Story
to adopt or ask questions:  https://dogs2ndchance.org/     Meet Ace!  Ace is a handsome pit bull/husky mix with a big heart and even bigger energy! This playful guy loves to stay active—whether it’s running around the yard, going for long walks, or engaging in a good game of fetch, Ace is always ready for fun.   With his smart husky side and loyal pit bull spirit, Ace is both clever and affectionate. He thrives in an environment where he can get plenty of exercise and mental stimulation, so he’d do best with an active person or family who enjoys adventures as much as he does.   Ace is eager to please and would love a forever home that’s willing to keep working with him on his manners and training. He’s a quick learner and thrives with consistency. After playtime, he’s happy to settle down for some snuggles and attention from his favorite humans.   If you’re looking for a fun-loving, energetic companion who will keep you moving and fill your days with joy, Ace might just be your guy!!     Thank you for considering adopting a new family member. Story
Meet Rey! Rey is a 2-3 year old Husky Mix and weighs 56 pounds as of 4/3/25. Her name suggests, she’s an action packed girl. Rey loves to make friends of all kinds and is great with kids and adults! She’s very outgoing and definitely loves to play. She is fully potty trained and does well in a secure kennel. Rey loves to be part of the fun, she doesn’t like to be cooped up! However, she can be naughty if left unsupervised. She walks well on a leash. The car can be a little scary to jump into, but she enjoys the ride. If you’re looking for an active pup to add to your family, Rey is your girl! Rey is great with dogs her size but she shouldn't be with small dogs, cats or other animals. Rey is currently being fostered in TN. The adoption fee is $450 and that includes a health certificate and transport to NE. Story
Ovie is the sweetest boy ever, he will cuddle with you when you're sick or just lazy. He has the energy of a 2 year old but he is an old man (he doesn't act his age). He is great with kids. My 2 year old can lay on the couch with him and lay on his belly and they both will fall asleep. He like to get the zoomies at night. He LOVES the car and going for long walks. Most importantly he is like the husky breed he is very vocal and will talk back to you.

Story
Meet Jack Fostering in Tennessee Here's the link to our adoption application: https://form.jotform.com/201317338010137 This handsome devil is Jack. Jack’s person was deployed, and no one would take his dogs and care for them while deployed. We were asked if we could take them and find them new homes. We said of course. Jack is a happy guy that loves life. He still likes to run in the yard and have a good time. He does like to play fetch, but sometimes choose to keep his toy instead of bringing it back. He is a lover and loves all the attention he can get. He doesn’t meet a stranger; our volunteer was able to get great pictures after just having met him. Jack is crate and house trained and has pretty good house manners. If you would like to add this older gentleman to your family, use the link below to apply. Our fosters and adoption coordinators are the backbone of what we do. Our fosters work tirelessly to integrate our rescue animals into their home, so that we can provide as much information to potential adopters as possible. In addition, our coordinators offer as much information regarding the medical and behavioral and personality characteristics as is known to our organization. Without them, and our extremely generous donors, we would not be able to save as many animals as we do every day. With each adoption, we operate a Pay It Forward program, whenever possible, to help other animals in our rescue and future animals in need. If you are interested in one of our animals, please complete an application. The application link can be found on our Petfinder homepage under the picture. You may also find our application on our website at www.petmatchmakerrescue.com under the Adopt page. If they are listed on our website, their adoptions have not been finalized yet. That does not mean that we have not received several applications, already. Please complete an application if you are interested and we will keep you apprised of their current status. We are all volunteers that work full-time jobs, so please be patient with us. We will get back with you as quickly as possible. If you are interested in fostering for our organization, please complete an application. The application link can be found on our Petfinder homepage under the picture.
