Story
It is our distinct pleasure to introduce to you Nya a Siberian Husky b. May of 2020, who is looking for her FURever home that will love her no matter what! This sweet girl who has every reason to not trust people is one of the most loving dogs you will ever meet. She is kennel trained but does like to sing the songs of Huskies past while in there, so she does best in a non-apartment setting. She is a very high energy go, go, go girl and would love to have an older human sibling who would like to run around her fenced-in backyard with! This girl is a marathon runner and would love an active home where she can play and go with them on adventures. She does great at walking on a leash and is an excellent kisser. She is not certain on dogs, but we believe she would do good in a home with another dog that is active and wants to play, but she requires a good dog intro first. Nya lived with cats in her previous home so if there's a feline friend or two she is fine with that. Who is ready to give this girl a second chance at life!?! Apply today to adopt sweet Nya!!! The suggested adoption donation for Nya is $350, which includes a lifetime of free relationship-based training for any behavioral problems (not obedience training). Muddy Paws is a 501c3 non-profit organization meaning that part of your donation MAY be TAX DEDUCTIBLE. We are a 100% volunteer rescue committed to giving animals a second chance at life. All donations go toward that mission. Adoption fees are the primary source of funding for the cost of veterinary care for our animals.  In 2022 alone, we provided animal Healthcare totaling over $300,000 covered mainly through adoption fees. Information about the adoption process: All adoptions require a completed ADOPTION APPLICATION. Once your application has completed our prescreen steps, we will put you in touch with the animal’s foster to see if you and the pet are a good match. If so, we will arrange a meeting for you and the animal. The adoptions for all of our animals will take place in the Omaha, NE area and must be done by the adoptive family in person. We do not ship or deliver.  Please Note: We are a RESCUE, which is different from a shelter. We conduct veterinary and personal reference checks, and a Home Visit (Virtual in some cases)  during the application approval process. We always select the right applicant for each animal, based on the animal’s needs. If you and the animal are not a good match, we will help you select another animal, or we will keep your approved application on file for 6 months.  To learn about Muddy Paws Second Chance Rescue or donate to our animals, please visit our website at MuddyPawsSecondChanceRescue.com or our Facebook Page Muddy Paws Second Chance Rescue Inc. ##1711385##

Story
Scout (11/2022) a Husky mix.  Scout is very much a puppy with bursts of energy and puppy playfulness.   He LOVES water, car rides, and squeak toys.  His favorite is a squeaky ball.  He is a lazy walker but will walk on a treadmill.  He knows commands and is learning to share his space with other dogs.  He would do best in a home with older children.  He would love a home where his people are home with him most of the time, he is not fond of the crate or being shut in small rooms. The suggested adoption donation for Scout is $415, which includes a lifetime of free relationship-based training for any behavioral problems (not obedience training). Muddy Paws is a 501c3 non-profit organization meaning that part of your donation MAY be TAX DEDUCTIBLE. We are a 100% volunteer rescue committed to giving animals a second chance at life. This means that our exposure to the animal is limited since we are only assisting the owner in finding a new home for their pet. From time to time owners find a new furever home for their pets outside of Muddy Paws Second Chance Rescue, and there is a delay in removing them from our site. We apologize if the Courtesy Post you apply to adopt is unavailable for adoption. Please Note: We are a RESCUE, which is different from a shelter.
