Story
Hazel is very loyal. She is good with other dogs, how ever she does like to be the pack leader and will assert dominance quickly. She also does not like other dogs near her food or kennel. she is kennel trained and she is good with kids. she made friends with some kids in elementary school at my apartment complex where they would play fetch with her. she just feels the need to take lead and establish dominance or the "alpha" over other dogs. very smart dog very loyal and the kind of dog where you can leave the front door open and she isn't going to run out. she does like to talk.

Story
Meet Luna, a timid 40-pound soul with a love for exploration. This adult dog`s recent life outdoors has shaped her into an energetic, playful companion, eager to learn and experience new things once she is comfortable. Though not house trained or even leash trained, Luna`s curiosity and gentle nature make her an ideal candidate for someone willing to invest in her potential. She can be a bit shy and insecure, which means she needs a patient and understanding owner who can guide her with consistent training. She is nervous in new situations and seems uncomfortable being inside the shelter. Please meet with her outside to get to know her better and possibly see her relax a bit. While she can be a bit rough with other dogs, she`s wonderfully friendly with children, making her a great addition to any family. Adopt Luna, and embark on a rewarding journey of growth and discovery together. (tw 6/8/2026)

Story
Jax is a 3.5-year-old happy, energetic boy looking for the right home where he can thrive and get the attention and activity he deserves. We’ve had him since he was young, and this decision has not been easy for our family. He has grown up with older kids and does great with them. He also lives with both a large and small dog and gets along well with dogs he knows, though he can be unsure around unfamiliar dogs and new situations. We’ve noticed he becomes uneasy around toddlers/young children, which has created concerns now that we have a new baby in the home. Jax completed training through Houston’s Elite Dog Training and knows commands like place, sit, and shake. He is very smart and does well with structure and consistency. He is very active and would thrive with someone who can give him exercise, attention, and lots of love. He loves running, playing, and being outdoors.

Story
We step up. Again.Because when people fail them… we refuse to look away. This poor, sweet boy was found on a country road in Brookshire—nothing but skin, bones, and a will to survive. He is heartbreakingly thin, every rib and hip bone visible… yet still gentle, still hopeful, still trying. Thanks to Steven and Donna, he was safely off the streets these last couple of days. And tonight, thanks to an amazing foster who said YES, he is safe with us. He will see our vet tomorrow to begin the long road back to health. He deserves a chance. He deserves a full belly, a warm bed, and people who won’t fail him ever again. Belle’s Buds Rescue steps in where others don’t—but we can’t do it without YOU. If you’d like to help this boy’s care, donate toward his vetting, food, and recovery: BellesBudsRescue.org PayPal: paypal.me/bellesbudsrescue Venmo: https://www.venmo.com/u/BellesBudsRescue Apply to foster or adopt: http://bit.ly/BellesBudsApp Thank you for being the village that makes rescues like this possible. Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.HW NegativeHandsome boy Yeti was DNA tested, and he is 86% Great Pyrenees, 5% Chow Chow, 5% Siberian Husky, and 4% German Shepherd.  Yeti's thick luxurious coat shows off his Siberian Husky side, with his subtle blondish Husky-like face mask, and his Chow Chow side, with a slight reddish blonde tint to his very thick dense Pyr coat. Yeti loves to jump, play and wrestle with his foster Husky pack too.  Sweet boy Yeti was known as Scruffy, way back in March of 2025, when he was at the City of Houston BARC shelter, since his coat was full of grass burrs, covered in car grease oil grime, his fur was so densely matted, plus he had multiple facial and bodily injuries, from his time on the streets.  After healing fully, and now being very healthy, while in GPAT foster care, Yeti is such a very handsome Pyr!  He's a petite Pyr boy, as he's a floofy smaller than expected Pyr mix, due to his breed mix, so he is just the perfect size Yeti for all of your adventures!  Adopt Yeti!  Adoption Criteria (Young Adult) 1. Texas Adopters, and out of state adopters will be considered on a case by case basis. 2. Adoption Fee: $375.00 (includes vaccinations, spay/neuter, microchip, heartworm test). 3. We only adopt out companion dogs that will be considered part of the family and will be primarily inside dogs.   4. Preference is for applicants to have some knowledge and experience with the Great Pyrenees breed. Specific information about the breed will be shared during the interview/virtual home visit.  5. Secure and visible fencing is required. In a very few cases, fencing options will be considered based on the specific needs of a particular dog.  6. Preference is for applicants willing to provide "positive" training to adopted dogs. 7. All current pets in adoptive homes should be spayed/neutered and up to date on vaccines.       Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.June 15, 2026, 1:29 pm
