Story
Momma Goldilocks was a wonderful momma to her babies, and now she's ready for her forever home. Goldilocks enjoys playing with her toys, spending time in the yard, and cuddling up with her favorite person or canine companion. She's not a fan of thunderstorms, and will find a lap to snuggle up in. Goldilocks is great with all people and other dogs. She hasn't experienced cats yet. Goldilocks is fully crate, house, and leash trained. As with every dog, she will need a forever home committed to providing ongoing opportunities for socialization and positive training. Goldilocks s up to date on all vaccinations and monthly preventatives. She is spayed and microchipped, too. Goldilocks has been treated for heartworm disease. She currently weighs 22lbs. Story
Rio came to us as an owner surrender when his family was losing their home to eviction. He was one of a number of dogs in the home that needed new homes, and we were able to take 3 of them. Rio is a friendly boy who is somewhat timid when he first meets new people or encounters new situations. He warms up quickly! There's no aggression - he's just a little scared at first.\ He loves other dogs and we would like to see him in a home with at least one other dog. He was best friends with a dog in his former home, and seems to love having a canine companion or two. He would be happy to live with children 10 years old or older. Rio is a wonderful boy who will make a great family member!

Story
Emma is a beautiful, gentle dog (just about a year old) who’s blossoming into her best self. She loves being outside, taking in all the smells on nature walks, then curling up afterward for some quiet time and belly rubs. Her fur is incredibly soft. She’s housebroken, crate trained, and playful with dogs of all sizes. Emma really shines when she has a confident canine companion by her side, so we’re looking for a home with another friendly dog to help her continue growing. After a tough start in life, Emma can be shy at first meeting, but with a little patience and a few treats, she starts to open up. In less than a week, she was snuggling with her foster family, happily hopping onto the bed for belly rubs. When she leans in for more pets, rolls onto her back, or wags her tail with quiet excitement as you clip on her leash, it feels like such a gift. She’s food-motivated, affectionate, and gaining confidence every day. One thing to note: Emma isn’t a fan of cats, so she’ll need a feline-free home. But with love, calm encouragement, and a little time to settle in, she will reward you with the most tender companionship and heart-melting moments. Think you might be Emma’s person? Submit an application online and come meet her this Saturday at our Meet & Greet from 11:30–1:30! If you are interested in this dog, please submit an application directly to our website at www.ny-petrescue.org. Only applications submitted directly to Petrescue will be considered.

Story
Meet Lucky, a super cute 2 year old neutered male rat terrier mix, weighing about 15 lbs! Lucky is a sweet, friendly boy who is good with other dogs, people, and kids. He has not been cat tested, so we are unsure how he would do with cats.  From Lucky's current foster: "Lucky is very friendly, loves everyone and his tail is always wagging, he is housebroken. Likes toys, would be great in apartment as he is quiet, medium energy." He is medically up to date, housebroken, and crate trained. Apply to meet this 100% good boy today! Click HERE for Adoption Application: pawsrescueleague.org/adopt Adoption fees vary based on the dog and are not negotiable. As a small rescue that does not receive government funding or grants, we rely on adoption fees to stay afloat. Adoption fees help cover the following: vaccinations, wellness exams, heartworm/4DX testing, parasite prevention, spay/neuter (age-appropriate), microchipping, transport expenses, and other rescue-related overhead/administrative costs. Paws Rescue League, Inc is an all-inclusive rescue that does NOT only rescue puppies and young, healthy dogs.  We make a point to also rescue seniors, dogs with special needs, moms, and other “less desirable” dogs, knowing that we will likely incur higher veterinary expenses and that these dogs may take longer to get adopted.  As such, an individual adoption fee is not only reimbursing PRL for expenses directly related to that dog, but it is also helping us to continue our mission of taking in dogs that would otherwise be too much of a financial burden to save. We believe that ALL dogs deserve a second chance. Thank you for your support and understanding! ##2313572##
