Story
Hi there, my name is Cherokee! I am a 3-year-old female Husky mix that weighs approx. 45lbs. My sister, Dakota, and I were surrendered to Rockwall Adoption Center when my previous family could no longer care for me. True to my Husky nature, I am full of energy and do not enjoy being left alone for long periods of time. I would do best in a home with plenty of mental stimulation and physical exercise! My adoption fee is $125, I am already spayed, Rabies vaccinated, and DHLPP vaccinated. If you think we might be the perfect match, please submit an adoption application at https://rockwalladoptions.com/adoptfoster/adoption-application/ . I can't wait to see all the fun we could have together!  All animals, unless otherwise noted in their description, are at 1825 Airport Rd. in Rockwall, TX. Hours of operation are Monday-Friday 9 am to 6 pm and Saturdays 9 am to 5 pm. For questions, please call 972-771-7750 ext. 2 or email info@RockwallAdoptions.com. IMPORTANT NOTICE: All shelter animals are required by Texas state law to be spayed/neutered. RAC completes this procedure at the age of 12 weeks. If you are adopting a pet under the age of 12 weeks or an animal that has not yet been spayed or neutered, you will be required to return the pet to our facility on the agreed upon date set at the time of adoption. This policy is non-negotiable and violation of this health code is a criminal offense. January 19, 2026, 12:41 pm

Story
Meet Penny &#194&#150 A Sweet, Gentle Girl with a Calm Personality Hi there! My name is Penny, and I'm a 1-year-old Shepherd/Husky mix weighing around 33 lbs. I came to Rockwall Adoption Center when my previous family had too many animals to care for, and now I'm looking for a loving home where I can continue to build confidence and settle into family life. I'm a very sweet, gentle girl who does well with other dogs and enjoys their company. With people, I'm calm and polite. You can walk right up to me and pet me, and I'll happily accept it&#194&#151I just don't jump up or get overly excited about attention. I'm more of a quiet, easygoing type who shows affection in soft, subtle ways rather than big, bouncy ones. I am 100% crate trained and find comfort in having my own cozy space. I'm still learning how to walk confidently on a leash and could use help building overall confidence, but I'm eager to learn and will do best with a family who offers encouragement and consistency. My adoption fee is $125. I am spayed, microchipped, current on my rabies and core vaccines, and heartworm negative. If you're looking for a gentle, well-mannered companion who will quietly become a loyal part of your life, Penny could be the perfect match. Apply to meet Penny here: https://rockwalladoptions.com/adoptfoster/adoption-application/ Once approved, RAC staff will reach out to coordinate a meet and greet. This sweet girl is ready for her forever home. Story
Meet Squishy &#194&#150 A Playful, Confident Girl with a Big Heart Hi there! My name is Squishy, and I'm a 3-year-old Husky/Pit mix weighing around 51 lbs. I came to Rockwall Adoption Center when my previous family had too many animals to care for, and now I'm excited for a fresh start and a forever home where I can truly shine. I'm a friendly, affectionate girl who loves people and has done well with children. With other dogs, I enjoy making friends and joining in on the fun. I do have a confident, sometimes dominant play style, so I do best with canine companions who are comfortable with that energy and enjoy active, balanced play. A meet and greet is always recommended to make sure everyone's play styles and personalities are a good match. I haven't met cats yet, so that would be a brand-new experience for me, but I'm always willing to learn with proper introductions. I'm spayed, microchipped, up to date on my rabies and core vaccinations, heartworm negative, and my adoption fee is $125. If you're looking for a sweet, playful, people-loving girl with a confident personality and lots of love to give, Squishy might just be your perfect match. Apply to meet me here: https://rockwalladoptions.com/adoptfoster/adoption-application/ Once approved, RAC staff will reach out to coordinate a meet and greet. Could you be the one to give Squishy her happily ever after?  All animals, unless otherwise noted in their description, are at 1825 Airport Rd. in Rockwall, TX. Story
Cherokee came from an area neighborhood known for loose dogs and way too many pregnant ones. Her Mom was mostly Black Lab, father unknown. We had to trap her to save her life. She is full grown now and is between 40 to 50 lbs. It has been a long road of socialization but Cherokee wants to please and is so anxious to be loved. She now walks on a leash and is now ready for the next stage in her life- a permanent and loving home. We had some 6th graders visit and she loved their attention. She has her wings now and is ready to fly off to a new adventure. Giving her a home will be the most awesome experience. From feral to family friendly....that is a great success story already and you can help write her next chapter. If you would like to adopt this sweet furbaby, please complete our pre-qualification application at this link: https://bit.ly/2CCVFPV#AdoptDontShop #TBCAnimalRescue

Meet Ralph! Just look at those soulful eyes—he’s saying, “Please, adopt me… I’m ready for my very own family!”Ralph came to us in June 2022 after being found with his sister, Lauren (who has since been adopted). He misses her but has so much love to give. Ralph adores people, gets along well with other dogs, and would make a wonderful family companion. He is probably a Husky or Shepherd mix with some Retriever in there ! This handsome guy is about 3 ½ years old, weighs around 65 lbs, and walks nicely on a leash. He’s eager to meet you and even more eager to go home! He does well in the car and is very calm. We’re located just a short drive from Dallas and surrounding cities—come meet Ralph and see if he’s the perfect fit for your family.👉 If you’d like to adopt Ralph, please complete our pre-qualification application here: https://bit.ly/2CCVFPVIf you do not see a reply within 24 hours check your spam or text Karen at 214-535-5230.
