Story
Tucker was born February 17, 2019. He is a gift from a friend that breeds his two purebred huskies. Tucker is the sweetest boy, but does need some extra attention and training. He LOVES going on walks, and is VERY strong (willed and physically). My job forces me travel fairly constantly so we’re trying to find Tucker a home where someone has time to work on training, exercise and throw balls and walk him regularly. He has the most fun personality (that husky talk!) and loves cozying up near his people. Adjectives we’d use for Tucker would be: independent, good with kids, sweet, and goofy.

Story
We are looking for a new family for our sweet boy, Tucker. He truly is the sweetest, most gentle dog that I’ve ever been around, but he’s also the highest energy and most stubborn. He is trainable—I’ve had small victories with him over the years—he knows sit, stay and down really well! However, he needs clear, physical boundaries (a fence) and LOTS of exercise—two things we aren’t able to provide any longer. (We’ve learned that invisible fences don’t do much for huskies either.) He is STRONG and as of now, he’s fairly difficult to walk on a leash. If you have an area to run and play fetch, that’s a great energy killer for him! He has always been good around kids and other dogs. He’s been so gentle and curious about our baby since we brought her home. As sweet as he is, huskies tend to be a restricted breed for rental companies. So please keep that in mind if you rent or will in the future. We want Tucker to be with a forever family and not bounce around or end up in a shelter.

Story
Ari is truly a sweet girl. She loves to chase the birds in the backyard and run along the fence with the dogs on the other side. She gets along well with my Goldendoodle! She loves to play tug-of-war. Ari has lots of energy and is 4 years old. I am in the process of having to move, and cannot find a home that will allow her breed and/or size. She weighs 58 lbs and is regularly groomed and well kept. She goes to Banfield pet hospital for all of her vet needs and is all up-to-date with everything. She is not microchipped at the moment. I truly hate having to rehome her, but in needing to do so, I hope to find her a home that she will thrive and be well cared for.

Story
Luna is a 2.5 year old husky mix in miniature form (she is only about 40 lbs). She is extremely smart and active. She needs physical and mental exercise. She loves chasing balls and would make an amazing running partner! Luna would do well with agility work and East CAN will sponsor her enrollment in an agility learning course. Luna had a rough start in life…she needs a special adopter who has the right environment and is committed to continued training. Her adopter should have experience with huskies or other working dogs. She is not for a first time dog owner. Luna’s perfect home would be one with adults only and routine. Adults who work from home frequently and enjoy regular exercise would be ideal. Luna is affectionate with those she knows and loves attention and quiet nights in. Luna is not overly social with strangers, and would not do well in a home with lots of different people coming and going. Luna needs a fenced in yard, ideally outside of the city where there is room to explore and go on long walks with just her humans. Luna is currently **leash reactive to other dogs** so she cannot live in an apartment. Luna has been working with our trainer for many months and has made huge progress, but will need someone committed to continuing her training. She is highly responsive to positive reinforcement and she is well-trained in "place" and really enjoys mat work. Luna is a special girl and we adore her. We know the right home is out there for her! Fast facts: > Luna is house, crate, and leash trained > Luna is 2.5 yrs old > Luna likely would not thrive in a home with cats or kids under 12 > Luna is fixed, vaccinated, and in excellent health > Luna is about 40lbs

Story
Hi, my name is Odin and I'm looking for my forever best friend! I've had kind of a rough start and it takes me a little bit of time (and hotdogs) before I know you are my people. You see, I used to have a family but they moved away during the hot Texas summer, and left me outside all by myself. All of the neighbors fed me all kinds of yummy things and I even trusted one enough to take the heavy chain off of my neck. (what a relief!) I wasn't sure about the rescue people down the street, and it took me a couple of weeks to let them approach me, but during a heat wave I finally let my foster dad put a leash on me and take me home! Now he's my bestest friend. I was in rough shape with a bum eye that hurt me and heartworms and it took me a couple of weeks before I would let foster mom and dad pet me without grumbling at them(of course, I am a TALKING HUSKY!!). I didn't want them to grab me, push me, put me in a crate, or touch me too much. Now my walls are down and my favorite things to do are snuggle up, get scritches, sit on my foster mom's lap, and just be by my people. I'm very loyal and I'm always lying by their feet no matter where they are. They taught me to go in the crate and in the car by myself because I'm very eager to learn how to do things and please you so that you don't have to force me to do anything! At the vet I wear a muzzle for everybody's safety and I let my foster mom and dad put it right on my head. I have lots of dogs in my foster home and I get along with all of them. I'm still learning that there's enough love and food to go around though, and I sometimes resource guard things like toys, treats, and the dog food bin. I'm fine with most of the dogs, but I watch out for the other big male in my foster house. My foster parents can easily redirect my attention with a verbal reprimand, a spray bottle, or a tap on the rear. I also love to jump up and rough house and might knock little kids over because I want to play with them. My ideal best friend knows a lot about dogs and is patient and has lots of hotdogs. It might take me a couple of weeks, but I promise to be your loyalist bestest friend ever. If you have a dog who is patient and good with other dogs I would love that too and maybe we could also be best friends, I want to play but my foster siblings don't know how. Odin is a wonderful dog who needs a little patience before he lets his true temperament shine. He is extremely loyal but would thrive in a home with experienced dog owners as he doesn't like to be grabbed, lifted, or pushed, and responds best to positive and upbeat energy. He's eager to please and with a little patience has learned to go into the crate (where he does an excellent job being quiet and settling down) and into the car. He does get carsick and throws up on almost every ride. He has a lot of energy and would love an active family to take him hiking, walking, or jogging. Odin is a good weight at 75 pounds, is finishing up hw treatment, and is about 2 years old. If you bring the patience, respect, and hotdogs, Odin will bring the unwavering love and loyalty! Local adoption fee $200 (in TX) Out of state adoption fee is $400 (includes transport to your area)
