Story
Sweet little Bea was running around rural Georgia with her sidekick for several weeks after apparently being dumped. Everybody in the area said they were friendly, but no one knew them so they called animal control. The girls were very bonded at first, but we feel like their first love is people. They want to love people and be loved so badly but when they didn’t have any people, they became very attached to each other. Her sidekick has now found her forever home and it’s Miss Bea’s turn now. She’s exceptionally sweet and outgoing. She loves to go for walks and rides in the car. She also loves to snuggle on the couch. Bea is 22 pounds and between four and five years old. WE ARE ONLY GUESSING AT HER BREED! She does not really have a JRT temperament but she has the size and cute little short tail. She is up-to-date on vaccines, spayed and heartworm tested negative. She appears to be a very healthy and happy girl. She had a couple of accidents the first day in her foster home but now she’s doing very well with house training if you would like to be Miss Bea’s hero and the center of her world, please email omlc7@hotmail.com or Dogs4mylife@gmail.com and we will send you our information and application. Story
Hi, my name is Sandy.  Some call me Super Sandy because I am such a great girl.  Others call me Sheriff Sandy, as I have made it my job to patrol the yard when I hear a noise.  We have a nice fenced-in yard with lots of room to run and a doggie door in the back door.  That makes it very easy for me to do my self-appointed job.     Only a few weeks ago, I was a homeless girl abandoned in a neighborhood behind a veterinary clinic.  This nice lady took me to the vet.  They agreed to help me and let me stay there.  After my photo session for my online post, the staff called Critter Cavalry.  Now I am the lucky one enjoying life in a wonderful foster home.  It is amazing how quickly things can change. When I am not on patrol, I enjoy time with my foster brothers and sisters.  We have lots of room to play outside and room inside to relax.  I am fitting right in.  Not long after I arrived, my foster mom came home with a little scruffy boy who was also abandoned.  We shared our stories and became fast friends.  He has been adopted.  Now it is my turn.   I would love an active family that spends time outdoors.  It would also be great if they had children and another dog for me to play with.  Since I do like to patrol, a fenced-in yard is a must.  I also tend to bark when I hear noises.  Because of that, apartment life is definitely not for me.  I ride well in the car and walk ok on a leash.  I could use a refresher course in that.  I am very smart and catch on quickly.   To learn more about me and to request an application, please contact Vivienne at vivienneajames@gmail.com.  I am currently in Tennessee and can be transported north upon adoption.  APPROVED APPLICATION AND ADOPTION FEE REQUIRED.  January 13, 2026, 6:14 pm

Story
Age: 10 months old Weight: 24 lbs Vet Record: 100% vaccinated, spayed, microchipped, female Meet Cassie – the happiest tripod you’ll ever meet! Cassie is a sweet, goofy, cheerful girl with big, expressive eyes that seem to smile at you. She is house-trained, loves cuddles, and absolutely adores people and attention. Her foster says she’s kind, funny, affectionate, and very smart. Because of her sweet, easygoing nature, she’d do really well in a family with kids. Cassie gets along well with other dogs, but her very best friend is a small black kitten. They’re together all the time, playing, eating, and sharing a bed. Cassie was rescued in Georgia (the country), where she was found with a badly broken leg that couldn’t be saved. But don’t worry — Cassie has fully adapted and runs, plays, and zooms around just like any other dog. You’d never guess she’s a tripod from the way she moves and enjoys life. And she really doesn’t seem to know she’s a tripod. If you’re looking for a fun, loving companion to bring extra joy and energy into your home, Cassie is your girl. Story
His name is Carolyn's Nickels … or is it Mister George?? Let us explain. This sweet, soulful boy came into our lives with the name George. But we already had too many Georges (seriously, it’s a thing), so we gave him a fancy new name for adoption purposes to help him stand out. And while the name may be different, the dog underneath is still 100% George: loyal, loving, sensitive, and just a little bit goofy in the best possible way. George is about 5 years old and weighs around 25 pounds. George is such a unique guy that his foster parents actually did a doggie DNA test!  Based on his unique looks, it was no surprise when they learned his most prevalent breed was.....SUPERMUTT!  Check the photo of his breed results to see the rest his breeds. . George gets along beautifully with other dogs — he’s currently living with five, and it’s nothing but wagging tails and shared toys. He doesn’t guard food or toys, and he’s not a barker (unless he sees something that is really interesting, and then you’ll get a litte woof here and there.  George is house-trained, crate-trained, and sleeps soundly through the night — either snuggled next to your bed or curled up right beside you, if you’re the “dogs on the bed” type. He’s also amazing in the car — calm, quiet, and happy to be along for the ride.  As a matter of fact he LOVES it and accompanies his foster dad to dunkin donuts where he gets a couple little treats if he's a good boy (and he's always a good boy!) George walks nicely on leash and loves his toys, but what really sets George apart is his heart. He can be shy in new situations — the kind of dog who freezes or gently steps back when he’s unsure — but he doesn’t panic. He just needs a moment. And when you give him that moment, something beautiful happens: he leans into you with full trust. And once you earn George’s trust, you’ll never walk alone again. George doesn’t absolutely *need* another dog in the home, but he really really excels and thrives in a pack, so if you're looking to add another to your own pack, this might be the guy for you.  George is ready to find his person. The one who sees past the name and into the kind, quirky, deeply loving dog behind it. If that sounds like you, apply at www.northstarpets.org — and don’t forget to mention George (aka Carolyn's Nickels … it’s complicated, but he’s worth it).November 14, 2025, 4:49 pm

Small white and tan JRT/Chi mix.  5.5 years old. Spayed.  Sandy is not a lap dog.  She definitely prefers to be with other dogs.  Sandy does not like to be picked up, so she is not a lap dog.  Sandy is no trouble just needs a home where people understand her. ##2135982##
