Story
Meet RUBY ++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ Ruby was found as a stray with no identification. She was very wary of finder and that trait has remained with her. But once she knows you mean her no harm she is your bestie! She is super affectionate, and loves to get in bed next to you for a bit to say 'Good morning'. Otherwise she will find a cool spot to nap or sleep at night. Ruby is a true gem! Ruby is in a home with large and small dogs. She loves them all and is very playful. It's her favorite thing to do. And play chase around the pool. She does seem to prefer male companions, even trying to get the older, grouchy boys to play with her. Ruby would thrive in a home with another balanced, playful male dog. We have no knowledge of how she is with cats, but she pays them no attention on walks. Overall Ruby is a quiet dog unless she gets super excited, like going on her walks and she will voice her approval. She walks really well, enjoying a lot of sniff time and does not react to seeing other dogs out walking. Ruby is reliably house trained and does her business on walks. She kennels really well and is so smart. She quickly learned how to use the dog door and sit/stay before eating, basically the house rules. She got out twice after going to foster but only stretched her legs (ran) and came right back. She loves chew toys, does not get into places she should not and is not destructive in any way. Ruby was underweight but had no health problems. She has been spayed and will be vaccinated when adopted. She is being fed half raw and half homemade, and has done really well on this diet. Her coat has become glossy and so soft. Ruby is not a large dog, weighing about 47 lbs. We think she is mixed with some type of shepherd as she has patches of brown fur and lovely light brown eyes. Ruby is with No One's Dog Rescue in Cypress, Texas. We are a registered 501(c)3 non-profit who take in street dogs, revitalize their health and find loving forever homes. If you are interested in meeting Ruby, please request and fill out our adoption form first. If you read this far, thank you for your interest in Ruby and especially in a rescue dog, the very best breed!

Story
Shine is a 5 year old, SPECIAL NEEDS husky mix. She is up-to-date on all her vaccinations, spayed and heartworm negative. Shine was born with intramural ectopic ureters, abnormalities in the tubular tissues that connect the kidneys to the bladder. The birth defect causes urinary incontinence, as her urine bypassed her bladder. Shine had laser surgery as a young puppy to open the ureters back to her bladder. The surgery corrected some of her urinary incontinence; however, she continues to have urinary leakage. Shine is crate trained and enjoys toys, bones, dipping her feet in the swimming pool and playing with other friendly dogs. She is on the small side for a husky, but that keeps her jumping a 6 foot fence (as huskies are known to do!). She also sheds - a furminator and/or doggie brush, and vacuum cleaner are necessities! Shine needs a family who is willing to take on this challenge and love her "as-is." If you think you are ready to adopt a special needs baby please put in an application at www.hhfrescue.org. If you have any questions, please contact us at hhfrescue@gmail.com.

Story
Hi! My name is Kylo and I'm a handsome husky! You know, the breed of dog that typically loves to run and just can't sit still for even a second. I do love to go for a nice walk around the block - after all, exercise is important if you want to be healthy. However, after my daily activity, I like to sit and relax, stare out the window and daydream. With me, you get the best of both worlds - the beauty of a husky plus the calmness of a cuddly lapdog. I get along with other doggies I see and I'll let out a "Woo-woo-woo! to let you know that I'm happy. I'm crate-trained (though I'd rather sleep in the open), house-trained and I'd be a perfect fit for your home...as long as you don't have cats! I'd love to meet you and your family!

Story
Hola, soy Mila- a playful, energetic, and sweet-natured dog who absolutely loves being around people. My favorite activities include playing with my favorite humans, running around the yard, and chewing on my peanut butter-filled Kong. Peanut butter is definitely my treat of choice! I'm always up for a long walk, playtime with other dogs, or cuddling after a fun-filled day. I am great with humans and dogs alike! I have an infectious enthusiasm that can light up any room, though I can get a little too excited around cats. I am constantly learning to keep my excitement in check when meeting new people and may jump up to greet them, but I am not big or heavy. While I sleep soundly in my crate at night, I am not a big fan of being confined during the day. Thankfully, a peanut butter-filled Kong helps keep me occupied while you're away. I am usually great at pottying outside but may still have an occasional accident, especially when transitioning to a new environment. Whether I'm making new friends or settling in for a nap, my heart is as big as my energy, always ready for my next adventure! P.S. I hope that next adventure involves you and peanut butter!
