I came to my Foster at no fault of my own. I am such a sweet old soul. I love to cuddle with my people and just want all the snacks and love ❤️ . I do well with cats and female dogs. I am a little selective with certain male dogs. I am laid back would love a home where I can chill and lay in the sun. I do well with kids of all ages! I do great on walks and really well in the car. I am a big healthy boy at 77 pounds but my Foster family is working on getting my weight down to a healthy weight. Contact steelecountyhumanesociety@gmail.com or call 507-451-4512 to set up a meet-n-greet. My adoption fee is $300.

Story
Meet Effy (black and white) Effy, a calm and loving 10-year-old girl, enjoys being your loyal sidekick. Despite their husky breed, this pup is surprisingly easy-going. Effy is great with kids and other pets, making her the perfect addition to a large family. She would thrive in a home with a yard that has a tall fence to prevent any escape attempts. She's looking for a loving family to give her the attention and care she deserves. If you have space in your heart and home for Effy, please consider opening your doors to this lovable husky. Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Volunteer fave in the house! Bram arrived at the shelter on Sept. 29th, after he went unclaimed at the city pound. He's a happy and energetic husky mix with icy blue eyes. We do think he's mixed with some type of herding breed. He's friendly and ready for action at all times. He's also very loving. His size is in the medium range and he's most likely 1 to 2 years old. He has been vet checked, neutered, and chipped. His fee is $150. We're hoping to find Bram a home that has some experience with husky types. They are notorious clowns who love to run! Bram does require basic obedience training and a lot of regular exercise to keep him settled. He loves to play and be with people. He has a tendency to be strong willed so he needs an experienced owner who is ready and willing to work with this. Cats are most likely a no for him. An adult only home would be best and a fenced yard would be perfection. He could do well with a well mannered dog of similar size. NOTE:  Adoptions are done via private appointment once an application as been completed and approved. Applications must be submitted at our website, mchs.rescuegroups.org. Keep an eye on your emails if you apply. We are located at 101 22nd St. SE in Austin, right next to the airport. It's exit 180B off of I-90, right off of 218 South. We do require that potential adopters be at least 21 years old and that any resident dogs be up to date on vaccinations, heartworm testing/preventatives, and spayed or neutered.Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.November 5, 2024, 10:55 am
