Story
Bane is a loving husky. He loves women, kids, dogs and cats. He sometimes struggles around alpha men which has been the case since we got him. He doesn’t ever get mean but he gets a bit skittish if he deems the man in the house to be alpha. He loves car rides, walks and swimming….. really loves to swim. Our reason for wanting to give him a new home is that he’s not comfortable around me (dad) when I’m up walking around. If I’m sitting he’ll come right over for pets or if I’m taking him for a walk he’s all over me but I can’t break him of being afraid in the house when I’m standing. He loves to be brushed and that’s the best time for him to feel comfortable. He is 7 years old.

**PLEASE BE SURE YOU ARE READY TO ADOPT WHEN REQUESTING AN APPLICATION** 3-3-25: "Hello everyone, my name is ZEKE JR., and I am happy to be in a home with my Foster Mom, who is helping me learn the ropes and find my perfect home! You see, I was with a number of other dogs, my previous owner had too many of us, and we just ran loose, and they made the decision to surrender us to the local Animal Control. The people there were so nice to me, heck, I even got to hang out in the Directors office!! Well, my Foster Mom was asked to come meet me, and well, here I am! I appear to be a Husky/Kelpie mix, who is about 2 years old, 25 pounds, have all my vaccines, am neutered, chipped and heart worm negative!! I am good with other dogs, but I am a tad on the timid, shy side, which Mom is helping me to overcome. I will definitely do best with a fenced yard, and I do great on the leash. And good news, the shelter workers said I was good with Cats!! I have not been around children, but Mom feels calmer, older children will be best for me. I have a clean, dry crate every morning, and my house manners are coming along good! Do I sound like a sweet, shy boy that would fit into your life? Just contact my Foster Mom at citizens4animals@yahoo.com"

Story
???? This Handsome Husky Is Looking for His True Forever! ????Some of you may remember this beautiful boy from November — he was adopted quickly and we were so excited for him! Fast forward to now, and he’s back with us, hoping this next chapter will finally lead him to his for sure forever family. ??He returned to us as a stray after being found multiple times in a busy roadway. While his owner was contacted, reclaiming wasn’t in the cards, and he has now made his way to our adoption floor once again. But this sweet boy isn’t holding any of that against his previous family — and he hopes no one else will either. He’s looking ahead with hope, knowing his future can be brighter than ever!?? Classic Husky Alert:He loves a good escape attempt! He’ll need a home familiar with Husky do’s and don’ts, ready to keep him safe, enriched, and out of trouble. This lovable goofball deserves the very best for the rest of his life.?? Shelter Life:He’s a little sad to be back, but he’s hoping this stay is a short one — and that he’ll never have to return.?? Dog & Play Style:He does wonderfully with other dogs and is a bouncy, playful guy who thinks chase/tag is the greatest game ever invented! He LOVES toys, and fetch may just be his all-time favorite.Come meet this stunning 2-year-old in person and see if he’s the missing piece to your family! We always recommend meet-and-greets with other dogs and children to ensure the perfect fit for everyone.?? Remember the 3-3-3 Rule:3 days to decompress3 weeks to learn the routine3 months to fully adjust and feel at home?? Let’s get this sweet boy the forever family he deserves.A311204: 2 years old • Neutered male • 41.40 lbs • Microchipped & UTD on vaccines/preventatives at ICAS#adoptfromicas #myicasrescue

Story
We found Marshall abandoned at a Marshall's store. We were not looking to get a dog but couldn't leave him. As it is, we absolutely cannot keep him (or the coonhound in the picture, who we also found..) due to being away for work literally over half the time. He is extremely sweet natured and loving, a bit nervous, very quiet for a husky, is great with other dogs he's met and cats (we have a handful of cats), and little children/babies. Totally up to date on shots, has been neutered. I don't like the idea of rehoming a pet that believes he is "part of the pack" but due to life situations and being unable to give the time and attention that he requires, he NEEDS to go to a different home. I love this dog but cannot keep him and cannot afford to keep paying someone to take care of him when I'm gone for work. Ideally, someone would take him and the coonhound (Lenny) who has a similar story and is in the same situation as Marshall. But I understand if you can't take both. Probably 6yo.

Story
This sweet Husky was born in Las Vegas, spent years in Southern California, and now lives in North Carolina. Through all his travels, he’s stayed the same happy, friendly boy who loves people, attention, and going on long walks or to the dog park. He’s great with kids and has lived peacefully with a cat. He does have seizures, but they’re well controlled with medication as long as he stays on a steady feeding schedule. Due to a recent family separation and working multiple jobs, I can’t give him the consistent care he deserves. He’s a loyal, joyful dog looking for a loving home that can keep him on routine and give him the time and affection he thrives on. He will make an amazing companion for the right person.
