Story
Have you ever seen such a HANDSOME boy ??!! Meet STORM. He is 18 months old; full of personality; SO SMART; playful and very loving ❤ Storm is up to date on his vaccines and rabies; and on monthly preventative for fleas/ticks and heartworms. He will be neutered and microchipped soon. Storm needs a family who is experienced with huskies and loves this breed. A physically fenced in yard would be beneficial for Storm to run and play in safely. He is still learning to walk on a leash. He is a true companion; expressive with his face and eyes; is very curious about everything; talkative at times; and eager to please. Due to his prey drive, a home with no small dogs and no cats is a must. Storm will probably excel as the only dog in the home, however with the right personality match, he gets along with other dogs his size. If you are interested in Storm please go to our website: wwwabetterlifeanimalrescue.com fill out our adoption application and send. We also require a home visit. We are on a mission to find Storm an amazing home.💕

Story
Milo was rescued in charlotte, NC. He is 1 year old, and he was kept in an apartment room over 12 hours a day. His owner was giving him away because “she couldn’t stand his whining” and everyone in the complex was complaining about it. He is not house trained and has hardly been exposed to the outside world until I got him 2 weeks ago. He is not good with cats, and is very playful. He loves dogs but his size is intimidating to some and when you combine that with his puppy energy, it can be stressful to some dogs. I walk with crutches and can’t provide him with the exercise he needs for that reason. He is starting to get anxious from being inside too much because all he wants is to run and play outside. I don’t have a fenced yard to let him play in because my other male dog did not get along with him and I have to keep everyone separated. I just wanted to save this baby from that bad situation or to be taken to a worse one, but I can’t keep him and I feel like I am failing him.

Story
Bella came to us after being kept in a crate that was too small for her. It took her awhile to learn how to walk correctly, play, and do all the things puppies do. Now she runs around with the other dogs like a pro. She does good with dogs and kids. She is very curious about cats but has not been in a situation where we can tell how good she is alone with them. Bella has not been socialized with children under 13 years old. At adoption events she seems afraid of small children and has even growled, so she would probably be best in a home without small children. She is such a loving dog! She is potty trained and loves toys. She is very energetic and would love someone that wants to play. She walks on a leash and has learned the basic commands. This sweet girl is very observant and curious, she doesn't miss a thing. **Adoption fee includes spay/neuter, vet visits, deworming, and shots. ** Adoption Application: mercyrescue.org

Story
This is Buster, we think he is between 3 and 4 years old. We believe he is a husky mix. He is perfect with other dogs of all sizes. He is also cat friendly. He is amazing with kids from babies to young and older kids. He is 100% house broke, as well as crate trained. He would love to have a fenced-in backyard to run and play in. He is trained to sit, lay, and come to you. He is moderately leash trained, and if he is outside, he must be on a leash unless in a fenced-in area, or he will take off running. He loves his toys, and he likes treats as well. He will come with some brand-new toys and treats to his new home. He loves to play fetch with you and show you all his toys. He will tear his toys apart quickly but loves to play with the remains for weeks! He is by far the best dog I have ever had the honor of having. He has been wormed and has also been treated for fleas. He does get very attached so whoever gets him needs to plan on making that his forever love filled home. **Adoption fee includes 1st shots, vet visits, and deworming. ** Adoption Application: mercyrescue.org

Story
Available for adoption! If you would like to meet Biscuit, please email mckenzie.cook@lincolncounty.org to set up an appointment as he is in a foster home currently!Introducing Biscuit!Biscuit is 3 years old and thought to be a Husky mix. Biscuit is described as a happy go lucky dog who loves everyone. He is heartworm negative however, he does have a medical condition that he will need help maintaining. He is under treatment for Discospondylitis- a disease caused by an infection that has entered the intervertebral disc of the spine, causing abnormal gait (high stepping in Biscuit’s case) and neurologic stability/spine stability issues. He has been maintaining it well with help from our vet staff and his foster, but he is needing a place to call his true home. He will need to be on long term medication to help him slowly repair the damage this disease has caused to the best of the medication’s capabilities. It is possible he may not fully overcome some of the effects of this disease. Biscuit is social with cats, dogs, and children. Biscuit’s adoption will be a little different due to his medical status to help ensure he goes to the best fit for him. Biscuit`s adopters will need to have a veterinary reference that they are in good standing with, as well as sitting down with our medical team to help understand his needs. This will need to be done over the course of 3 meet and greets with everyone in the home, dogs included. We try to keep barriers to adoption as minimal as possible, but want to help ensure he will have proper medical care for his condition as he moves into the home. If you would like to meet Biscuit, please email mckenzie.cook@lincolncounty.org to set up an appointment as he is in a foster home currently!
