We step up. Again.Because when people fail them… we refuse to look away. This poor, sweet boy was found on a country road in Brookshire—nothing but skin, bones, and a will to survive. He is heartbreakingly thin, every rib and hip bone visible… yet still gentle, still hopeful, still trying. Thanks to Steven and Donna, he was safely off the streets these last couple of days. And tonight, thanks to an amazing foster who said YES, he is safe with us. He will see our vet tomorrow to begin the long road back to health. He deserves a chance. HUSKERS This handsome, happy go lucky husky mix is still searching for his chance at FUR-ever with someone! While we do a lot of family hunting dog training, we also assist rescue organizations with training, evaluation and preparation for adoption! His laid back and social demeanor make him a pleasure to be around, and he is ready for a family to call his own. He is great with dogs, kids and people of all ages and sizes. Food motivated and a pleaser, he is constantly willing to learn and has enough play to be an active companion and enough couch potato to live a companion dog life. We can’t say enough good things about this guy and pray that for Christmas this year we can get him into a home of his own! If interested in learning more about him, please reach out! Bowie walked into the store where my niece worked about 3 months ago. I got him fixed and his 1st round of shots while we looked for a home. He is super sweet, but needs to be somewhere were he can run around. He is a master escape artist and will break out of the back yard, kennel, rooms. Loves car rides and taking walks.

Taz has grown into a mature, easygoing guy who still has just the right amount of playful spirit. Once known for his nonstop zoomies, this handsome boy has mellowed out over time. Don’t worry! he’s still got his goofy side and loves to show it off when the mood strikes!He’s easy to leash up (even if he can’t help a few happy hops of excitement), and he walks nicely with just a bit of pulling. In the play yard, Taz is content to explore on his own, sniffing around and taking in all the sights and smells. He enjoys toys - the squeaky ones in particular grab his attention - and he’ll focus on them really well, even if he doesn`t always want to play with them. Taz isn’t overly focused on treats, but he’s a big fan of gentle pets and calm affection. He’ll lean into you and loves the one-on-one attention. Getting dressed up? No problem - he’ll stand perfectly still and let you fuss with a bow tie like the good boy he is.After a year of waiting, Taz has really grown into himself. He’s still got that spark of fun that makes him so lovable, but he’s also learned how to slow down and enjoy the moment.
