Story
Fen has spent far too many days watching the world from the end of a chain. When his owner moved away, this 6-year-old Lab/Husky mix was left behind on a lonely tie-out at an empty house, cared for only by kind neighbors who refused to let him be forgotten. They shared that Fen once lived indoors, but as his owner’s health declined, Fen’s life slowly shrank to neglect and isolation. Despite it all, Fen’s heart remains wide open.   This sweet boy is full of gentle enthusiasm and gratitude for every bit of attention. The moment he’s free to stretch his legs, Fen lights up — he loves to run, play, and feel the joy of simply being a dog again. He already knows how to sit, walks well on a leash, and shows just how smart and willing he is to listen and learn. Fen wants so badly to connect with people; he leans in for affection like he’s been saving up years of love to give.   Because he’s been forced to live outside for so long, he may need a little patience while relearning house manners and routine — but he’s had a home before, and he’s eager to understand again. Fen is currently underweight, a visible reminder of how he’s been failed, but also a hopeful sign of how much better his future can be with someone who truly cares.   Fen isn’t broken. He’s loving, loyal, and ready to bloom in the hands of a family who will never leave him behind again. All he needs now is a warm place to land, steady meals, and the promise that he’ll always belong.   ADOPTION FEE REQUIRED. Contact ccrtennessee@gmail.com.January 20, 2026, 3:41 pm

Story
Introducing Wheeler – the boy who steals hearts everywhere he goes! This 1 year old, 40-pound German Shepherd/Husky mix is as smart as he is handsome. Wheeler has already mastered sit and shake with both paws and became fully housebroken in just one week with his foster family. He’s crate trained, learning to walk well on a leash, and eager to soak up everything that’s taught to him.  This boy with the amazing smile and wonderful ears knows how to steal hearts.  Wheeler is a social butterfly who loves everyone—kids, adults, dogs, and even cats. In fact, he’s convinced the cats in his foster home need constant “baths,” which he happily provides with endless affection. He also enjoys curling up in a lap, whether it belongs to a person or another pup. This sweet boy needs company in his life.   Another companion dog would make him happy and feel secure along with a family that has someone home alot. This all is due to the hard past that started when Wheeler was a puppy. He and his brother were abandoned, and he was found underweight and limping from what turned out to be an old hip injury—likely caused by a car or a blow to his leg.  It was fractured but never set to heal correctly by a vet.  It healed on its own and doesnt bother him, but he’ll always have a slight limp.  Dont feel sorry about that because it doesn’t slow him down one bit. He runs and plays like nothing ever happened, a joyful reminder of his resilient spirit. He needs a fenced yard so he can get all his energy out daily. What makes this particular boy so special isn’t just his good looks or intelligence—it’s his kind heart. He’s grateful for every bit of love and safety he’s found in rescue, and he’s ready to give that love right back to the family lucky enough to call him their own.  If Wheeler sounds like the perfect match for your family, please email ccrtennessee@gmail.com. This incredible boy is waiting to meet his forever people, and we know you’ll be smitten from the very first hello. &#226&#157&#164&#239&#184&#143     ADOPTION FEE REQUIRED. Story
Meet Cubby – Your Adventure Buddy and Best Friend! Breed: Husky Mix | Age: 2.5 years | Weight: 50 lbs   Cubby is a stunning Husky mix with soulful eyes and a heart of gold. After being rescued from an overcrowded backyard situation, this sweet boy has blossomed in foster care and is now ready to find his forever family.       Cubby has discovered the joys of life—walks, playtime, snuggles, and, most of all, people! He’s affectionate, smart, and always seems to be trying to understand everything around him with those expressive eyes. He’s especially great with children and loves being part of a family.       An energetic and athletic pup, Cubby thrives on adventure. He loves long walks, hiking, backpacking, playing fetch, running beside a bike, and splashing in the water. If you lead an active lifestyle, Cubby might just be your perfect match. And when the day is done? He’s happy to chill on his dog bed, content just being near his people.       Cubby currently lives with two other dogs and absolutely loves playing with them. Story
Meet Newt, a remarkable young Husky born in March 2024, whose resilience and zest for life inspire everyone who meets her. She came into the world with advanced cataracts, leaving her with limited vision. Thanks to a successful eye surgery provided by SOAR Rescue, Newt now has partial sight, and she's eagerly experiencing the world in a whole new way. Though still visually impaired, this spirited girl is unstoppable! Newt is as affectionate as she is brave. She's gentle, and loves the company of both humans and other dogs, making her an ideal companion for a household with another pet to help guide her and keep her company. Newt's ongoing health needs mean she'll thrive with a family committed to proactive veterinary care, including regular check-ins with a veterinary ophthalmologist to maintain her vision and a strong, consistent relationship with a trusted vet to keep her health on track. Despite her unique challenges, Newt is full of curiosity, playfulness, and love. She's looking for a forever home that will embrace her needs, celebrate her spirit, and offer the support she needs to flourish. If you're ready to open your heart to a truly special dog, Newt may just be the perfect match for you.
