Story
Meet Sky! She came to the shelter as a surrender and is about 6 years old. She has been spayed, vaccinated, and microchipped. Meet Sky, a sweet and gentle little lady looking for a calm, loving home to call her own. Sky came to the shelter as a surrender, so she can be a little shy when meeting new people at first. But once she gets to know you, her true personality shines; her tail starts wagging, and she gets so excited to head outside for walks and spend time by your side. Sky is very well behaved and polite, making her an easy companion to have around the house. She enjoys attention from her people and will happily repay your kindness with lots of love and loyalty. Sky would prefer to be the only dog in the home, as she isn’t very fond of other dogs. But she promises to make up for it with all the affection and companionship you could ever need. If you'd like to be Sky's furever home you can call (540) 778-2101 or email animalshelter@pagecounty.virginia.gov.

Story
Archer is a 2 year old husky mix who came to our rescue in September after being saved moments before euthanasia at an overcrowded Los Angeles shelter. He is one of the sweetest dogs around; always laying his head in your lap for scratches. He loves stuffed toys and other dogs, but no cats for this guy! Archer is crate trained, but he does sometimes need coaxing to initially go in. He is cuddly, and likes to follow you around room to room. He is the perfect age to bond with a new family— over the puppy and destructive teenage stage, and comfortable in the calm, loving stage. He comes when called, but hasn’t mastered fetch yet. Come meet this angel of a dog and try not to fall in love with his charm!

MAISY IS IN HER FOSTER HOME IN MEMPHIS, TN, AND WILL BE TRANSPORTED TO VA ONCE ADOPTED!    Meet Maisy! This beautiful 6 month old cream-colored girl is the total package — sweet, easygoing, playful, and ready to fit right into her forever family. With her soft coat, expressive eyes, and athletic build, Maisy turns heads everywhere she goes, but it’s her loving personality that really steals hearts. Maisy is the kind of dog who adapts beautifully to whatever the day brings. Want to relax on the couch or enjoy a quiet evening on the porch? She’s perfectly content to chill by your side. Ready for an adventure, hike, or backyard play session? Maisy is athletic, playful, and always happy to join in the fun. She is crate trained, house trained, rides wonderfully in the car, and has excellent manners around the house. Maisy is a quiet girl overall, although she does enjoy giving a little howl when she hears sirens — it’s pretty adorable! She’s confident and unfazed by rain, thunderstorms, or loud noises. Maisy loves other dogs, enjoys toys and playtime, and is good with kids and cats too, making her an easy fit for many different types of homes. She’s affectionate, gentle, and has a calm, loving nature that makes everyone around her fall in love. Maisy is spayed, microchipped, fully vaccinated, and up-to-date on all preventatives. All she’s missing now is a family to call her own. Her adoption fee of $600 includes the transport to VA. We use a licensed and registered USDA transport company that will bring Maisy up north to her new family. You can apply to adopt her today!     If you have any questions, please email us at: newbeginnings_animalrescue@yahoo.com   You can apply to adopt Maisy here: www.newbeginningsanimalrescue.net   THANK YOU FOR CONSIDERING ADOPTING A RESCUED PET!  Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.May 30, 2026, 11:46 am

Story
ANNA IS IN HER FOSTER HOME IN MEMPHIS, TN, AND WILL BE TRANSPORTED TO VA ONCE ADOPTED!    Anna is a super sweet 1–2-year-old Siberian Husky. She was found as a stray and was then tied up in a yard for a short time before being turned over to the rescue. She accepts training and is very treat motivated. She likes to play with her people and accepts dogs smaller than her. She is initially timid and guarded around dogs bigger than her. However, when given time and the opportunity to get to know them, she is tolerant of them as well. Anna needs a family that is willing to give her time and space and let her be in control of affection and play time. She has not been tested with small children or animals other than dogs. She currently lives in a foster home with three other dogs but has only befriended the smaller male. She would do best as an only dog in a home with adults or older children. She is fully vetted. Vetting includes spay/neuter, microchip, rabies and all dog vaccinations. Her adoption fee of $600 includes the transport to VA. We use a licensed and registered USDA transport company that will bring Anna up north to her new family.   If you have any questions, please email us at: newbeginnings_animalrescue@yahoo.com   You can apply to adopt Anna here: www.newbeginningsanimalrescue.net      THANK YOU FOR CONSIDERING ADOPTING A RESCUED PET!  Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.May 30, 2026, 11:46 am

Story
Meet Ghoat. He’s being fostered in east TN. Out of state welcome for additional fee. We transport to the Greta lakes and northeast areas east areas. We use rescue riders for all our pet transport needs. Ghost had a home but unfortunately his owner could not longer care for him. He’s a really sweet pup. He loves attention and will come rest his head on your lap for petting and ear scratches. He gets along with most all other dogs big and small young or old. He is very playful and has lots of energy. He seems to be a husky mix. He has the curled husky tail and the coat of a medium coated husky but he also looks like he could be mixed with another breed. He’s not very big and only around 45 lbs. he’s a year old so he should not get much bigger. He probably will top out around 50-55 lbs. he is crate trained and house trained and walks well on a leash. He is a just a little shy when meeting new people and it doesn’t take long for him to warm up. He is one smart and sweet pup!
