Story
I am considering dog sharing with the right person. Unfortunately, a household member is allergic to him and he has to stay in sunroom and outside mostly. I would love to find someone near Galena, MD who would want to take him on the weekends or weekdays to be able to provide some more one on one time, another dog companion and walks. His breed is a NAID. He is a very friendly dog, timid at first but once he knows you he is very friendly and happy to be with you, play ball, go on walks or hang out for a bit on the couch. He is great with kids. Good with my cats. Would need a secure fence that is at least 5 feet high. Prefer you have another dog for him to have some playtime. If you are interested in having a part time dog, please fill out the application. Thank you.

Story
Seraphina is a sweet girl who would love a family with kids, but would be great with anyone who can give her lots of attention! She is good with our cats and male dog. I adopted her when she was four months old and I had a four month old husky pup at home already. They were incredibly close instantly, but began fighting more and more until it got so bad they had to be kept separated at all times. We have tried many things, including medication, and she still tries to fight her doggy sister frequently. She is crate trained and walks well on a figure of 8 lead.

Story
Ever wished you could have all the sass and theatrical flair of a husky—but in a more portable size? Dreams do come true, and her name is Imogen (aka Idgie). We suspect she’s part Australian Shepherd, part Husky, and 100% diva. She`s got the smarts of a herding dog, the voice of a Husky, and a look that would rule the runway. But her best quality is she is an absolute love bug. While she can be a little aloof at first, give her a moment (and maybe a treat), and she’ll soon be nuzzling up for belly rubs and following you around like your new best friend. She’s affectionate, playful, and just the right mix of independent and cuddly. Idgie does have a bit of vision impairment — mostly affecting her depth perception — but don’t worry, the vet doesn’t think it’s progressive, and it definitely doesn’t slow her down One thing to know: Idgie isn’t a fan of being left to her own devices — if unsupervised, she’ll happily find something (anything!) to chew on. She does best when crated while you`re away, even if she insists she doesn’t need one the moment you close the door. Don’t be fooled—you must stay strong. She respects confident leadership, but will absolutely test you with her patented “sad face + dramatic flop” combo. She’s also surprisingly athletic for a couch snuggler—we think Idgie could be a rockstar in agility if given the chance. She also walks nicely on leash and is fully housebroken, because even tiny divas have standards.Idgie is ready to bring curiosity, cuddles, and comedy into your life. If you’d like to take Idgie home, please fill out an adoption application at this link – https://animalalliesrescue.org/dog-application. The adoption fee is $350 and covers all expenses needed to prepare dogs like this one for their forever homes. By the time you meet them, they’ve already been spayed/neutered (if age-appropriate) and microchipped. They’ve been checked by a veterinarian and are up to date on necessary vaccinations, including Rabies and DHLPP. They have also been tested for heartworm and tick-borne diseases and have started heartworm and flea preventative medication. Some of our dogs have even undergone extensive medical care to ensure they’re ready for a happy, healthy life with you!

Story
www.huskyrescueteam.org    If you have additional questions please email info@huskyrescueteam.orgWelcoming Buddy, to the H-E-A-R-T pack! Buddy was a stray in NC. He's approximately 5 1/2 years old and has a lovely temperament! Buddy had many medical issues we've had to address so he's been with us for a while. He required FHO surgery to fix a hip injury he sustained early in life. Likely from trauma of some sort and he was heartworm positive. Now that he's all fixed up, his last step is to find his forever home. Buddy is dog friendly but would also be fine as an only dog. He coexists nicely but isn't a player. He loves human attention and likes to go for car rides. His main goal in life is human affection. Buddy is: Completely housebroken Moderate energy Strong on a leash Good with other dogs Good with children Would be okay being leash walked instead of having a fenced yard Allowed on furniture Not a fan of the vacuum or mop Buddy's ideal home is someone who works from home and has a place for Buddy to lay and sun bathe with the occasional job to chase the bunnies. Buddy loves car rides so would like his human to take him for some rides to sniff his nose out of a cracked window. Someone who likes movie nights in and will let buddy snuggle up against them.  Buddy is being fostered in MD.  Adoption area: NJ to NC.~~Husky Education And Rescue Team is a foster based rescue. Our dogs are in our foster homes all up and down the east coast. We do not have a facility in which you can visit. We find this a huge benefit because we learn our dogs and are able to educate our adopters on what it’s like to have them live in your home. Part of our process, once pre-approved, is to speak with the foster for the dog you’re interested in. If you’re still interested in adopting from our rescue the first step is to complete our adoption application online at www.huskyrescueteam.org/apply     If you have additional questions please email  info@huskyrescueteam.orgApril 13, 2025, 6:28 pm

Story
www.huskyrescueteam.org    If you have additional questions please email info@huskyrescueteam.orgThis is Charlie! And just look at those cute ears! Charlie is a 3-4 year old Shepherd/Husky mix new to the H-E-A-R-T program. We don't know anything about his past because he was a stray. But he's a super smart, happy guy. Charlie plays well with other dogs but prefers females. He would be okay in a home as an only dog. He'd like a forever home with fenced yard. Charlie is neutered, vaccinated and healthy. He's being fostered in NC but can be transported for the right family! Adoption area NJ to NC. www.huskyrescueteam.org~~Husky Education And Rescue Team is a foster based rescue.
