My wife and I adopted Hades as our first family dog. He’s been a great dog but unfortunately our family is growing with a new baby on the way, and we just moved into a much smaller house on much less land. He’s really a great dog and deserves to live where he has lots of room to run and play and get out all his husky energy, and hopefully he is lucky enough to go from one loving family to another.

Meet Cotton Candy! She is 3 year old husky mix. She is a playful and affectionate girl who's looking for her forever home! Cotton Candy is a real people-person (or should we say dog?) and she loves nothing more than making new friends and getting all the attention. She can be a little bit sensitive about fast movements and prefers to have space when overwhelmed. For that reason we do not recommend her to home with kids under 13. She appears to have basic training but can be a little stubborn and try to make you work for her. And she's so cute doing it that it can be hard to correct her but also can't let her get her way. Cotton Candy is still new to the shelter, we learn more about her everyday for more information or to answer any questions contact the shelter. We can't wait for this girl to find her forever home.

Blue is a 5-year-old female Husky–Pug mix with a beautiful tan and black coat and an even bigger heart. She came to us with eight puppies and did an amazing job raising them. Now that all of her puppies have found their forever homes, it's finally Blue's turn to find a family of her own.Blue requires a securely fenced yard where she can safely run, play, and enjoy spending time outdoors. She loves treats, being active, and spending time outside exploring her surroundings. After dedicating herself to raising her puppies, Blue is ready for a forever home where she can be showered with the love and attention she deserves.

Story
Sage is 3 years old, smart and loving with LOTS of energy. Along with the husky and great Dane mix, she has some cane Corso in her too. She was taken into our home because the home she was born into was extremely unhealthy. We felt we could offer her better but it was a situation of biting off more than we could chew. Due to medical reasons in the family, she needs more training and exercise than we can provide. She is stronger than the main person in charge of her care and that adds to the difficulties. She gets along with most everyone who lives (4 kids 4 cats and 1 med. dog) and comes to our house but she has had one bad incident with a neighbors small dog, which was our tipping point to feeling it's time to surrender so that nothing worse happens, though we love her dearly. She needs a big yard where she can run to her hearts content and someone who has the physical strength required to assist in training and making sure she can be controlled if her exciteable drive takes over.

Lycan is an absolutely adorable senior Husky looking for a loving home to spend his golden years in. This powdered sugar faced guy is still pretty new to FDHS, but he has already stolen plenty of hearts. So far, Lycan has been an absolute angel. He keeps a tidy kennel, is easy for our staff to handle, and is just an all around happy guy. He’s been pretty indifferent to the other animals and the only time he really makes himself known is when he starts serenading everyone with his Husky songs. It’s easy to see that Lycan was once a cherished member of a family, and we’d love nothing more than to help him find that feeling again. If you have room in your home for a laid back old dude with a lot of love left to give, Lycan would love to meet you.**Neutered, microchipped, heart worm negative, and up-to-date on vaccines & monthly prevention. Weighs about 60 lbs**
