercely loyal, independent, and a little opinionated. He’s looking for a special person who understands his breed or has experience working with dogs who need time and patience to build trust. He’s currently working on building his confidence and tends to prefer women over men. Like many Chows, Beau has a small, trusted circle of people—but with a few tasty treats and the right approach, you just might earn your way in. Beau does well with other dogs, especially calmer, low-key companions. However, he cannot live with cats. He’s a big fan of car rides and would love nothing more than to tag along on adventures with his favorite human. If you’re looking for a loyal companion with a one-of-a-kind personality and you're ready to earn a Chow’s trust, Beau may be your perfect match!
