Story
Named for his constant grin and tail wags, Felix is a super sweet boy who looks just like a Dingo; he could have some husky in him. The vet thinks he is about 1 year old. He weighs 50 lbs. He is now neutered, vaccinated, and house trained, has learned his new name, and the word “No.” He responds to whistling and “come” with moderate consistency. He is very friendly to other dogs and humans of all ages. He does not give kisses, ever, but loves to get hugs, snuggles, and scritches. He LOVES to run and play. He has a lot of energy (and endurance!), but isn’t hyperactive. He does well on a leash when he is walked solo, but if other dogs are around he just tries to run to greet and play with them. He especially loves rough-and-tumble wrestling, chase, and tug. He is totally happy being at the bottom of the pecking order here at my house and tolerates being herded and bossed around by one of my dogs, Raza. Surprisingly, he is very tolerant of her putting him in his place! If he isn’t playing with one or more of the other pups, he likes to get pets, nap, and keep me company. He is heartworm positive and will be treated soon. His adoption fee is $200 After reading this pet's info, if you are still interested in adopting, please fill out the online adoption application found at realgooddogrescue.com The ideal home for this Real Good Dog will have a secure fenced yard. Meet Jack Fostering in Tennessee Here's the link to our adoption application: https://form.jotform.com/201317338010137 This handsome devil is Jack. Jack’s person was deployed, and no one would take his dogs and care for them while deployed. We were asked if we could take them and find them new homes. We said of course. Jack is a happy guy that loves life. He still likes to run in the yard and have a good time. He does like to play fetch, but sometimes choose to keep his toy instead of bringing it back. He is a lover and loves all the attention he can get. He doesn’t meet a stranger; our volunteer was able to get great pictures after just having met him. Jack is crate and house trained and has pretty good house manners. If you would like to add this older gentleman to your family, use the link below to apply. Our fosters and adoption coordinators are the backbone of what we do. Our fosters work tirelessly to integrate our rescue animals into their home, so that we can provide as much information to potential adopters as possible. In addition, our coordinators offer as much information regarding the medical and behavioral and personality characteristics as is known to our organization. Without them, and our extremely generous donors, we would not be able to save as many animals as we do every day. With each adoption, we operate a Pay It Forward program, whenever possible, to help other animals in our rescue and future animals in need. If you are interested in one of our animals, please complete an application. The application link can be found on our Petfinder homepage under the picture. You may also find our application on our website at www.petmatchmakerrescue.com under the Adopt page. If they are listed on our website, their adoptions have not been finalized yet. That does not mean that we have not received several applications, already. Please complete an application if you are interested and we will keep you apprised of their current status. We are all volunteers that work full-time jobs, so please be patient with us. We will get back with you as quickly as possible. If you are interested in fostering for our organization, please complete an application. The application link can be found on our Petfinder homepage under the picture.

Story
Come and meet me at PetSmart in Memphis, Tn. at 5883 Poplar Ave. Saturday February 3rd from 11am till 2pm. Pup Pup is about 2 years old, weighs 40 pounds, neutered, heartworm negative, microchipped, current on all his vaccines and preventatives. We’re thinking A Husky Mix? Maybe with some Border Collie? From his foster dad: A high energy about 2 year old, neutered, microchipped, heartworm negative Husky mix that will keep you amused with his comical antics. Your constant companion, he is with you whatever you are doing. Be careful, he will get behind you to sniff anything in your hand. Not good if I am carrying tools or anything else that could hurt him not knowing he is there. Helps you get dressed or undressed. Helps you in the bathroom and is fascinated with the tub drain and running or pouring water. Loves to get a bath himself. Loves a leash but will try to pull you where he wants to go. Loves to go for car rides and is calm during car rides. Chews on pecans and pecan limbs and will bring them into the house. Chews on Rose of Sharon bushes. Plays with small rocks like a cat with a bug. Throws them with his mouth, then swats them with his paws. Sleeps under my chair while I am on computer or watching TV. Follows me to bed and sleeps in the floor on the side I get out of bed so that I wake him when I get up. When it is time to get up, he stands up with his feet on the bed and tries to find a hand or foot or face to nudge me awake. HATES a kennel will try to chew his way out after 15 minutes. Not a problem, I never have to kennel him, he has had full run of the house since he has been here. It helps that I have 2 much larger dogs that have helped him learn the rules and keep him occupied when I am not there. Knows he is allowed to go in or out the back door whenever he wants when I prop it open. Knows he cannot go out the front door without a leash on. Will try to eat the brush when you try to brush out his beautiful coat and tail. He can be very vocal with a variety of barks, yowls, whines, howls, yips and yaps. Outside he howls at sirens getting all the dogs in the neighborhood howling. Will bark at people walking on the sidewalk or loud noises anytime. Has never tried to bite me over food or anything else. Is learning to take snacks from your hand gently but not quite learned to catch. Seems to like the few children he has met but is too big and rowdy for small children. And his tail. He chases it in circles falls down wrestling with it. Funny! Beautifull when he runs, can be out of sight in a second! Let’s help him find a home. Adoption fee is $150. If interested in giving this pet a home, please send us an email and we will send you an application to fill out. saveonepet@gmail.com Save 1 Pet is a 501 (c) 3 approved charity committed to helping homeless animals. We don't have a facility (shelter) but work out of our homes to foster the animals until they find a forever home. Please be advised that for all adoptions, we will conduct reference checks, including veterinary references. Our adoption fee for dogs includes spay/neuter, heart worm check, current vaccines, microchip, worming and heart worm/flea/tick prevention. For dog adoptions, we do conduct fence verification. When adopting an animal, you will be asked to complete our Adoption Contract
