Story
Josh was found in our neighborhood last summer by one of our neighbors. He was just over 1 year old and he was so sweet and very energetic. The neighbors already had a dog so it was difficult for them to manage two dogs. We offered to foster him until his owners showed up, as we figured this was just a case of an adventurous husky on a joyride. Physical and digital signs were posted on every post and forum we could think of. No one ever called. So he has been with us for a little over a year now, he is a very sweet and playful boy, follows commands like sit and down and such. He loves going for his evening walks, car rides, and doggy playdates. Unfortunately, we are starting to get really busy as my kids grow older and their school responsibility increases. I am a single mom and can no longer manage house, kids, and this pup. I really hope we can find him a new home as he is a really good dog, he deserves to be with a family that can be more actively engaged with him.

Great dog with goofy personality. Doesn't escape like huskies are known to do. Loves to be around his people and not super independent like other huskies can be.

Story
Meet Max, a delightful puppy brimming with energy and love. His playful and cuddly nature makes him the perfect companion for games and snuggles. He weighs 36 pounds and likes running, tugging, toys, walks, water, wrestling, and chasing squirrels. He doesn`t like car rides. Despite his youth, Max is incredibly smart and curious, always ready to learn new tricks. He already knows the sit, stay, no, and down commands. He`s gentle yet protective, showing a deep loyalty to those he bonds with. Max is a bit jumpy and excitable and never to proud to beg for attention, cuddling, or treats. He`ll need some training to polish his manners and he needs help with house training and leash walking. His affectionate, lap dog tendencies make him an ideal pet for someone who enjoys close companionship. Max is a social butterfly who loves playing with other dogs, cats, and children. He thrives on companionship and is always eager to be part of the action although he is distrustful of strangers. His fearful nature is leading us to require that he live with children at least six years old. He was given up because his family moved and isn`t allowed to have a pet. Adopt Max and discover the joy of unconditional love and playful adventures every day! (tw 3/2/2026)

Story
Some call me a gentle giant. I'm 72 lbs but am a total gentleman. I walk well on leash (I walk a mile every morning), know some commands and just want to be by your side. I like other dogs, although cats are still a mystery. I may have a bit of husky in my background as I do like to talk and sing when the mood strikes but I rarely bark. I am potty trained and LOVE to ride in the car. I'm up to date with shots, neutered and have my microchip. I'm the full package and ready for my forever family.

Story
Meet Canlita, a young, vibrant shelter dog brimming with life. She`s the epitome of joy, blending her cuddly, friendly nature with a smart and energetic spirit. Canlita is a social butterfly, gracefully juggling her shyness with bravery. She loves playing with other dogs and is wonderful with children, though her excitement can make her a bit jumpy. Since arriving at the shelter, her fearful behavior is leading us to require that children in the home be at least nine years old. She weighs 46 pounds and likes fetch, running, toys, and water. She is still learning about leash walking and house training. She knows the no, down, and off commands and won`t run away while off leash. She was given up because there were too many animals in the home. Canlita`s lovable personality makes her a perfect family companion. Adopt Canlita and bring home boundless love and playful adventures. (tw 2/22/2026)

Story
We step up. Again.Because when people fail them… we refuse to look away. This poor, sweet boy was found on a country road in Brookshire—nothing but skin, bones, and a will to survive. He is heartbreakingly thin, every rib and hip bone visible… yet still gentle, still hopeful, still trying. Thanks to Steven and Donna, he was safely off the streets these last couple of days. And tonight, thanks to an amazing foster who said YES, he is safe with us. He will see our vet tomorrow to begin the long road back to health. He deserves a chance. He deserves a full belly, a warm bed, and people who won’t fail him ever again. Belle’s Buds Rescue steps in where others don’t—but we can’t do it without YOU.
