Story
Leila is a purebred Siberian Husky, born November 8, 2020. We’ve had her since she was 8 weeks old, and she’s been a loving part of our family ever since. She’s super smart, affectionate, and full of personality. Like most huskies, Leila is very high-energy and thrives in an environment where she has plenty of space to run, play, and stay mentally stimulated. She would do best with an active owner or a home that understands the needs of the breed. This has been a very difficult decision for us. We recently welcomed a newborn, and despite our best intentions, we’re finding it challenging to meet both our baby’s needs and give Leila the time, attention, and freedom she truly deserves. Our priority is making sure she has the happy, fulfilling life she’s used to.We are looking for a loving, committed home that can give Leila the exercise, structure, and attention she needsRabies vaccine booster is needed

Story
Loki is a 6 year old Siberian Husky. He has been with us since he was 2 months old. House trained?!!! he is a husky, so that pretty much tells you that he is trained to what he wants to be trained on🤪 It saddens the family to re-home him, but it is unfair for him to stay with us. Our work schedule and kids’ school can no longer suffice his needs.

Story
Apple Jacks is a young (born 1.18.23) male Husky/Akita mix. He is up to date on vaccines, microchipped, on flea/heartworm prevention, and we're still fine-tuning house, crate, and leash training. Apple Jacks was born in our rescue, along with his other siblings we named the Cereal Killer Crew, in keeping with the theme started with their mom, Cheerio : Frosted Mini Wheat "Frosty", Cinnamon Toast Crunch "Cinnamon", Cocoa Puff "Cocoa", Cap'n Crunch "Cap'n", Lucky Charms "Lucky", Fruit Loops "Fruity", and Apple Jacks "Jack". These pups (born 1.18.23) were born to Akita mom, Cheerio, so we HAD to name them after cereals 😅 We didn't know Cheerio was pregnant when she arrived with us. We took her to the vet for what we *thought* was a UTI but.... surprise! She was pregnant. She was surrendered to the shelter with 3 huskies, including an intact male, so we feel we can safely call these guys Akita/Husky mixes (Huskitas). She whelped 8 puppies (4 girls, and 4 boys), but one of the females (Rice Crispy) was still born. Apple Jacks is very friendly with people and other dogs. He would do well in a home with a female canine companion.

Story
Fen has spent far too many days watching the world from the end of a chain. When his owner moved away, this 6-year-old Lab/Husky mix was left behind on a lonely tie-out at an empty house, cared for only by kind neighbors who refused to let him be forgotten. They shared that Fen once lived indoors, but as his owner’s health declined, Fen’s life slowly shrank to neglect and isolation. Despite it all, Fen’s heart remains wide open.   This sweet boy is full of gentle enthusiasm and gratitude for every bit of attention. The moment he’s free to stretch his legs, Fen lights up — he loves to run, play, and feel the joy of simply being a dog again. He already knows how to sit, walks well on a leash, and shows just how smart and willing he is to listen and learn. Fen wants so badly to connect with people; he leans in for affection like he’s been saving up years of love to give.   Because he’s been forced to live outside for so long, he may need a little patience while relearning house manners and routine — but he’s had a home before, and he’s eager to understand again. Fen is currently underweight, a visible reminder of how he’s been failed, but also a hopeful sign of how much better his future can be with someone who truly cares.   Fen isn’t broken. He’s loving, loyal, and ready to bloom in the hands of a family who will never leave him behind again. All he needs now is a warm place to land, steady meals, and the promise that he’ll always belong.   PLEASE NOTE:  Our dogs are transported from Tennessee to meeting places in the states where we have posted.  Further information about us is given on our Adopt-A-Pet site.  The adoption fees vary and will be provided as well as noted on the application you receive.  Contact us at 615-661-5333 or ccrnewengland@gmail.comMarch 7, 2026, 12:24 pm

Story
Meet Cubby – Your Adventure Buddy and Best Friend! Breed: Husky Mix | Age: 2.5 years | Weight: 50 lbs Cubby is a stunning Husky mix with soulful eyes and a heart of gold. After being rescued from an overcrowded backyard situation, this sweet boy has blossomed in foster care and is now ready to find his forever family.   Cubby has discovered the joys of life—walks, playtime, snuggles, and, most of all, people! He’s affectionate, smart, and always seems to be trying to understand everything around him with those expressive eyes. He’s especially great with children and loves being part of a family.   An energetic and athletic pup, Cubby thrives on adventure. He loves long walks, hiking, backpacking, playing fetch, running beside a bike, and splashing in the water. If you lead an active lifestyle, Cubby might just be your perfect match. And when the day is done? He’s happy to chill on his dog bed, content just being near his people.   Cubby currently lives with two other dogs and absolutely loves playing with them. He would thrive in a home with a fenced yard and another dog buddy—or as your one-and-only if he gets plenty of exercise and enrichment.   Cubby is not just a dog—he’s a loyal companion, hiking partner, and forever friend who will bring joy, laughter, and love to your life. All he needs is a family who will give him the active, loving home he deserves.    Fostered in Tennessee   PLEASE NOTE:  Our dogs are transported from Tennessee to meeting places in the states where we have posted.  Further information about us is given on our Adopt-A-Pet site.  The adoption fees vary and will be provided as well as noted on the application you receive.  Contact us at 615-661-5333 or ccrnewengland@gmail.comMarch 7, 2026, 12:24 pm

Story
Rose is a husky mix we got as a rescue about 3 tears ago. My husband picked her out and he was her person. He passed away last year and while she tolerates me, she does not come sit with me or interact with me past the basic need to go potty. We will be moving next year and I can not have the added challenge of finding a rental that accepts pets. We need to find her person again.

Story
SNOWBELL arrived at VBACAC as a stray and not only have we already learned a lot about her, we are still learning more every day.One to five years old and tipping the scales around 45 pounds, slender and ACTIVE SNOWBELL is that dog everyone will want to look at. With REMARKABLE two-tone eyes, short, tan fur, and ears that you can see working when they turn towards every sound, Snowbell is a stunning girl.RUNNING and chasing tennis balls - no retrieving though - and getting treats might be her top priorities.SILLY, sweet and devoted to her humans, Snowbell does need time to fully designate you as her human. Trust has to be there and this doesn't take long! Give her the time and space and you'll see! PS Treats help a lot! LOLTalking about TREATS, training to help her get over some of her quirks might also be a way to win over her heart.Snowbell is happiest when she can get all the attention herself. This means no competition with other dogs but instead, she prefers to be an only pet.Come on in and just ask to have staff take you to a yard for your introduction. Let her approach at her own pace. We know Snowbell will sell herself! Primary Color: Brown Secondary Color: White Weight: 52.2 Age: 2yrs 7mths 2wks
