Meet Marshmallow. Marshmallow came to us from a rough humane case, but you'd never know it by his joyful spirit. This sweet, goofy boy lives for playtime with his people and absolutely loves to show off his lightning-fast zoomies in the yard. Rain? Snow? Sunshine? He doesn't mind one bit - as long as he gets to be outside having fun. Just beware mud puddles are his absolute favorite! He does wonderfully with kids of all ages and thrives on attention and activity. When it comes to cats, Marshmallow has a high prey drive and has not done well with the house cats at the shelter. With other dogs, he can be a bit selective doing really well with some and not so great with a few others. If you have a canine companion already in your home, we ask that a meet and greet is scheduled before deciding to take Marshmallow home! Marshmallow is still polishing up on his manners - he's working on his potty training and can get a bit jumpy when he gets very excited. But with his eagerness to learn he would truly blossom with a family ready to turn training into a fun bonding adventure. An active home with a yard or one that could take him on frequent walks would be perfect for this energetic sweetheart. If you are looking for a loyal and playful best friend who will keep you laughing (and maybe a little muddy), Marshmallow is ready to run straight into your heart! Sapphire is a gorgeous new face here at FDHS! This stunning Husky was found running loose in the cold for several days before finally being brought to safety. After warming up and enjoying a full belly, her personality is starting to shine through and we’re loving what we see so far.Sapphire LOVES to sing and has just a touch of Husky drama. She walks beautifully on leash and keeps her kennel super clean throughout the day. She will need to be closely supervised and always taken outside on leash, as she can clear a six-foot fence with ease. Because of this, Sapphire is looking for a loving, active home that’s ready to keep both her body and brain busy with regular walks, runs, and enrichment.She’s shown curiosity about making dog friends, but we’re still learning how she feels about cats and other small animals.All that gorgeous white Husky floof does come with a price, lots of hair! Sapphire will need daily brushing and routine grooming to keep her coat healthy and looking its best.Though she can be a little timid at first, Sapphire has been incredibly sweet with our staff and volunteers. If you’re interested in giving this beautiful girl a loving home, please submit an adoption application.
