Jack Russell Terrier puppies and dogs in Sandy, Oregon

Meet Buttercup Coconut Toy Story! Meet Buttercup Coconut Toy Story, a tiny puppy currently estimated to be about 3 months old. We believe this little one may be a Lab/Jack Russell Terrier mix, but as with many rescue puppies, her exact breed blend is a mystery. What isn’t a mystery is that she’s absolutely precious. Watch Buttercup in action! With her fluffy white coat, adorable scruffy puppy fur, sweet little face, and the tiniest brown spot near the base of her tail, Buttercup looks like a stuffed animal that wandered out of a toy store and into real life. She’s impossibly cute, wonderfully fluffy, and perfectly puppy-sized. Buttercup is currently thriving in a loving foster home where she’s growing up around dogs, cats, children, and lots of people. Every day is filled with new experiences, cuddles, puppy wrestling matches, and long naps piled up with her siblings. Buttercup has the kind of personality that lights up a room without even trying. She’s a cheerful little social butterfly who loves being wherever the fun is happening. Whether she’s bouncing after her siblings, carrying a toy almost as big as she is, or happily greeting anyone willing to give her attention, she approaches life with a joyful curiosity that’s impossible not to smile at. She’s wonderfully affectionate, too. Buttercup loves to be loved. She happily leans into pets, enjoys being held, and is always ready to curl up beside her people after a busy play session. One minute she’s zooming around with her siblings, and the next she’s snuggled up for a cozy puppy nap like she never had a care in the world. Growing up surrounded by dogs, cats, children, and people of all ages has helped Buttercup become a confident and well-socialized puppy. She’s learning that new friends are exciting, new adventures are fun, and every day brings something worth wagging her tail about. Because Buttercup is still very young, her future family should be prepared for all the joys and responsibilities that come with puppyhood. Training, socialization, patience, and consistency are essential as she grows. We require adopters to begin crate training immediately to help build confidence, establish routine, and support potty training success. Puppies like Buttercup are among the most vulnerable animals in rescue. By choosing adoption, you’re not only changing her life forever, but also helping create space for another puppy who desperately needs a second chance. If you’re looking for a puppy who is equal parts playful sweetheart and professional cuddle bug, one who adores toys, loves making friends, and will happily fill your days with laughter, puppy kisses, and snuggles, Buttercup Coconut Toy Story is ready to steal your heart. https://adopt.animalsfirst.com/animal/62cc8e128b02916730334440/6a207975c4e8fcd466093002 Questions? Meet Toby! This little, but long legged guy came from a hoarding situation out in eastern Washington and is quickly learning that pet life is the best! He is doing great in his foster home so far, but he was a bit timid for the first day or so! He was a bit tense around his foster siblings at first, which we can't blame him for after likely fending off other dogs previously for resources. He was caught having zoomies with his foster sister on day 2, and it was such a nice sight to see! Are you the patient person willing to give this kiddo his second chance? ##2864930##

Jack Russell Terriers are often known for being bright, curious, energetic, confident, and full of personality. They may be small, but they can have plenty of enthusiasm for life. Timber will benefit from a home that provides him with regular opportunities to exercise, explore, play, and use his mind. Daily walks, interactive toys, games, positive-reinforcement training, and plenty of quality time with his family will help keep this young boy happy and fulfilled. Training, Adjustment & What to Expect At only one year old, Timber is still a young dog, so continued training and consistency will be important. Rescue dogs may arrive with basic training at best, and adopters should be prepared to continue working on house manners as needed, leash skills, basic commands, recall, calm greetings, and household boundaries. Jack Russell mixes can be clever and enthusiastic learners. Keeping training positive, engaging, and consistent can help Timber learn what is expected of him while strengthening his relationship with his new family. The 3-3-3 Rule 3 Days to decompress and begin feeling safe 3 Weeks to understand his new household routine 3 Months to fully settle in, build trust, and feel at home These are guidelines rather than deadlines. Timber should be given the time and patience he needs to adjust comfortably. Owner Responsibilities & Veterinary Care Timber's vaccinations are current. His neuter status is currently unknown. His adopter should review his medical records with a veterinarian to confirm his neuter status and determine whether any additional veterinary care is needed. His ongoing care should include routine wellness examinations, recommended vaccinations, flea and parasite prevention, dental care, quality nutrition, healthy weight management, grooming, nail care, and veterinary treatment whenever necessary. Training, Adjustment & What to Expect Many rescue dogs come from very different backgrounds. Some may have previously lived in homes, while others may have come from the streets, overcrowded shelters, neglect situations, or environments where they had little structure or guidance. Because of this, most rescue dogs arrive with only basic training at best, and some may have had no formal training at all. Even dogs who appear well-behaved in foster care or at the rescue are still adjusting and learning. The rescue environment itself also does not always allow for extensive one-on-one training. While we work hard to provide safety, structure, socialization, and basic guidance, adopters should be prepared to continue training and support after adoption. Chilly T will benefit from: Positive reinforcement training Structure and consistency Continued socialization and engagement Mental stimulation and routine Patience during adjustment periods Please remember the 3-3-3 Rule: 3 days to decompress 3 weeks to learn your routine 3 months to fully feel at home With patience, stability, and commitment, rescue dogs often blossom into deeply loyal lifelong companions. Owner Responsibilities & Veterinary Care Owning a dog is a lifelong commitment that includes daily exercise, companionship, routine veterinary care, training, mental stimulation, and financial responsibility. Chilly T will need: Daily walks, exercise, and interaction Continued training and engagement Routine wellness exams and preventative veterinary care A safe, stable, indoor living environment Consistent veterinary care, proper nutrition, preventative care, and emotional stability are all essential to helping him live a healthy and happy life.
