Story
This adorable little fella is Ace. He is 2-years-old and weighs just 16 lb. We think he is a Jack Russell terrier mix. Ace is at a foster home, not at the DAWS shelter. His foster says "Ace is a social, happy-go-lucky little guy who is happy to be in this world. He just wants to be with his people, whether that is snuggling on the couch, exploring (does well on a leash and in the car) or playing (LOVES toys and plays with my dogs of similar size). Ace also does well in a crate, is housetrained and eats and sleeps well. Ace will make a great addition to any family!" Ace is vaccinated, microchipped, neutered and healthy. His adoption fee is $395. If you would like to meet/adopt Ace, please complete our online application at https://daws.org/daws-forms Here are a couple brief videos to enjoy of Ace: https://youtube.com/shorts/YxSGPj3RzCc https://youtube.com/shorts/2aGL60V2IDI

Story
Meet Atlas!!! Atlas came into the shelter in Tennessee with his brother Milo. They were both strays. They were found together under a house and were very scared and lonely. These little guys are very sweet but also start off very shy when meeting new people. It takes him a little bit of time to warm up and understand that everything will be okay. We recommend that they go with another dog in the house, to help them show the ropes. Atlas and Milo both enjoy playing with squeaky toys and chewing on their bene bones. This will keep them entertained for some time. Once they are done playing whether it be wrestling with each other or their other friends or chewing on their toys, they will take a nap. Both these boys are very snuggly and are very puppyish once they open up. Being that Atlas and Milo are both puppies, they are not able to be left alone very long right now. We would say no more than 2 to 3 hours a day. We take puppies very seriously as they need training, socialization, and lots of attention. Apply for this handsome little guy today and he will make you a happy family. Atlas cannot wait to meet his new forever family and best fur friend to run around in the fenced yard with them. If interested in Atlas, please apply online: ADOPTION APPLICATION or email us at Info.FetchingHeartsRescue@gmail.com. Unless otherwise indicated, all dogs adopted through Fetching Hearts have received the following before being available for adoption: Thorough veterinary examination. All routine annual vaccinations, including Rabies, DHLPP Bordatella (Kennel Cough) Heartworm Test Fecal Test, Deworming Microchip Flea and Tick Prevention Heartworm Prevention. Spay/Neuter All dogs are quarantined for two weeks outside of the shelter (puppies four weeks) to ensure they don't break with disease. VETTING NOTE: Fetching Hearts Rescue completely vets our dogs thoroughly to the best of our knowledge based on communication with our Southern Vets. If anything is brought to our attention, we treat the dog. After adopting the dog, you will be responsible for following up with all vetting going forward. HEARTWORM NOTE: Dogs who were treated for Heartworm can test positive up to 4-6 months after last treatment. All dogs are immediately put on Heartguard/Ivermectin following the treatment to kill the Heartworm larvae. All dogs should be re-tested after 5-6 months from the last Heartworm treatment. Personality traits Affectionate, Couch, Curious, Friendly, Funny, Gentle, Loves, Loyal, Playful, Smart

Story
Meet Billy!Billy is a 2-year-old, 14-pound Jack Russell Terrier who is thriving in his foster home! He’s a sweet, tail-wagging bundle of joy who warms up quickly to new people. In no time, Billy started following his foster mom around, enjoying pets, and coming when called.Billy is doing great with the other dogs in his foster home, following them outside to do his business and showing signs of being house-trained. Like a typical Jack Russell, he’s smart, attentive, and eager to please. Billy’s cheerful personality and intelligence make him a perfect candidate for a loving family looking for a loyal and active companion. If you’re ready for a new best friend who will brighten your days, Billy is waiting for you!IMPORTANT: Please read all below, especially if you live outside of Texas, which is where our rescue is located.Apply to adopt on our website: https://www.charmingpetrescue.org/adoptAll of our animals are spayed/neutered, microchipped, and up to date on shots.ALL of our animals are located in Boerne, TX, but transport after adoption is available to other states for a $300 fee for dogs or an additional fee varying by location for cats. If you are seeing our pets posted in your state, that's because you live near a transport stop, they are not currently at that location. Petfinder lists our pets as 'Out of Town' pets at other locations, and Adopt-a-Pet lists our location as a Transport stop. Those are currently the only options they offer to make this clear, so we put this description we've put at the bottom to explain it. You can read more about transport here: www.charmingpetrescue.org/transportWe understand transport is not an option for everyone, but we offer it at the cost we pay the transport company for those who wish to adopt from us.November 26, 2024, 8:50 pm
