Meet Astra: A Loyal Heart Waiting for Her Forever Home Every once in a while, a dog comes along who makes you believe in second chances. Astra is one of those dogs. Housebroken, crate trained, spayed, microchipped and up to date on vaccines    At almost 7 years old, Astra has lived enough life to know what really matters: love, connection, and someone to throw the ball... again and again. This stunning German Shepherd/Husky mix is great with people but will need to be the only dog in the home.  Astra carries the grace of her breeds and the warmth of a heart that just wants to belong. Weighing in at 75 lbs, she's big enough to wrap her paws around you — and gentle enough to win over your heart without even trying. Astra is everything you could hope for in a companion. She knows all the basics: “sit,” “stay,” “paw,” “down,” and “come.” But beyond her obedience is her spirit — a joyful, playful soul who lights up when a ball is in sight. Her favorite game? Fetch!  Tennis valls are the joy of her life   She adores people, good with kids and has been cat-tested.  Astra was politely indifferent with cats, which in our book, is a win. Astra thrives when she’s part of the action, not just a dog in the background. Whether it's a walk in the park, playtime in the yard, belly rubs or curling up after a long day.  If you’re looking for a loyal, loving companion who will love you with her whole heart, Astra is your match.   ##2200984##

Story
We step up. Again.Because when people fail them… we refuse to look away. This poor, sweet boy was found on a country road in Brookshire—nothing but skin, bones, and a will to survive. He is heartbreakingly thin, every rib and hip bone visible… yet still gentle, still hopeful, still trying. Thanks to Steven and Donna, he was safely off the streets these last couple of days. And tonight, thanks to an amazing foster who said YES, he is safe with us. He will see our vet tomorrow to begin the long road back to health. He deserves a chance. He deserves a full belly, a warm bed, and people who won’t fail him ever again. Belle’s Buds Rescue steps in where others don’t—but we can’t do it without YOU. If you’d like to help this boy’s care, donate toward his vetting, food, and recovery: BellesBudsRescue.org PayPal: paypal.me/bellesbudsrescue Venmo: https://www.venmo.com/u/BellesBudsRescue Apply to foster or adopt: http://bit.ly/BellesBudsApp Thank you for being the village that makes rescues like this possible. Story
Jax is a 3.5-year-old happy, energetic boy looking for the right home where he can thrive and get the attention and activity he deserves. We’ve had him since he was young, and this decision has not been easy for our family. He has grown up with older kids and does great with them. He also lives with both a large and small dog and gets along well with dogs he knows, though he can be unsure around unfamiliar dogs and new situations. We’ve noticed he becomes uneasy around toddlers/young children, which has created concerns now that we have a new baby in the home. Jax completed training through Houston’s Elite Dog Training and knows commands like place, sit, and shake. He is very smart and does well with structure and consistency. He is very active and would thrive with someone who can give him exercise, attention, and lots of love. He loves running, playing, and being outdoors.

Great dog with goofy personality. Doesn't escape like huskies are known to do. Loves to be around his people and not super independent like other huskies can be.

He has a brother as well. They are 4 years old. We got them from someone who had puppies and could not keep them. We have allergies and it has become very difficult to keep them inside and we have such a small yard.

Story
Tripp is a handsome husky with a gentle heart and a lot of appreciation for a good belly rub. He’s a total gentleman on leash, and once in the play yard he turns into an independent explorer. He’s happy to wander around and check things out, but he’s always super sweet and enjoys coming back for attention. He’s always happy to show off for a treat too! He’s very smart and already knows how to sit and lay on command – sometimes he’s so happy to show off he does a little happy dance while obeying. Treats definitely motivate him, and he takes them gently from your hand. Tripp isn’t much for toys, but he is a big fan of affection. Since he’s currently dealing with some (noncontagious) skin issues, you know what that means… extra belly rubs are wanted! He absolutely melts when you scratch his belly and give him some love. He`s also done well meeting other dogs in shelter playgroups, and gives off calm, relaxed vibes. With his medium energy level and sweet personality, Tripp would make a wonderful companion for someone looking for a super sweet best friend.

Story
Stu is a 3YO Husky who proves that sometimes the camera just doesn’t do justice. He’s absolutely stunning in person…but he’s not photogenic. He’s one of those dogs you really have to meet to appreciate just how handsome he is.He’s a playful, independent guy who’s great on a leash and happy to take his time sniffing and exploring the world around him. He’s perfectly happy to entertain himself, but he’ll also happily stay by your side for as long as you’ll pet him. He’s not concerned much with toys or treats, and is more than capable of making his own fun. With is medium to high energy level he enjoys getting his zoomies out. Stu is a gorgeous, independent boy with a playful streak and a personality you really have to come and experience for yourself. Come meet him and see what you’ve been missing!
