Meet Astra: A Loyal Heart Waiting for Her Forever Home Every once in a while, a dog comes along who makes you believe in second chances. Astra is one of those dogs. Housebroken, crate trained, spayed, microchipped and up to date on vaccines    At almost 7 years old, Astra has lived enough life to know what really matters: love, connection, and someone to throw the ball... again and again. This stunning German Shepherd/Husky mix is great with people but will need to be the only dog in the home.  Astra carries the grace of her breeds and the warmth of a heart that just wants to belong. Weighing in at 75 lbs, she's big enough to wrap her paws around you — and gentle enough to win over your heart without even trying. Astra is housebroken, not destructive and  rides great in the car.  She knows all the basics: “sit,” “stay,” “paw,” “down,” and “come.” But beyond her obedience is her spirit — a joyful, playful soul who lights up when a ball is in sight. Her favorite game? Fetch!  Tennis ball are the joy of her life!  She adores people, really good with kids and did great when cat tested with a dog savvy cat.   Astras favorite activities are going on walks, playing fetch in the yard, belly rubs and curling up after a long day.  If you’re looking for a loyal gal who will love you with her whole heart, Astra is your match.   ##2200984##

Story
Meet Whitman Age: Approximately 15 months   Breed: Shepherd mix (possibly Husky)   Size: Large If you're looking for a dog who wants to be your loyal sidekick through every part of life, Whitman may be your perfect match. Whitman has an incredible story of resilience. When he first came to Belle's Buds Rescue, he had been abandoned and was so underweight that his ribs and bones were visible. With the love of his foster family, good nutrition, and time to heal, he has blossomed into one of the happiest dogs you'll ever meet. His foster mom describes him as incredibly smart—one of the smartest dogs she's ever fostered. He learns quickly, loves to stay engaged, and is always paying attention to what his people are doing. He's happiest when he's included, whether that's exploring the backyard, going for a walk, running errands, or simply relaxing on the couch after a fun day together. Whitman is a true "Velcro dog." Once he bonds with you, he'll happily follow you from room to room just to be near his favorite person. He has a gentle, affectionate personality and always seems to have a smile on his face and a wagging tail. One of his cutest quirks is his love for toys. He carefully collects every toy he can find and proudly stores them in his crate like his own little treasure collection. Whitman is dog friendly and does well with cats that are accustomed to dogs. He would thrive in a home with another playful canine companion or an active family who will include him in their daily adventures. At the end of the day, though, his favorite place is right beside the people he loves. Believed to be a Shepherd/Husky mix, Whitman has a shorter, easy-care coat than many dogs of those breeds. His striking all-white coat, paired with one brilliant blue eye and one warm brown eye, makes him as beautiful on the outside as he is on the inside. After everything he's overcome, Whitman is ready for the chapter he's been waiting for all along—a forever family to love him for the rest of his life. Whitman is currently fostered in Texas. Transport is available for approved adopters. ##2577729##

Story
Oldag's name came from my grandmother's side. He loves to talk about his day and can get loud too when he wants all the attention. He can be a little dominant around other male dogs. He is long haired and has more Husky than Boxer with a long husky tail. He was born in April of 2017. He can be a big teddy bear who just stands and talks to you. He is a good watch dog and loves scratches in all the usual places especially his chest and backside.

Story
Harley is a talkative husky. She likes to lick your face a lot when given the chance. She loves car rides in the passenger seat. Before we received her, she was an inside dog but with us she is an outside dog for a few years. She was born with a short bob tail. She loves to explore when we took her on walks. She is an escape artist when she doesn't want to stay in the back yard pen.Note: Please disregard if the second breed says Saluki I didn't mean to click on a second breed.

Spayed or Neutered,
Story
Tripp is a handsome Husky with a gentle heart, a sweet personality, and a serious appreciation for a good petting session. This smart boy already knows how to sit on command and takes treats gently from your hand. He`s very food motivated and loves showing off for snacks. If you make him wait too long, he`ll break into a goofy little dance and bounce around excitedly while trying his best to be patient. He knows `lay down` too, although lately his enthusiasm for treats has turned it into more of a playful crouch than a full down.Tripp isn`t much for toys or roughhousing. His favorite activity is simply relaxing. He’s happy to do his own thing, but he also loves affection and will happily sit calmly by your side for as long as you`re willing to pet him. He`s also done well meeting other dogs in shelter playgroups. Tripp is more of a chill companion than a playmate - he prefers relaxing and peacefully coexisting with other dogs rather than engaging in rowdy games. With his calm nature, lower energy level, and loving personality, Tripp would make a wonderful companion for someone looking for a sweet, loyal best friend.

Spayed or Neutered,
Story
Stu is a 3YO Husky who proves that sometimes the camera just doesn’t do justice. He’s absolutely stunning in person…but he’s not photogenic. He’s one of those dogs you really have to meet to appreciate just how handsome he is.He’s a playful, independent guy who’s great on a leash and happy to take his time sniffing and exploring the world around him. He’s perfectly happy to entertain himself, but he’ll also happily stay by your side for as long as you’ll pet him. He’s not concerned much with toys or treats, and is more than capable of making his own fun. With is medium to high energy level he enjoys getting his zoomies out, and he`s done well around children.Stu is a gorgeous, independent boy with a playful streak and a personality you really have to come and experience for yourself. Come meet him and see what you’ve been missing!
