I’m a 1.5‑year‑old, 50‑pound Husky who is vaccinated, neutered, heartworm negative, microchipped, and absolutely not prepared for the concept of “indoor living.” Let’s get this straight: I have spent my entire life outdoors. I do not know what a couch is. I do not know why humans put rugs on the floor. I do not know why your decorative throw pillow exists, but I will chew it if you leave me alone and I get scared. So yes, I need a home with a fenced backyard where I can decompress, vibe, and slowly learn that houses are not terrifying portals full of fragile chewable objects. My Indoor Learning Curve (A Comedy) “Dog toys” and “not dog toys” are currently the same category in my brain. But hey, I’m potty trained and will go to the door and nudge when I want out. My Personality I’m sweet, gentle, and loving—like a soft, confused cloud. I adore other dogs and express affection by rubbing my whole body against them like a cat (but don’t get excited—I am NOT good with actual cats). I love my dog friends, especially my mom Scarlet, who’s also available for adoption. I’m good with kids, I ride calmly in the car, and I’m cooperative at the vet. I enjoy meeting new people… slowly. I’ve had very little human interaction in my life, so I need gentle introductions and patient humans. I’m good with some men, but others? Suspicious. Meet Lil Bit!! What we see is that Little Bit is an easy going girl that has melted right in to the background of the homelife of women who work from home and have 2 small dogs of their own. She is respectful of them and is enjoying laying outside and enjoying the beautiful weather and the soft dog bed that has been offered to her. She is crate trained and just fine. She would love to play with the small dogs but they have refused her playful offerings. As cute as she is, they are not interested. The family we would love to adopt Little Bit is one that has a fenced yard and someone not gone 9 hours a day. Shorter time gone is fine or even a work from home situation would be perfection. She is housebroken apparently and she know how to cross her legs like a Southern Lady! Some added weight might be good for this girl and a 55 pound healthy weight would be ideal for her. She is a beauty. A Husky/Shepherd mix is definitely the consensus of her breed. She is currently 48 pounds and stunning in every way. Coco is a sweet girl that we rescued 3 years ago, we took her in from an elderly neighbor who could no longer care for her. She loves people and other dogs, and she loves being active! We love Coco and all of her quirks (she loves to talk and make “husky” noises!) but she has strong husky instincts as well, including some resource guarding of food and stuffed toys. When adults are in the room, she keeps her resources guarding in check, but if left unsupervised she can sometimes snap at another dog or small child who doesn’t respect her space. The reason we are rehoming is because we are expecting a baby in November and want to make sure both Coco and the baby are protected and respected and don’t want to risk an accident. We would like someone with experience with Huskies and/or resource guarding to take her in, preferably in a home without small children. The rehoming fee is just to make sure someone is dedicated to loving and caring for her like we have. She is a good girl!
