Though she’s about eight years old, she still has a youthful energy for long walks and outdoor adventures - but when she’s inside, she’s the picture of relaxation and contentment.Amarok adores being with her people and would be happiest in a home where she isn’t left alone for long stretches. She coexists peacefully with other dogs in her foster home, though she doesn’t interact much with them, and would do equally well as an only dog if she had plenty of human companionship.She has a prey drive and will happily chase after squirrels, rabbits, or cats, so a cat-free home is best. On walks, she does best in a harness, though her foster sometimes uses a slip lead for extra control when wildlife appears.Amarok is perfectly house-trained, shows no destructive habits, and has no signs of separation anxiety. She isn’t interested in toys, but she absolutely loves her walks and the chance to explore. Liver treats are her favorite reward, though she’s happy to snack on carrots, blueberries, or watermelon too.She has met children and was calm and friendly, so we believe she would do well in a home with respectful kids.
