Story
Amarok is a gentle northern girl with a calm, loving spirit who is ready to find her forever family. Though she’s about eight years old, she still has a youthful energy for long walks and outdoor adventures - but when she’s inside, she’s the picture of relaxation and contentment.Amarok adores being with her people and would be happiest in a home where she isn’t left alone for long stretches. She coexists peacefully with other dogs in her foster home, though she doesn’t interact much with them, and would do equally well as an only dog if she had plenty of human companionship. She has a prey drive and will happily chase after squirrels, rabbits, or cats, so a cat-free home is best. On walks, she does best in a harness, though her foster sometimes uses a slip lead for extra control when wildlife appears.Amarok is perfectly house-trained, shows no destructive habits, and has no signs of separation anxiety. She isn’t interested in toys, but she absolutely loves her walks and the chance to explore. Liver treats are her favorite reward, though she’s happy to snack on carrots, blueberries, or watermelon too.She has met children and was calm and friendly, so we believe she would do well in a home with respectful kids. Visitors are always welcomed warmly - no jumping, just gentle greetings. Her ideal forever home could be with a single person, couple, or family, as long as she has time with her humans and daily exercise. A fenced yard would be wonderful, but she would also be perfectly happy with regular walks and hikes. Amarok is not high-energy but is far from a couch potato - she strikes the perfect balance.Despite her age, Amarok still has a youthful spark and so much love to give. If you’re looking for a loyal companion who will enjoy life’s adventures as much as life’s quiet moments, Amarok may just be the perfect match! Please note that due to the high volume of applications our volunteers process, we will only contact those with a strong potential for a successful match. To be considered, please visit www.K9C.ca to complete our online application.

NAME: Ghost Age: 5 Breed: Mexi-Mix Sex: Male Weight: Approx. 50 lbs Location: Ottawa, ON Adoption fee: $600.00 Spayed/Neutered: Yes Leash trained: Good Walker House trained: Yes (must be on strict routine) Kids/Cats/Dogs: Yes, dogs, cats unknown, children 6+ Vetting: Up to date on all vaccination, sterilized, microchipped, 4dx tested: negative for Heart worm. Currently on flea/tick/heart worm prevention, dewormed and vet checked before arriving. Medical Issues: double hip dysplasia - under control Comes with 4 weeks free pet insurance (after initial vet visit) 🌟 Meet Ghost – The Dog Who Survived the Unthinkable 🌟 Ghost’s story is not an easy one to tell. In Mexico, he suffered cruelty no animal should ever endure—he was beaten with a shovel by a vicious couple, left broken in body and spirit. On top of that, he was diagnosed with double hip dysplasia. But somehow… this boy never gave up. He held onto hope, and he held onto love. Ghost is a beautiful, gentle soul with a big personality. He’s a bit of a chatterbox so he’ll happily let you know when it’s mealtime! He walks wonderfully on leash and absolutely loves to swim, which is one of his favourite ways to enjoy the outdoors. Ghost thrives on a strict routine. Regular bathroom breaks and a structured schedule help him feel secure and prevent any accidents. He does have some anxiety, so he’ll do best in a calm home where someone is around often to give him the reassurance he needs. Ghost’s ideal home would be one with a fenced in backyard. He gets along well with both dogs and cats, but he isn’t suited to households with children or loud, unpredictable environments. Ghost is also managing hip dysplasia very wel but he’ll need an adopter committed to supporting his ongoing care and comfort. If you can offer Ghost the patient, steady, and loving home he deserves, he’ll reward you with loyalty, companionship, and plenty of heart. If you feel you would be the right fit for Ghost, please fill out an adoption application at https://www.allpawsmatter.ca/apply-to-adopt/ All APM dogs are UTD on vaccinations, microchipped, spayed or neutered, dewormed, Heart worm (4dx snap) tested and arrive with a health certificate. They come to adopter with a harness, a collar and two leashes for safety. NOTE: The above description is relevant to this dog in its current and previous setting. Home changes and adopter personalities can bring out different behaviours not previously seen. We also do not claim or suggest that our dogs are hypo-allergenic or that they shed/do not shed. BREED DISCLAIMER: We are never sure of the breed of our dogs since they arrive off the streets or shelters. It is a guess only!

Story
**Note: currently, Saenan is in Korea. but he will fly to Toronto once he is adopted. Background Beautiful Saenan was rescued from a city pound in Sangju, Korea, last winter. Since then, he’s been living safely at our partner boarding house, sharing his days with other rescue dogs. Personality & Socialization Saenan is a happy, bright boy with a big heart. He loves to play with other dogs. Especially those who enjoy running and chasing just like him. Being a Husky, he’s full of energy and joy, and outdoor playtime is truly his favorite part of the day. When it comes to other dogs, Saenan has been very sociable and well-mannered. He spends most of his time with dogs around his size, and he’s always comfortable and loving in their company. He gets along easily and enjoys being part of the group. Saenan is also very affectionate and friendly with people, men, women, and even new faces. He warms up quickly to anyone who shows him kindness and loves being close to his humans. Behaviours Saenan has been an easygoing dog since joining our adoption program. He rides well in the car, does fine during baths and vet visits, and follows his human’s lead nicely. He doesn’t bark excessively and enjoys a calm, happy routine. After his outdoor play sessions, he relaxes quietly and enjoys cuddling or resting beside his friends. Saenan walks well on leash and hasn’t shown destructive behaviors. Health & Diet When rescued, Saenan was treated for heartworm and has made a full recovery. He is now healthy, happy, and ready for his forever home. He’s neutered, microchipped, vaccinated, dewormed, and on monthly parasite prevention. He eats dry food twice a day and has shown no allergies. Ideal Home Saenan would do best with someone familiar with the Husky breed. Ideally, a family who understands their energy and exercise needs. He would love a home with another friendly, playful dog around his size to keep him company and share his adventures. An active person or family who enjoys outdoor activities would be a perfect match for him. Saenan is very loyal, smart, and loving, whoever welcomes him home will be very lucky to have such a faithful companion. ---------------------------- For more info about the dog or the adoption agreement, please submit your link. https://www.freekoreandogs.org/dog/saenan/

Story
Quick Facts Name: StellaAge: 2.5 years old (born May 2022)Gender: FemaleNeutered: YesBreed: HuskyColour: White & BlackWeight: 25 kg approximate    My Story I’m Stella, a brave and loving Siberian Husky with a heart full of courage and a spirit that shines brighter than ever. Let me tell you my story!I’m a beautiful black-and-white Husky, weighing about 25 kg (55 lbs). My journey began in a breeding facility where I endured tough conditions before being rescued from a local shelter. Along the way, I faced some challenges, including glaucoma, which led to the removal of my eyes. But don’t let that fool you—I navigate the world with confidence, relying on my other senses and my incredible memory to thrive. Thanks to loving volunteers, I’ve blossomed into a happy, affectionate pup who’s ready to find her forever home.    My Personality I’m a friendly and affectionate girl who loves people. While I had a rough start and was wary of humans initially, I’ve completely opened up and now adore spending time with those who care for me. I’m full of energy, playful, and love to show off my sweet and goofy side. I might get startled if someone touches my face unexpectedly, but with gentle guidance, I quickly regain my trust and composure. Once I know you’re my person, I’ll remember you forever—my loyalty knows no bounds.    My Social Side I’m great with people and enjoy meeting new friends, both human and canine. While I’m happy to share my space and food with people, I might give a little growl if another dog approaches my food bowl—it’s just my way of setting boundaries. I rarely bark, and my calm demeanor makes me a great companion. I’ve adjusted well to life without sight and navigate social situations with ease, relying on my incredible memory and intuition.    Energy and Activities I have a moderate to high energy level typical of Huskies, so I love getting outside for walks and playtime. Despite my blindness, I walk beautifully on a leash and enjoy exploring the world around me with my human. At home, I settle down nicely after some activity and enjoy quiet time by your side. I’m house-trained, comfortable with both outdoor potty routines and indoor pads, making me adaptable to various living arrangements.   Special Notes I’m a resilient, affectionate dog who’s overcome challenges with grace and a wagging tail. My unique journey has only made me stronger and more loving. I don’t let my blindness slow me down—I’m still as playful, active, and joyful as any other dog. With my incredible memory and bond with people, I’ll be your most loyal companion. I might need a bit of extra understanding, but I’ll reward you with endless love, cuddles, and unforgettable moments!   For More YouTube Clips, Click Here!Stella's Playlist ##2458332##

ALL ABOUT ME  Name: Queen Age: Around 2 years old Gender: Female Spayed/Neutered: Yes Breed: Laika Colour: Brown, White, Gray Weight: 20kg / 40lbs Microchipped, Vaccinated, and Dewormed   MY RESCUE STORY Hello there! I’m Queen — a gentle and friendly soul with a heart full of hope and love to give. I’m not quite sure how I ended up in a city pound, but I truly believe everything happens for a reason. Thankfully, some kind-hearted rescuers saw the special sparkle in my eye and gave me a precious second chance to find the love and happiness I deserve. Now, I’m ready to begin the next beautiful chapter of my life — one filled with warmth, comfort, and a forever family who will cherish me just as I am.   MY HEALTH Fully vaccinated (5-round series complete) I’ve been spayed and have no known health issues.   MY PERSONALITY I’m super friendly and absolutely adore people — and I get along great with dogs around my size too! Just like my name, I carry myself with a little royal flair — I love soaking up affection and being the center of attention. Whether it's cuddles, compliments, or playtime, I’m always ready to shine!   I have a high-energy spirit and a heart full of curiosity — true to my Laika roots, I love to run, explore, and embrace every adventure that comes my way. Life is exciting, and I’m always ready to dive in nose-first! When you meet me in person, you’ll see just how stunning I really am — photos and videos simply don’t do me justice. My big, soulful brown eyes have a way of looking right into your heart, and I promise, it won’t take long before I’ve completely stolen it.   MY SOCIAL SKILLS With People: I absolutely love people! Whether you’re an old friend or someone I just met, I’m always happy to receive affection and gentle pets. I haven’t had much experience with kids yet, but because of my sweet and friendly nature, I think I’d do just fine with calm, respectful children who know how to approach me gently.   Don’t let my slightly larger size fool you — I’m a total softie! I’m easy to pick up, and once I feel safe and comfortable, I’ll even roll over and show you my belly as a sign of trust. I’m also very well-mannered when it comes to food — no guarding here. I’m just a loving pup looking to share all the cuddles I can!   With Dogs:  I enjoy meeting new dog friends and generally get along well with dogs around my size. I have a playful, high-energy personality and a confident spirit, so slow, thoughtful introductions are best when I meet new canine companions. While I’m friendly, I’m also not afraid to stand my ground if another dog is being pushy or rude — I like my friendships to be respectful and balanced!   I do have a bit of a jealous streak when it comes to sharing affection. I love being the center of attention and can get a little competitive if another dog is soaking up all the love. Because of this, I’d thrive either as the only dog in the home or with a family that understands and can manage my queen-like tendencies with patience and care.   When it comes to mealtime, I really appreciate having my own space. If another dog gets too close while I’m eating, I might let out a little growl — not to be mean, just my way of saying, “Hey, this is my bowl.” Feeding me separately keeps things calm and respectful for everyone. I can get a bit too enthusiastic around smaller pups and may try to chase them at first, so I’ll need more management and supervision with small pups. With clear boundaries, thoughtful introductions, and positive guidance, I adjust well and respond beautifully. With the right structure and support, I’ll be your fun, loyal, and affectionate companion — full of personality, heart, and love to give!   With Cats:  I haven’t met any cats yet, so my reaction is unknown. Due to my strong prey drive, I would do best in a home without small animals.   ENERGY AND ACTIVITIES Just as you’d expect from a Laika, I’m full of energy and enthusiasm! I need a good dose of exercise and playtime to burn off that excitement before I’m ready to settle in and relax indoors. I absolutely love to play — whether it’s with other dogs or my favorite humans, I’m always up for fun and adventure!   TRAINING & HABITS I’m still working on my leash manners — I can get a bit excited when something interesting catches my eye, so I might pull here and there. But I try my best to follow my handler’s lead and stay on track. I’m also learning how to settle in my kennel. Right now, I may whine a little when I’m inside, but with time, patience, and consistency, I’ll get the hang of it!   When it comes to potty time, I prefer going outdoors — I like to keep things tidy that way! And if I want something or need your attention, I might give a few barks to let you know. What can I say? I like to be heard! With a little guidance and love, I know I’ll continue to grow into a well-mannered, devoted companion.   MY IDEAL HOME I’m looking for a patient, loving family who can help me become the best version of myself. I’ll thrive in a home with: A family that offers a safe, structured, and calm environment. A family that enjoys spending quality time together indoors & outdoors. A family that can shower me with love and attention. A loving family who understands my occasional jealousy and strong love for food around other dogs, and is willing to guide me with patience and positive reinforcement so I can continue learning to share and grow into my best self. Ideally the only dog in the home or a home with another calm, confident dog of my size. Understanding of my high prey drive and willingness to guide me with positive reinforcement training to reduce chasing instincts, improve focus, and help me stay calm around small animals.   SPECIAL NOTES Don’t let my elegant, wolf-like appearance fool you — beneath this graceful exterior is a total goofball! I’m a playful, silly girl who just wants to be by my humans’ side as much as possible. Whether we’re out exploring or snuggled up at home, I’ll be your cheerful shadow and your most loyal friend. I’ve got a heart full of love, a spirit full of fun, and I’m just waiting for the right person or family to share it all with. If you're looking for a sweet, goofy, and devoted companion wrapped in a beautiful, majestic package — I might just be your perfect match. I can’t wait to meet you and start our happily ever after!   For More YouTube Clips, Click Here!Queen’s YouTube Playlist ##2455776##
