My name is Bella. I am a fantastic senior! I am about 8.5 and 60ish lbs. I could stand to lose about 5 lbs or so. We think I am best described as a Lab/Collie mix with a bit of Shepherd to round me off. No one is perfect but I am pretty close to it. I am the whole package. I am calm but still have energy to romp in the yard, go on nice strolls and play with some toys. I can go at the pace of whatever family adopts me. I listen nicely and have great house manners. I am very affectionate but not in-your-face. I am playful and a great walking buddy. I am the kind of dog where you feel surprised after 3 days that I haven't lived with you for 3 years. This darling little Jack Russell boy is a young 18 month male that weighs 20 pounds and is a solid little love of a dog. His name is Puppa-Doo and he is an owner surrender that we are seeing far too many of lately. Who doesn't love a bright and happy to be alive Terrier pup that dances when you come home from a long day at the job. Puppa-Doo is great family dog just waiting to fit right in when you invite him to come home with you!!! He is housebroken and will go to door to alert you when he needs to go out. That is a huge plus in most family's check list. He loves to chase the cat for sport and fun and he will of course do a record demolition destuffing of any weak plush toy. Oh, how he loves to do that. And then to keep him responding to sounds, a squeaky toy just makes his soul delight and sore to rapid panting and smiles. He gets super excited when you play throw the squeaky toy. Puppy-Doo also will play fetch and chase if you want and that is perfect for young children who want a playful dog in their life. At the end of the day and lots playtime, he likes to give kisses and lay on your lap. . He's a door greeter-both inside the house and when a car pulls up. He adores love and attention and likes to sit and watch TV when you are there watching it with him. . And if you want a bed buddy then please let him crawl right up there next to you i He is a great protector and will alert you like a doorbell would and barks when he hears a car on the gravel driveway. All great and normal dog responsibilities that you want in your family lover and protector. And when someone shows up to visit at the house he runs circles around the outside of the house which is her own personal canine racetrack. He is active like a JRT should be. He is made that way. Crate trained and housebroken and good with other dogs and kids and adults. What more do you want in a dog and for your lifestyle. Cokie is a fun dog who prefers the run of the house and be with her people as much as possible. She is curious, is always in a great mood, and is always up for petting or playing. She is good on a leash and walks at a happy trot, is friendly with most dogs, is friendly with children (but maybe not very small children?), and has lived with a small dog most of her life. You won't believe she's a senior. We took her in after a friends elderly dad had gotten too immobile and could no longer take care of her. Why a rehome? Its not Cokie, its us. We have a senior cat and have adopted two senior dogs before. Cokie may be 16, but she is an actual dog. She is curious and wants to visit the cat, which sends our timid cat upstairs. Cokie gets some separation anxiety and she will sometimes bark in the middle of the night when she realizes she is alone downstairs. We cannot make both animals happy and the cat was here first.
