Story
We are needing to rehome our 5 year old husky as we are not able to provide her with the time she needs and we believe some of our kids may be allergic to pet dander. Athena is an energetic sweetheart who loves her people and takes a bit of time to open up to new people. Athena would do best in a house without babies as she does not know her size and can be a bit rough with her kisses. She is kennel trained and does great in her kennel while we are at work. Loves to play with other dogs. We have a fenced in yard. $200 rehoming fee to ensure she goes to a good home. Located in Appleton. Not up to date on vaccines as our vet recently retired. She is spayed and chipped. Will come with all of her remaining food and her kennel. Help us find a good home for our sweet Athena 😊

Story
Name: Tethys (T) Age: 9 months  Breed: Husky mix Gender: male Weight: 40 Good with kids: unsure as he is skiddish, but will evaluate once more comfortable Good with dogs: yes Good with cats: unsure Current on vaccinations: yes Fixed: yes Foster location: Wisconsin Rapids  Application & Website: https://www.ourpackanimalrescue.com/adoption.html Adoption fee: $400 Adoption includes Certified Vet Inspection, and Prior vetting paperwork.   Bio: Tethys has made is way north to find his forever family. He arrived 2/24 and had quite a hard trip. He was scared, shut down and absolutely terrified. Being taken away from his siblings and mom had to be frightening enough, but T also is very shy. While at the shelter/kennel in Texas with his siblings it took everyone else a day or 2 to settle in, but T took a week or 2. When his siblings left he had to be moved back in with his mom, Roxy for comfort. The hope from the rescue in Texas was that once in a home environment his transition would be easier and he could gain some confidence. His first 2 days at his foster home was mostly spent in his kennel and shaking. By day 3 he was hanging outside his kennel, but still on high alert. Wednesday morning was a brand new day for him, which started with playtime with a chew. Wednesday night he opened up even more and played with the fellow foster dog in the home. Each day he has grown a little bit and his confidence is starting to peak out. Going outside on the leash has been a challenge and he is learning where to potty and how to walk nicely on a leash. His foster home is fenced in, but building his confidence is the main goal at this point, so leash training is a priority. After 1 week in his foster home he finally was brave enough to walk the yard with his foster mom. He has a long road ahead of him, but already has shown improvement and we are confident he'll get there, just may take a little longer. All dogs need patience, kindness and understanding. We will continue to update Tethys' journey.   Our Pack Animal Rescue, Inc. Is an all foster based rescue. Meet and greets are arranged after an application has been approved. Preapproval applications for future adoption are welcome.April 29, 2024, 10:15 pm

Story
Name: Opi Age: 10+ Breed: Husky mix Gender: male Weight: 60 pounds Good with kids: yes Good with dogs: yes Good with cats: n/a Current on vaccinations: Yes Fixed: Yes Foster location: Waupaca Application & Website: https://www.ourpackanimalrescue.com/adoption.html Adoption fee: $200 Adoption includes Certified Vet Inspection, and Prior vetting paperwork. Bio: Allow us to introduce Opi. Like most rescue dogs, Opi hasn’t had a great life, up until our partners at MASA became his guardians. Opi lived his life with an owner battling some demons and took every opportunity to bail. He has been said to be a door dasher, though he hasn’t shown that in either of his foster homes. Sometimes, you just know you’re not where you’re supposed to be. Opi was found on the streets of Texas many times, as the screen shots will show here in his album. The last time, after being found for the last decade his owner said he didn’t want him back. Whatever the reason Opi took his chance and came to Wisconsin in search of the perfect retirement life. Now you’ll see his age says 10+ we rarely know exactly how old a rescue dog is, but there are photos of him at the shelter in 2014, and they estimated him to be about 4 years old at that time. Don’t let his age fool you, this boy plays with the best of ‘em yet, and honestly, a has little bit of a rough style of play. Opi is the most loving dog we’ve seen in the foster home and is happy to chill on the couch or go on an adventure with you, or play with the other dogs in the home. He’s a go with the flow type of guy, and with the exception of his food is happy to share his home and people with other dogs. Our Pack Animal Rescue, Inc. Is an all foster based 501c3 rescue. License #487823. Meet and greets are arranged after an application has been approved.April 29, 2024, 10:15 pm
