Archer is a 2 year old husky mix who came to our rescue in September after being saved moments before euthanasia at an overcrowded Los Angeles shelter. He is one of the sweetest dogs around; always laying his head in your lap for scratches. He loves stuffed toys and other dogs, but no cats for this guy! Archer is crate trained, but he does sometimes need coaxing to initially go in. He is cuddly, and likes to follow you around room to room. He is the perfect age to bond with a new family— over the puppy and destructive teenage stage, and comfortable in the calm, loving stage. He comes when called, but hasn’t mastered fetch yet. He has lived with children and cats and has done wonderfully with both. He also does well around other dogs. His current family loves him very much, but their child has autism and is very sensitive to the constant licking and the amount of hair that comes with a long-haired Husky, so they have made the difficult decision to find him a home that is a better fit for everyone. Like many Huskies, he has a beautiful long coat, which also means regular brushing and plenty of shedding—so his future family should be prepared for the fluff that comes with such a gorgeous dog! Meet Ghoat. He’s being fostered in east TN. Out of state welcome for additional fee. We transport to the Greta lakes and northeast areas east areas. We use rescue riders for all our pet transport needs. Ghost had a home but unfortunately his owner could not longer care for him. He’s a really sweet pup. He loves attention and will come rest his head on your lap for petting and ear scratches. He gets along with most all other dogs big and small young or old. He is very playful and has lots of energy. He seems to be a husky mix. He has the curled husky tail and the coat of a medium coated husky but he also looks like he could be mixed with another breed. He’s not very big and only around 45 lbs. he’s a year old so he should not get much bigger. He probably will top out around 50-55 lbs. he is crate trained and house trained and walks well on a leash.
