Story
Amarok is a gentle northern girl with a calm, loving spirit who is ready to find her forever family. Though she’s about eight years old, she still has a youthful energy for long walks and outdoor adventures - but when she’s inside, she’s the picture of relaxation and contentment.Amarok adores being with her people and would be happiest in a home where she isn’t left alone for long stretches. She coexists peacefully with other dogs in her foster home, though she doesn’t interact much with them, and would do equally well as an only dog if she had plenty of human companionship. She has a prey drive and will happily chase after squirrels, rabbits, or cats, so a cat-free home is best. On walks, she does best in a harness, though her foster sometimes uses a slip lead for extra control when wildlife appears.Amarok is perfectly house-trained, shows no destructive habits, and has no signs of separation anxiety. She isn’t interested in toys, but she absolutely loves her walks and the chance to explore. Liver treats are her favorite reward, though she’s happy to snack on carrots, blueberries, or watermelon too.She has met children and was calm and friendly, so we believe she would do well in a home with respectful kids. Visitors are always welcomed warmly - no jumping, just gentle greetings. Her ideal forever home could be with a single person, couple, or family, as long as she has time with her humans and daily exercise. A fenced yard would be wonderful, but she would also be perfectly happy with regular walks and hikes. Amarok is not high-energy but is far from a couch potato - she strikes the perfect balance.Despite her age, Amarok still has a youthful spark and so much love to give. If you’re looking for a loyal companion who will enjoy life’s adventures as much as life’s quiet moments, Amarok may just be the perfect match! Please note that due to the high volume of applications our volunteers process, we will only contact those with a strong potential for a successful match. NAME: Ghost Age: 5 Breed: Mexi-Mix Sex: Male Weight: Approx. 50 lbs Location: Ottawa, ON Adoption fee: $600.00 Spayed/Neutered: Yes Leash trained: Good Walker House trained: Yes (must be on strict routine) Kids/Cats/Dogs: Yes, dogs, cats unknown, children 6+ Vetting: Up to date on all vaccination, sterilized, microchipped, 4dx tested: negative for Heart worm. Currently on flea/tick/heart worm prevention, dewormed and vet checked before arriving. Medical Issues: double hip dysplasia - under control Comes with 4 weeks free pet insurance (after initial vet visit) 🌟 Meet Ghost – The Dog Who Survived the Unthinkable 🌟 Ghost’s story is not an easy one to tell. In Mexico, he suffered cruelty no animal should ever endure—he was beaten with a shovel by a vicious couple, left broken in body and spirit. On top of that, he was diagnosed with double hip dysplasia. But somehow… this boy never gave up. He held onto hope, and he held onto love. Ghost is a beautiful, gentle soul with a big personality. He’s a bit of a chatterbox so he’ll happily let you know when it’s mealtime! He walks wonderfully on leash and absolutely loves to swim, which is one of his favourite ways to enjoy the outdoors. Ghost thrives on a strict routine. Regular bathroom breaks and a structured schedule help him feel secure and prevent any accidents. He does have some anxiety, so he’ll do best in a calm home where someone is around often to give him the reassurance he needs. Ghost’s ideal home would be one with a fenced in backyard. He gets along well with both dogs and cats, but he isn’t suited to households with children or loud, unpredictable environments. Ghost is also managing hip dysplasia very wel but he’ll need an adopter committed to supporting his ongoing care and comfort. If you can offer Ghost the patient, steady, and loving home he deserves, he’ll reward you with loyalty, companionship, and plenty of heart. If you feel you would be the right fit for Ghost, please fill out an adoption application at https://www.allpawsmatter.ca/apply-to-adopt/ All APM dogs are UTD on vaccinations, microchipped, spayed or neutered, dewormed, Heart worm (4dx snap) tested and arrive with a health certificate. They come to adopter with a harness, a collar and two leashes for safety. NOTE: The above description is relevant to this dog in its current and previous setting. Home changes and adopter personalities can bring out different behaviours not previously seen. We also do not claim or suggest that our dogs are hypo-allergenic or that they shed/do not shed. BREED DISCLAIMER: We are never sure of the breed of our dogs since they arrive off the streets or shelters. It is a guess only!

Story
Elsa is a 1-year-old female Wolfdog, weighing 23kg. She was rescued just in time from a shelter where she was at risk of euthanasia. Now, she’s looking for a loving family who will give her the life she deserves. Elsa is full of energy, curiosity, and love, making every day an adventure! Personality & Behavior Elsa is a bright and affectionate girl who absolutely adores people. She expresses her excitement with joyful jumps when greeting her favorite humans. While this is endearing, she already understands the "sit" command, so with consistent training, she can learn to greet politely. Elsa thrives on human interaction and will form a deep bond with her owner through love, training, and patience. She is still learning how to socialize with other dogs properly. While she is not aggressive, she needs time and guidance to build confidence in dog interactions. Currently, she is undergoing training to help her navigate social situations with other pups. With continued support, she will improve and learn to play in a balanced way. Activity & Training Needs As a Wolfdog, Elsa is naturally athletic and has impressive jumping ability. She needs an active lifestyle with plenty of exercise to stay happy and well-behaved. A daily routine of long walks, outdoor adventures, and playtime will help her burn off energy and settle calmly at home. She is currently in training, where she follows a structured routine that includes three outdoor exercise sessions a day for potty breaks and play. If her new family maintains a similar schedule, Elsa will quickly adjust to her new home. Elsa is an intelligent dog who picks up training quickly. She already knows "sit" and is learning to wait calmly for treats. With consistent training, she has the potential to learn many more commands and become a well-mannered companion. The Perfect Home for Elsa Elsa will thrive in a home with: ✔️ An active family who enjoys outdoor activities ✔️ Someone committed to training and bonding with her ✔️ Experience with large dogs (or a willingness to learn) Elsa is young and still learning, but she is full of potential. With love, patience, and the right training, she will grow into a loyal and devoted companion. If you’re looking for a smart, energetic, and affectionate dog to share adventures with, Elsa is waiting for you!

Story
Quick Facts Name: StellaAge: 2.5 years old (born May 2022)Gender: FemaleNeutered: YesBreed: HuskyColour: White & BlackWeight: 25 kg approximate    My Story I’m Stella, a brave and loving Siberian Husky with a heart full of courage and a spirit that shines brighter than ever. Let me tell you my story!I’m a beautiful black-and-white Husky, weighing about 25 kg (55 lbs). My journey began in a breeding facility where I endured tough conditions before being rescued from a local shelter. Along the way, I faced some challenges, including glaucoma, which led to the removal of my eyes. But don’t let that fool you—I navigate the world with confidence, relying on my other senses and my incredible memory to thrive. Thanks to loving volunteers, I’ve blossomed into a happy, affectionate pup who’s ready to find her forever home.    My Personality I’m a friendly and affectionate girl who loves people. While I had a rough start and was wary of humans initially, I’ve completely opened up and now adore spending time with those who care for me. I’m full of energy, playful, and love to show off my sweet and goofy side. I might get startled if someone touches my face unexpectedly, but with gentle guidance, I quickly regain my trust and composure. Once I know you’re my person, I’ll remember you forever—my loyalty knows no bounds.    My Social Side I’m great with people and enjoy meeting new friends, both human and canine. While I’m happy to share my space and food with people, I might give a little growl if another dog approaches my food bowl—it’s just my way of setting boundaries. I rarely bark, and my calm demeanor makes me a great companion. I’ve adjusted well to life without sight and navigate social situations with ease, relying on my incredible memory and intuition.    Energy and Activities I have a moderate to high energy level typical of Huskies, so I love getting outside for walks and playtime. Despite my blindness, I walk beautifully on a leash and enjoy exploring the world around me with my human. At home, I settle down nicely after some activity and enjoy quiet time by your side. I’m house-trained, comfortable with both outdoor potty routines and indoor pads, making me adaptable to various living arrangements.   Special Notes I’m a resilient, affectionate dog who’s overcome challenges with grace and a wagging tail. My unique journey has only made me stronger and more loving. I don’t let my blindness slow me down—I’m still as playful, active, and joyful as any other dog. With my incredible memory and bond with people, I’ll be your most loyal companion. I might need a bit of extra understanding, but I’ll reward you with endless love, cuddles, and unforgettable moments!   For More YouTube Clips, Click Here!Stella's Playlist ##2458332##
