We step up. Again.Because when people fail them… we refuse to look away. This poor, sweet boy was found on a country road in Brookshire—nothing but skin, bones, and a will to survive. He is heartbreakingly thin, every rib and hip bone visible… yet still gentle, still hopeful, still trying. Thanks to Steven and Donna, he was safely off the streets these last couple of days. And tonight, thanks to an amazing foster who said YES, he is safe with us. He will see our vet tomorrow to begin the long road back to health. He deserves a chance. HUSKERS This handsome, happy go lucky husky mix is still searching for his chance at FUR-ever with someone! While we do a lot of family hunting dog training, we also assist rescue organizations with training, evaluation and preparation for adoption! His laid back and social demeanor make him a pleasure to be around, and he is ready for a family to call his own. He is great with dogs, kids and people of all ages and sizes. Food motivated and a pleaser, he is constantly willing to learn and has enough play to be an active companion and enough couch potato to live a companion dog life. We can’t say enough good things about this guy and pray that for Christmas this year we can get him into a home of his own! If interested in learning more about him, please reach out! We need a happy and loving home for Michael. Michael is an inside dog he sleeps in his couch in the living room. He stands by the door when he needs to go out. He knows he is not allowed to go in the Bedrooms nor on the couches. He’s a very obedient dog. He response to whatever you tell him to do so go to your bed, sit or give me your hand. and he’s a very loving dog.

Story
Bella came from a relative that was not properly taking care of her and unable to due to having too many dogs in the household. I decided to take her in to help the relative. Bella is a sweet girl, she knows some commands of sit and come. Bella previous owners kept her in a cage most of the day and she was not properly potty trained nor walked outside with a leash. I have been walking her outside daily for 2-3 times a day and she has been more comfortable. She does get jumpy when cars pass by or loud noises/cars, but she is getting better. I also noticed that she seem off with tall men or big men. She tends to crouch down or hide when men try to pet her. She loves to talk/ bark back. She is a loving dog and needs more attention. Unfortunately I am unable to keep her as I am a mom of 3 children and i already have one small dog that does take up most of my time as well. I am renting and I am unable to afford the rental fee for her and I need to find her a good family and home ASAP.
