Story
Meet Sky! Age: 4 Weight: 65lbs Sky is a happy-go-lucky Husky who wants nothing more than to be adored by her human family. She is a cheerful, lighthearted pup with ALL the friendly vibes towards people, kids, and other dogs. Sky is the kind of dog who is in heaven when she's surrounded by her humans petting, loving, and talking to her. She wants to be a part of everything you do - especially when it involves exercise and affection. Huskies generally need quite a bit of physical activity, but Sky has activity limitations right now during heartworm treatment, which the shelter will provide (even if she's adopted) until finished. Once her HW treatment is complete, Sky needs daily exercise, activity, and play to meet her high-energy needs. Sky - like other dogs bred to do a specific job - also wants to use her brain; fun games and training time will give her the outlet to use those Husky skills. If you know Husky vocals, you'll understand why Sky cannot be adopted into an apartment home where she might annoy the neighbors! Please invite Sky into your (not apartment!) home where we know she will be a kind, loving, and generous queen of your castle.

Story
Meet Dirk! Age: 6 Weight: 36lbs Don't let Dirk's pictures fool you. While he might have put on a smirk for the camera, Dirk is one handsome devil in person. He is just what you would imagine of a dog with some Husky in him. Dirk is athletic, energetic, smart (he already knows sit, down, and stay), and an all-around wonderful companion animal. He has all the friendliness, charm, and personality of a gallon-sized Husky; he just has it in a quart-sized body! Dirk has the vocal range of a Husky, so living in an apartment or home with shared walls is not advised. Dirk has shown a (too) keen interest in chickens, so living with chickens is also out of the question! If you've always loved the independent-thinking, striking beauty, and exceptionally social nature of a Husky, Dirk is keen to meet you and show you what a loyal and loving friend he can be.

Story
Sassy boy Sailor, is a dog that came so close to losing his life in a small town shelter in Tennessee.   He was so upset in the shelter that he was showing a truly bad side of his personality because of his fear.  The best foster mom ever who knows about behavior altering, took him home and learned how to show him there was nothing to fear so much.  He is a vibrantly alive 1-2 yrs old, 46 pounds Husky/Lab mix boy that is just so very sweet, handsome, energetic, agile, affectionate, intelligent, amazingly clean, and funny dog.   Our suggestion on the best home for him would be one that is with a strong dog leader who has no young children (over 12 is fine) and no cats.  This boy loves to go for hikes, long distance or short walks, playing fetch and being chased by dogs that he considers his friend, food rewards, food puzzles, being taught things new and taking his toys on his walks.  This funny, silly and full of life boy is a one in a million miracle.  He was destined to be euthanized and only because of this wonderful young woman who “knows” how to reach a dog’s inner self and reassure them they have nothing to fear, and now Sailor is here to live and love and be your handsome best friend in life.  All he wants to do in life is please you and love you with all his heart.  We do have Sailor on an inexpensive calming tranquilizer that has made all the difference for him and we will along a supply for a while.  If you are interested in talking with us about Sailor joining your life, please email us at ccrtennessee@gmail.com ADOPTION FEE REQUIRED. Story
Parker Blue is a very good looking 3 years old Husky/Shepherd mix boy who is approximately 65 pounds and a fun dog to have in your life.  His owner recently died and sadly no one in the family wanted him and now they want him either gone or they will shoot him.  True fact.  He’s very friendly, walks on a lead, good with other dogs, but no cats, birds or rabbits, etc.  Parker Blue has never been around kids under 12 yrs old but was good with the older ones.  This poor boy was shown lots of attention and loved by his person who passed away.  Now he is outside and he used to live inside.  The family is impatient and truly will do harm in a permanent way if he is not gone soon. We can tell his feelings are hurt and he doesn’t understand why he’s on a tie-out and can no longer go in his home or see his dad. How awful that is.  We are pleading for Parker Blue to have a chance to love you and your family.  Critter Cavalry Rescue would greatly appreciate assistance with Parker Blue. Time is running out and he needs to find a temporary foster home or a forever home.   Can you help bring this boy to a safe place?  Please contact  ccrtennessee@gmail.com  if you can assist PLEASE NOTE:   Our dogs and cats are fostered in Tennessee and can transport weekly up to the Northeast region.  Request an application and learn more about Critter Cavalry at https://www.crittercavalry.com/adoption.May 8, 2024, 3:35 pm

Story
If you are looking for a very calm and beautiful dog, then Autumn is truly one to seriously consider for your lifestyle and family.  This girl is a Husky mix with the wonderful attributes of both Husky and a Lab it seems.  She is a young 2-3 year old  girl that is only 50 pounds and full of sweetness and an easy going personality.  This girl is in a small town, small shelter that has kennels that are 4X6” if that big.  She should be out of an environment like that, enjoying the freedom to roam a backyard or dog park and to be someone’s serious sidekick full of love and adoration for their owner.  This girl is a true treasure.  Can you consider helping at least get her out of the shelter?  If you want to foster to adopt then Critter Cavalry Rescue can support that as well.  We will have her fully vetted and ready for a new start in a foster or a forever home.  Friendly with all other dogs and adoring of people, this girl is not shy nor emotionally damaged.  Just abandoned sadly and found as a stray.  She doesn’t deserve to stay for months on end at this shelter.  Help Autumn get out of a shelter hell.  Contact Critter Cavalry Rescue at ccrtennessee@gmail.com  and please mention where you live when inquiring. PLEASE NOTE:   Our dogs and cats are fostered in Tennessee and can transport weekly up to the Northeast region.  Request an application and learn more about Critter Cavalry at https://www.crittercavalry.com/adoption.May 8, 2024, 3:35 pm
