Story
Kimmy is an approximately 7-year-old Siberian Husky with a calm, affectionate personality and very low energy for the breed. She is incredibly people-oriented and loves spending time close to her humans, earning her the title of “velcro dog” in her foster home. Kimmy came to Redstone after being found as a stray and left for safekeeping with one of our veterinary partners. At the time, she was heartworm positive and needed routine veterinary care, including being spayed and updated on vaccines. She has since completed heartworm treatment and is now healthy and heartworm negative. Kimmy enjoys a relaxed lifestyle and is not a high-energy husky. Her favorite activities include lounging in the sun, enjoying snacks, and following her people around the house. She appears to be house trained and is crate trained as well. She has done well with calm, lower-energy male dogs and would likely do well with children. Her compatibility with cats is currently unknown. Kimmy would thrive in a quieter home looking for a loyal companion rather than an intense adventure dog. She could do well as an only dog or with a calm canine companion. As a senior dog, Kimmy may require additional age-related care sooner than a younger dog, but she has so much love and companionship to offer in return. ##2310239##

Story
Cleo is an 18-month-old Siberian Husky with a sweet personality and a wonderfully balanced energy level. She has the classic independent husky spirit, but she’s also affectionate, social, and loves spending time with other dogs. Cleo was rescued from a small rural shelter after being surrendered alongside her sister. After rescue, the girls were separated due to littermate syndrome, and Cleo has truly thrived while gaining confidence and independence. She would make an excellent companion for someone looking for a dog that enjoys adventure and activity but can also relax and settle at home afterward. We often describe her as a “weekend warrior” type — ready for fun when you are without being overly demanding. Cleo is dog friendly and does well with children. She would likely do best in a home without cats or small animals due to her husky instincts. While she would love another playful dog in the home, she could also do well with an active family committed to giving her attention and enrichment. She has no known medical concerns and is ready to find her forever family. Cleo is spayed, heartworm negative and on prevention, dewormed, vaccinated with core vaccines, and microchipped.  ##2486789##

Story
Nelson is a 2–3-year-old Siberian Husky with a social, outgoing personality and an adventurous spirit. He is playful, affectionate, and loves both people and other dogs. Nelson spent a long time in a shelter environment before entering rescue, and the prolonged confinement began causing kennel-related stress behaviors. Since leaving the shelter, he has done much better with increased activity, enrichment, and social interaction. He has moderate energy for the breed but is still significantly more active than the average dog. Nelson would thrive in a home that enjoys outdoor activities and wants a dog to actively participate in daily life, including hiking, camping, walking, or other adventures. Nelson is crate trained and knows some basic commands, though he will benefit from continued reinforcement and structure in his adoptive home. He is dog social and enjoys playing with other dogs, though his play style can be rough and rowdy at times. He does well with children and other dogs. Compatibility with cats or small animals is currently unknown. Nelson does experience separation anxiety and is currently on medication while we work to determine the best long-term management plan. Because of this, he would do best in a home where he will not regularly be left alone for extended periods. Nelson is looking for an adopter who understands the needs of active, intelligent dogs and is excited to include him as a true member of the family. Nelson is neutered, microchipped, vaccinated, dewormed, on heartworm prevention, and ready for a new home!  ##2381743##

Story
Charlie is an 18-month-old Siberian Husky with a bubbly, outgoing personality and a love for people. He’s a happy-go-lucky dog who enjoys attention, outdoor activities, and spending time with his humans. Charlie came into rescue as an emaciated stray and required extensive medical treatment, including heartworm treatment and bilateral knee surgeries for cruciate ligament tears in both legs. Despite everything he has been through, he has remained incredibly sweet, social, and resilient. He has a higher energy level but is able to settle well after exercise and enrichment. Charlie is crate trained and would benefit from continued obedience training and structure in his adoptive home. Charlie has done well with female dogs in the past but does not do well with male dogs. Any resident dogs would require a meet and greet prior to adoption. Due to his rambunctious nature, he would likely do best with older children (approximately 14+). Because of his previous knee injuries and surgeries, Charlie will need lifelong glucosamine supplementation and may require arthritis or pain management earlier in life than some dogs. Charlie is looking for an active, loving home that will continue helping him thrive after such a difficult start to life.  Please no cats or small animals.  Charlie is neutered, up to date on core vaccines, microchipped, dewormed, on heartworm prevention (and has undergone treatment) and is ready for his new home!  Petfinder: If you are interested in adopting Charlie, please visit our webiite for more details. Story
She’s a free spirited ranch husky with a strong prey drive and an independent personality. Spayed, social, and great with other dogs and people, she thrives having space to roam and explore. She’s protective of her territory and definitely not small animal friendly cats, rabbits, raccoons, possums, gophers, rats, chickens, and roosters are all considered “fair game” in her eyes. She has that classic husky intelligence and adventurous nature, mixed with a fearless ranch dog attitude.

Story
Meet Ralph! Just look at those soulful eyes—he’s saying, “Please, adopt me… I’m ready for my very own family!”Ralph came to us in June 2022 after being found with his sister, Lauren (who has since been adopted). He lives with a girlfriend and has so much love to give. Ralph adores people, gets along well with other dogs, and would make a wonderful family companion. He is probably a Husky or Shepherd mix with some Retriever in there ! This handsome guy is about 4 years old, weighs around 65 lbs, and walks nicely on a leash. He’s eager to meet you and even more eager to go home! He does well in the car and is very calm. We’re located just a short drive from Dallas and surrounding cities—come meet Ralph and see if he’s the perfect fit for your family.👉 If you’d like to adopt Ralph, please complete our pre-qualification application here: https://bit.ly/2CCVFPVIf you do not see a reply within 24 hours check your spam or text Karen at 214-535-5230. Story
Mordecai is a 4-year-old Alaskan Malamute with a fun, energetic, and goofy personality. He is extremely people-oriented and loves outdoor activities, playtime, and spending time with his humans. Mordecai came into rescue after surviving as a stray, where he suffered multiple dog attack wounds and severe mange. He required extensive medical care for infected wounds and skin treatment before making a full recovery. Mordecai is crate trained and has basic obedience skills, but he requires an experienced, breed-savvy adopter who is comfortable handling large, strong working breeds. He thrives with structure, consistency, and active engagement. Mordecai must be the only pet in the home. He is dog aggressive and has a high prey drive, making him unsafe for homes with cats or small animals. Due to his size and rambunctious energy level, he is also not a suitable match for homes with children. He has a unique malocclusion where his lower jaw is shorter than his upper jaw, which often causes his tongue to stick out. Because of this, he can be messy when drinking water and tends to eat too quickly, so he requires a slow feeder. Mordecai is looking for an active, patient adopter who understands his management needs and is committed to giving him the structure and environment he needs to thrive as a beloved companion. Petfinder: If you are interested in adopting Mordecai, please visit RedstoneHuskyRescue.org/adopt for his adoption profile and application.  ##1872709##
