Story
In the past four months, Tex has lived in at least four different homes. The man needs a break. We’ve been told that Tex is very protective over children, and the most recent owner stated Tex would try to bite him when he would get after his kids about something. He stated that if it happened again, he was going to kill Tex. Unfortunately we didn’t witness this behavior and have to take the description at face value. We’re still getting to know Tex, as he was adopted after only three days the last time he was here, but he seems like a typical husky. We know huskies are not “easy” dogs, and Tex is looking for an adopter with husky experience, willing to put in the work and fully commit to him forever. We’re open to doing meet and greets with kids and other dogs, and we will even cat test him if needed.

Story
Meet Sadie 🤍Sadie is an 8-year-old husky with the gentlest soul and the softest eyes. She was once chosen from the dog pound and loved, but when a new puppy entered her home, Sadie was the one left behind. Through it all, she’s remained exactly who she’s always been—kind, patient, and quietly hopeful that her forever family is still out there.Sadie is laid back and easygoing, the kind of dog who’s happy just being near her people. She enjoys playing outside, soaking up the fresh air, and then settling in for a good rest. And yes—she “talks” like a true husky, offering sweet little conversations that will make you smile every single day. She’s wonderful with other dogs, cats, and kids, making her the perfect fit for just about any family. Sadie isn’t asking for much—just a home where she can be cherished, included, and never overlooked again. At 8 years old, she has so much love left to give. All she needs is someone willing to give her the chance she deserves. 🐾🤍More information? Call Marion Area Humane Society at 740-389-6548 or email at manager@mahspets.org

Story
She was adopted from Kuwait as a young puppy and has grown into a smart, energetic, and affectionate husky. She is curious, playful, and thrives with structure and activity. After coming to the U.S., she adjusted well to home life and enjoys companionship and being part of a routine. Unfortunately, due to an unexpected job loss and an upcoming move, we are no longer able to provide the stable housing and space she needs. We have been actively trying to find the right home for her for several weeks because our priority is making sure she goes to someone who understands the breed and can give her the time, space, and activity she deserves. She would do best with an experienced owner who enjoys an active lifestyle and understands huskies intelligence and exercise needs. This decision has been incredibly difficult, and we are committed to finding her a loving, permanent home.

Story
Marshmallow 🍫🔥 Meet Marshmallow, the sweet, squishy pup who’s ready to melt your heart! Though he was dealt a rough hand in life, this goofball is all about toasting up some fun and finding a home where he can be his goofy self. Marshmallow needs a home without cats. He is dog selective. He does not do well with the male dogs here. He seems to do better with female dogs. If you have a female dog, we could do a meet and greet. Marshmallow has done well with children. Like a perfect s’more, Marshmallow’s heart is filled with sweetness, and he’s ready to share that love with a family who’ll appreciate his playful spirit. He’s the kind of dog who might be a little gooey around the edges, but once you give him a chance, he’ll be the most delightful treat you could ask for. So, grab a seat by the campfire—Marshmallow is ready to be the marshmallow to your s’more!
