We step up. Again.Because when people fail them… we refuse to look away. This poor, sweet boy was found on a country road in Brookshire—nothing but skin, bones, and a will to survive. He is heartbreakingly thin, every rib and hip bone visible… yet still gentle, still hopeful, still trying. Thanks to Steven and Donna, he was safely off the streets these last couple of days. And tonight, thanks to an amazing foster who said YES, he is safe with us. He will see our vet tomorrow to begin the long road back to health. He deserves a chance. HUSKERS This handsome, happy go lucky husky mix is still searching for his chance at FUR-ever with someone! While we do a lot of family hunting dog training, we also assist rescue organizations with training, evaluation and preparation for adoption! His laid back and social demeanor make him a pleasure to be around, and he is ready for a family to call his own. He is great with dogs, kids and people of all ages and sizes. Food motivated and a pleaser, he is constantly willing to learn and has enough play to be an active companion and enough couch potato to live a companion dog life. We can’t say enough good things about this guy and pray that for Christmas this year we can get him into a home of his own! If interested in learning more about him, please reach out! Story
This is Luna. My husband and I adopted her August 2024, from SPCA. She didn't have much information available other than that her previous owners dumped her and refused to get her back when someone brought her in. She has had beginner training classes and from there we learned a couple things. We learned that there was a high probability that her previous owners used a shock collar, had children and most likely let the children hit/hurt her, is VERY food motivated and SUPER smart. She does not like cats. The reason why we are trying to rehome her is because I recently gave birth, and because of the possible history with children, she has not been very happy with the new addition to the family. I want her to go to a home with no SMALL children or cats. She loves short walks, so a high energy home is not necessary. She is very cuddly and loves to watch TV as long as someone sits with her. She will be your little shadow, she loves to follow us around. She is kennel trained too.
