Story
www.huskyrescueteam.org    If you have additional questions please email info@huskyrescueteam.orgWelcoming Buddy, to the H-E-A-R-T pack! Buddy was a stray in NC. He's approximately 5 1/2 years old and has a lovely temperament! Buddy had many medical issues we've had to address so he's been with us for a while. He required FHO surgery to fix a hip injury he sustained early in life. Likely from trauma of some sort and he was heartworm positive. Now that he's all fixed up, his last step is to find his forever home. Buddy is dog friendly but would also be fine as an only dog. He coexists nicely but isn't a player. He loves human attention and likes to go for car rides. His main goal in life is human affection. Buddy is: Completely housebroken Moderate energy Strong on a leash Good with other dogs Good with children Would be okay being leash walked instead of having a fenced yard Allowed on furniture Not a fan of the vacuum or mop Buddy's ideal home is someone who works from home and has a place for Buddy to lay and sun bathe with the occasional job to chase the bunnies. Buddy loves car rides so would like his human to take him for some rides to sniff his nose out of a cracked window. Someone who likes movie nights in and will let buddy snuggle up against them.  Buddy is being fostered in MD.  Adoption area: NJ to NC.~~Husky Education And Rescue Team is a foster based rescue. Our dogs are in our foster homes all up and down the east coast. We do not have a facility in which you can visit. We find this a huge benefit because we learn our dogs and are able to educate our adopters on what it’s like to have them live in your home. Part of our process, once pre-approved, is to speak with the foster for the dog you’re interested in. Charlie is a 1-2 year old Shepherd/Husky mix new to the H-E-A-R-T program. We don't know anything about his past because he was a stray. But he's a super smart, happy guy. Charlie plays well with other dogs but prefers females. He would be okay in a home as an only dog. He'd like a forever home with fenced yard. Charlie is neutered, vaccinated and healthy. He's being fostered in NC but can be transported for the right family! Adoption area NJ to NC. www.huskyrescueteam.org~~Husky Education And Rescue Team is a foster based rescue. Story
www.huskyrescueteam.org    If you have additional questions please email info@huskyrescueteam.orgThis incredibly happy & handsome guy is Cobalt!   Cobalt was a stray and was impounded in a kill shelter in Georgia when we rescued him. We don't know anything about his past and he was heartworm positive.   Cobalt is currently living in sanctuary care with some of his H-E-A-R-T Husky friends and is now ready for a furever home of his own. He's a 3 year old, neutered male. Cobalt is current on his vaccines and has finished heartworm treatment. Between his bright eyes and his wide smile, you can't help but to smile when you look at him. Cobalt would be okay as an only dog if he got lots of human attention. He's quite the silly boy and very entertaining! Cobalt would like a fenced yard to play in or to be taken on a few walks daily, and a couch to snuggle on.   Cobalt is currently located in NC. His adoption area is CT, NY, NJ, DE, PA, MD, VA, NC, SC. Exceptions can be made for other neighboring states on a case by case basis.~~Husky Education And Rescue Team is a foster based rescue. Story
www.huskyrescueteam.org    If you have additional questions please email info@huskyrescueteam.orgThis little lady was either dumped or lost in Grand Bay National Park in Georgia. Grand Bay has tons of alligators and snakes. It took a while to catch her but she's now safe! She completed a stray hold through the local shelter but no one came for her and she wasn't microchipped. Even though we are beyond full with Huskies waiting on homes, we couldn't leave her fate to chance after all she's endured. So help us welcome Gia! The name is short and sweet, just like her!!! Gia is such a funny gal and she needs a furever home of her own where she's able to entertain her hoomans and be the life of the pawty! She loves other doggy friends and will play with them all no matter male or female. She plays rough like a typical Husky so a large dog would be more her speed. She would also be fine as an only dog.   Gia is: Mostly housebroken Crate Trained Very vocal High energy Good on a leash Good with other large dogs Allowed on furniture Cuddle bug   Gia is estimated to be a year old and currently weighs 35 lbs. She is spayed, current on her vaccines and heartworm negative. Her adoption area is CT, NY, NJ, DE, PA, MD, VA, NC, SC or GA. Gia is being fostered in GA but we will transport for an approved home. So please apply today!  ~~Husky Education And Rescue Team is a foster based rescue. Our dogs are in our foster homes all up and down the east coast. We do not have a facility in which you can visit. Story
www.huskyrescueteam.org    If you have additional questions please email info@huskyrescueteam.orgMeet Blue! She is an 8 month old, 25 pound Husky mix. Blue was originally adopted from one of our partner shelters as a puppy but was brought back to the shelter when the Adopter felt.she was ‘not a good fit’ because she play nips at children Um, hello... She's still a puppy! Being an owner surrender in a full shelter, her fate was uncertain so we brought her into our program. Blue loves other animals and plays like a true Husky. According to her previous owners she loves to dig and needs an abundance of tough toys. Blue was a sweetheart when she arrived back at the shelter and did a great job sharing her space with another dog. She's an energetic girl who knows how to sit on command! She's being fostered in NC now and must go to a furever home with other active, playful dog friends. She'd also like a fenced yard to run. Blue is spayed, current on vaccines and heartworm negative. Her adoption area CT to GA, all states in between.~~Husky Education And Rescue Team is a foster based rescue. Our dogs are in our foster homes all up and down the east coast. Story
www.huskyrescueteam.org    If you have additional questions please email info@huskyrescueteam.orgThis is Rio! We rescued Rio from a kill shelter in Georgia. He was a stray so we don't know about his history. But that doesn't matter because this little fella is just the best! The shelter estimated Rio at 2 but he still has the Husky puppy wispy coat so is likely 10-12 months old. He doesn't even seem full grown yet. He's just 43lbs. His coat is so shiny and clean. He has the creamiest blue eyes that pale in comparison to his coat. And those freckles and his crooked ear make him completely irresistible.  Enough about his handsome looks - let's talk about his personality. Rio is young and so he has some puppy tendencies. He can be mouthy when he gets excited but he never applies pressure or nips. He loves toys, will sometimes steal things to play with them and is great on a leash. He's mostly house trained. He doesn't yet ask to go out, but once on a routine will wait to go. He is crate trained. He has the SWEETEST voice. It's the best and he is a talker. It's a good woo. Rio likes to play with other dogs. He can be very excitable so any resident dogs will need to match his energy or be tolerant. He has not been exposed to small animals or cats so it's hard to say how he would be. He loves to run in the yard and seems respectful of fences and gates. He's affectionate and will curl in to your legs and lean for pets. He also gives kisses. For a young fella, he's not overly energetic and is fine with one or two good walks a day and some yard time. He seems to crave stimulation over exercise and plays nicely with his toys. He's also a great car rider. Cannot say enough good things about this guy! He'd be a great first time Husky. He'd really like a home with other dogs or someone who will make sure he gets regular canine interaction. Rio is not the type of dog who should be left alone for 8+ hours a day. If that's your schedule, you'll need to consider a dog walker or doggy daycare for this young guy.  Rio is neutered, heartworm negative and current on his vaccines. He's located in MD. We do transport within reason for the right home! Apply at www.huskyrescueteam.org/apply~~Husky Education And Rescue Team is a foster based rescue.
