Story
Meet Max, a delightful 30 lb bundle of joy. Max had been hanging at one of our local municipal rescue partners for several months. His time was up, and we happened to notice his cute little smile and short stubby legs on their last plea post. Even though he had already tested positive for heartworms, there was something about this little toot that called us to save him. And man oh man....we are SO happy that we saved him because he truly is just a little bundle of joy and love He's very interested in what humans are up to and he's not a Stage 5 clinger by any means, but he is a solid Stage 2 clinger. He's good to get in his crate with a toy or puzzle, but he really wants to be in on the action. His temp foster dad was doing some chores around the house that didn't involve Max, but Max wanted to be sure that he was in the mix. If he could have taken notes, we feel certain he would have made notes for future reference in case his forever Dad needed help with same chore. Known for his sweet and endearing nature, Max is the epitome of a great companion. His intelligence shines through in every interaction, and his playful, energetic spirit is contagious. Max loves to engage in fun activities, and he is a GREAT candidate for agility training if that's your cup of tea. He is always ready for a game or a puzzle. His friendly and goofy personality makes him a favorite among both staff and volunteers. Adopting Max means bringing home endless laughter, love, and loyalty. He's simply the perfect addition to any family looking for a furry friend to cherish. Apply to adopt Max today at www.cprdogs.com. Max is spayed/neutered, up to date on vaccinations, and current on flea/tick and heartworm preventative. All dogs 6 month + receive a Proheart 6 injection at the time of their heartworm test. This provides heartworm prevention for 6 months from the time of that injection. This dog has tested positive for heartworms and will be fully treated before leaving our care. The adoption fee is $450 if your adoption is prepaid and final prior to your dog's arrival. An additional $50 will be charged on dogs that are adopted at an event, or foster home. This additional fee is necessary in order to comply with CT HB 5368. WANT TO MEET OUR DOGS IN PERSON? Check the Events tab on cprdogs.com for all weekend adoption event info. The majority of the dogs marked as 'meet me' will be there to see you! If you are a MA resident, your new family member is required to go through a mandatory 48 hour quarantine period at our Woburn MA isolation facility. Your new family member will be dropped off by our transport on Thursday and will be ready for you to pick him/her up on Saturday between 11 am-1 pm. An additional $100 fee will be added for any dogs picked up from the Woburn MA quarantine facility. This additional fee is necessary in order to comply with MA Order 405-CD-12 and Order 1-AHO-05. TO APPLY PLEASE GO TO www.cprdogs.com. If your application was successfully submitted you will get a confirmation. Please DO NOT USE the ADOPTAPET "CONTACT THIS RESCUE GROUP" form below or you may not hear from us as these often end up in spam or bouncing back. After receipt of your application, an adoption counselor will then be in touch to answer your questions about this pup, discuss the adoption process and get the ball rolling! If you have not heard from one of our volunteers within 5 days of submitting your application, please email mollibo@gmail.com.

Story
**I am located in Georgia, but I can be transported north to you!** Name: Roxy Breed: Jack Russell Terrier Mix Sex/Age/Weight: Female/8 years old/10lbs Vetting: Up to date on vaccines, spayed, microchipped, and heartworm negative. Please see the special notes regarding Roxy's cancer diagnosis. House-trained/Crate-trained: I am fully house-trained and crate-trained, although my foster parents leave me out of the crate when they are not around. I spend most of my time sleeping anyways. Dogs/Cats/Children: I would prefer to be the only dog in the home. I also don’t like cats very much. I have never been around children inside a home but I have met a couple on walks and I seem to like them. Energy Level: Low energy but I enjoy going on short walks. Before FAR/My History: Before coming to FAR, I was surrendered due to a cancerous mass. Since then, I have undergone three surgeries to remove the masses. The vet mentioned that there is still a possibility that the cancer may have spread to other parts of my body. There is also a possibility that the cancerous masses that were removed will come back. The type of cancer I have is an aggressive form of doggy breast cancer. However, I have been doing well and have been gaining weight under the care of my foster parents. Things I like: Cuddles, treats, and getting love. Things I don’t like: Loud noises. Ideal Family/Home: I am a senior dog with special needs, but I am still a loving and sweet companion. I am hoping to find a peaceful and comfortable place to spend my golden years. Special Notes: Roxy is a senior dog with special needs, and due to her cancer diagnosis may require extensive medical care. If you are interested in giving Roxy a forever home, please visit the link below to fill out an application! http://fureverafterrescue.org/adoption-application.html It is best to submit an application through a computer. We have experienced some problems when applications have been submitted using a mobile device. *When you submit the application, you are not obligated to adopt however it does reserve for you the opportunity to adopt that particular animal. We review them on a first come first served basis. If your application is approved, we will contact you and allow you the opportunity to adopt. If you choose not to adopt, we will contact the next approved applicant. If you have any questions or difficulties, please contact us and we will be glad to help! http://fureverafterrescue.org/adoption-application.html

CHERRY IS IN HER FOSTER HOME IN MEMPHIS, TN, AND WILL BE TRANSPORTED TO CT ONCE ADOPTED!    Meet Cherry! Cherry is a spunky little girl that’s full of personality. She doesn’t meet a stranger and is dog friendly! She’s a young pup who is just a year old, so she does still have some of that puppy mentality. Cherry would make an amazing addition to any family that is looking to add some fun into their lives. She’s 15 pounds, very active and outgoing, but also doesn’t mind a nap every once in a while. She may be small but she is mighty! She is fully vetted. Vetting includes spay/neuter, microchip, rabies and all dog vaccinations. Her adoption fee of $600 includes the transport to CT. We use a licensed and registered USDA transport company that will bring Cherry up north to her new family.   If you have any questions, please email us at: newbeginnings_animalrescue@yahoo.com   You can apply to adopt Cherry here: www.newbeginningsanimalrescue.net   THANK YOU FOR CONSIDERING ADOPTING A RESCUED PET! Story
🍬 Ike – The Original Sweet Tart (Dad, 5 Years Old) Meet Ike — yes, like the candy, and yes, he lives up to the brand. This 5-year-old heartthrob is sweet, a little nutty, and guaranteed to give you a sugar rush without the dentist bill. Ike is basically what happens when you mix caramel coloring with espresso energy and wrap it in a perfectly portable package. He and his son look like someone hit “copy + paste,” but Ike’s signature move? His stylish side-spot. It’s like he drizzled himself with chocolate and said, “That’s enough flair.” Ike seems to operate on a perpetual candy high. He bounces, zooms, wiggles, and then looks at you like, “What? I thought we were celebrating life?” He’s playful, happy, and has the kind of joyful energy that makes even Mondays feel like Halloween. Fully stocked and ready to go: ✔️ Neutered ✔️ Microchipped ✔️ Up to date on shots ✔️ 100% sugar-coated personality Ike is the original recipe — sweet, classic, and impossible not to smile at. Warning: Side effects of adopting either Ike or Mike may include spontaneous laughter, increased daily steps, and a permanent smile. Want them as a bundle? That’s what we call the full candy aisle experience. 🍬

Story
🍭 Mike – The Mini Morsel (Son, 2 Years Old) Now introducing Mike — Ike’s mini-me and proud carrier of the family sugar gene. At 2 years old, Mike is basically Ike’s mirror image… except his chocolate chip landed right on his back like he was gently booped by a cocoa fairy. It’s his designer feature. If Ike is the original candy, Mike is the fun-size version with extra pop rocks inside. He has that young-guy energy that says, “Let’s run! Let’s play! Let’s see what’s in that box! Let’s celebrate absolutely everything!” Sweet? Absolutely. Goofy? Without question. Living on an invisible sugar high? 24/7. He’s neutered, microchipped, and up to date on all shots — so he’s fully wrapped and ready for his forever home. Mike is affectionate, animated, and always ready to sprinkle a little extra sweetness into your life. Warning: Side effects of adopting either Ike or Mike may include spontaneous laughter, increased daily steps, and a permanent smile. Want them as a bundle? That’s what we call the full candy aisle experience. 🍬
