Story
Named for his constant grin and tail wags, Felix is a super sweet boy who looks just like a Dingo; he could have some husky in him. The vet thinks he is about 1 year old. He weighs 50 lbs. He is now neutered, vaccinated, and house trained, has learned his new name, and the word “No.” He responds to whistling and “come” with moderate consistency. He is very friendly to other dogs and humans of all ages. He does not give kisses, ever, but loves to get hugs, snuggles, and scritches. He LOVES to run and play. He has a lot of energy (and endurance!), but isn’t hyperactive. He does well on a leash when he is walked solo, but if other dogs are around he just tries to run to greet and play with them. He especially loves rough-and-tumble wrestling, chase, and tug. He is totally happy being at the bottom of the pecking order here at my house and tolerates being herded and bossed around by one of my dogs, Raza. Surprisingly, he is very tolerant of her putting him in his place! If he isn’t playing with one or more of the other pups, he likes to get pets, nap, and keep me company. He is heartworm positive and will be treated soon. His adoption fee is $200 After reading this pet's info, if you are still interested in adopting, please fill out the online adoption application found at realgooddogrescue.com The ideal home for this Real Good Dog will have a secure fenced yard. Meet Jack Fostering in Tennessee Here's the link to our adoption application: https://form.jotform.com/201317338010137 This handsome devil is Jack. Jack’s person was deployed, and no one would take his dogs and care for them while deployed. We were asked if we could take them and find them new homes. We said of course. Jack is a happy guy that loves life. He still likes to run in the yard and have a good time. He does like to play fetch, but sometimes choose to keep his toy instead of bringing it back. He is a lover and loves all the attention he can get. He doesn’t meet a stranger; our volunteer was able to get great pictures after just having met him. Jack is crate and house trained and has pretty good house manners. If you would like to add this older gentleman to your family, use the link below to apply. Here's the link to our adoption application https://form.jotform.com/201317338010137 ANIMAL INFORMATION: Name: Jack Breed: Husky Mix Gender: Male DOB: 11/15/2014 Spayed/Neutered: Yes Vaccines: Current. Our fosters and adoption coordinators are the backbone of what we do. Our fosters work tirelessly to integrate our rescue animals into their home, so that we can provide as much information to potential adopters as possible. In addition, our coordinators offer as much information regarding the medical and behavioral and personality characteristics as is known to our organization. Without them, and our extremely generous donors, we would not be able to save as many animals as we do every day. With each adoption, we operate a Pay It Forward program, whenever possible, to help other animals in our rescue and future animals in need. If you are interested in one of our animals, please complete an application. The application link can be found on our Petfinder homepage under the picture. You may also find our application on our website at www.petmatchmakerrescue.com under the Adopt page. If they are listed on our website, their adoptions have not been finalized yet. That does not mean that we have not received several applications, already. Please complete an application if you are interested and we will keep you apprised of their current status. We are all volunteers that work full-time jobs, so please be patient with us. We will get back with you as quickly as possible. Story
We are looking for someone with experience in owning other high energy breeds, but also with experience with more unpredictable dogs, behavior wise. She can be very “resource” protective. Mainly with stuff she knows she isn’t supposed to have, along with the usual things (bones, dogfood, etc). The issue is that me and my wife will be looking to start a family soon, and we can’t trust her around little children all of the time, we are worried that she would take something of theirs then get protective of it around any of our children. This has happened many times with us, where she ends up finding something, then aggressively growls at us for getting close, only to try and bite us if we get too close. We have tried and tried to break her of this habit but nothing has resolved it when she gets in this mode. We do love her, and she is one of the cutest puppers, but due to her, at times, aggressive behavior, we would like to find her a home that is better equipped to give her a better life

Story
Updated 1May25 **Meet Nanook** Breed: Husky Mix Status: Available for adoption or foster (serious inquiries only—he’s ready to find his forever home!) **Background** Nanook’s journey began when he was rescued from a tough situation, but that didn’t stop this brave boy from shining! After facing challenges like a gunshot wound and a broken leg from being hit by a car, he’s bounced back like a champ! Now, he’s ready to find a loving family to call his own. **Personality** Nanook is the ultimate sweetheart—gentle and playful! He’s like a warm, furry hug with a wagging tail. Always eager to please, he’s the kind of dog who wants to make his humans and foster siblings happy. He has never met a person he didn’t adore! Nanook communicates with a cute howl but is not a noisy dog. As the comfort crew for other transport fosters, he loves jumping up on the gate and dropping his toys for everyone to enjoy. He’s friendly with everyone he meets and has a special knack for making new friends—both human and canine! He’s all about cuddles and will happily curl up next to you, ready to be your loyal companion. **Ready for His Forever Family!** Nanook is excited to find his forever home and be a cherished member of the family! Story
Updated 7May25 Meet Nemo – Your New Best Friend! 🐾 Hi, I’m Nemo, and I’m on a mission to find my forever home! Just like the little fish I’m named after, I’ve had a few adventures in life—but now I’m ready to settle down with someone who’ll love me as much as I’ll love them. Nemo is a unique and lovable mix of Siberian Husky and American Pit Bull, weighing in at around 40 lbs. He’s the kind of dog who turns heads—not just because he’s handsome, but because he moves through life with three legs and zero limits. Nemo lost his leg due to a congenital deformity, but don’t tell him that’s supposed to slow him down. He runs, plays, and wrestles with his dog friends like a champ! This sweet boy is approximately 2-3 years old, neutered, up to date on all vaccines, and fully recovered after bravely battling (and beating!) Parvo. He’s friendly, smart, and loves nothing more than being around his person—whether it’s playing in the yard, chewing on his favorite toys, or curling up on the couch for some serious cuddle time. Nemo is social and loves other dogs, enjoys car rides, and is always up for an adventure—or a nap. His personality is as big as his heart, and he’s looking for a forever family who will love him just the way he is: perfectly imperfect and 100% amazing. If you’re ready to open your heart and home to a dog who will reward you with loyalty, laughter, and love, Nemo is waiting to meet you. Adopt Nemo – because every superhero deserves a sidekick. 💙
