Story
Meet the adorable Aries! This wonderful dog is house trained and does great when left alone. Although he's hesitant to enter his crate at first, once inside, he settles down and waits patiently until you return. Aries isn't destructive and does well on a leash, though he could use a bit more training to be considered a pro. He knows commands like "sit" and "house" (for crate), and he's learning "leave it" and "wait/stay." Aries enjoys picking up items around the house, like stuffed toys or, if none are available, your belongings. When he wants attention, he'll sing the husky song and paw at you. Aries has glaucoma, which is managed with medication, but he may need eye surgery in the future if the condition worsens. He takes eye drops easily with belly rubs, and he's good with other dogs in his foster home. Aries loves carrying stuffed toys without tearing them apart and enjoys chewing on bones. He doesn't quite grasp tug of war or fetch but loves squeaky toys, having separate ones for indoors and outdoors. He is described as loving, affectionate, and curious by his foster family. With his super fuzzy fur and adorable teddy bear face with a perfect pink nose, he's irresistibly cute. He prefers to be with his pack but will settle in another room if needed. Aries is incredibly tolerant, especially with grooming, eye drops, and being dried off. True to his husky nature, he has a distinct "song that he'll share, especially if ignored. Aries is one of the best-behaved dogs his foster family has had, needing minimal training due to his intelligence and quick learning. Aries would thrive in a relaxed, yet outdoorsy environment with people ready to manage his fur and provide the stimulation he needs, like complex slow feeder bowls. As long as he has access to dog beds, couches, and toys, Aries is a very happy boy! Please note that Aries will likely require daily eye drops and possibly surgery for his glaucoma in the future. While this doesn't currently affect his behavior or personality, he needs a home understanding to his medical care. Apply for this good boy today!

Story
Meet Ghost, the husky! This handsome boy weighs around 40 pounds and has quite the zest for life. He has the cutest zoomies around the yard and loves to dash around, you might even catch him playfully chasing his tail. Once he settles down, he enjoys giving gentle hugs. Ghost is still working on mastering commands like sit and stay, but he's a quick learner and already shows promise. When he's not busy running around, he's content hanging out in his room, so we think he would do well when kenneled. Though he's still figuring out potty training, he's got the potential to be a pro with a solid routine. Ghost is a stunning white husky with dark, expressive eyes and a gentle nature. He hasn't met cats or kids yet, so we're not sure how he'll do with them. If you're looking for a fun-loving and affectionate companion, apply now!

Story
Artic is an easy-going, happy guy who's excited to meet everyone and explore new smells and places. He loves to roll in grass, snuggle and get butt scratches, and he's working on his jumping and big hugs that he gives to people when he greets them. Artic likes to chew on stuffed animals or leashes if he's bored, so we believe he'd do best in an active home where he can go on adventures that put his sniffer to work! Artic has been doing well playing with most dogs here at the shelter and loves to roll around with friends. He is currently located in a foster home with other dogs and doing well. Artic does not do well when left unattended due to some anxiety and will require a home with another dog. Please note: - Our website (www.neenahanimalshelter.org) is updated in real time, so we are accepting applications for all animals that are currently listed. - Applications can be downloaded from our website. (http://neenahanimalshelter.org/how-to-adopt.html) - Our shelter no longer has open visiting hours, so a pre-approved application and scheduled appointment is needed prior to meeting any of our animals
