Story
Meet Toby! This little, but long legged guy came from a hoarding situation out in eastern Washington and is quickly learning that pet life is the best! He is doing great in his foster home so far, but he was a bit timid for the first day or so! He was a bit tense around his foster siblings at first, which we can't blame him for after likely fending off other dogs previously for resources. He was caught having zoomies with his foster sister on day 2, and it was such a nice sight to see! Are you the patient person willing to give this kiddo his second chance? ##2864930##

Story
If Buttercup Coconut Toy Story could plan her perfect day, it would probably involve a wide-open space, a few good friends, plenty of opportunities to run as fast as those little legs can carry her, and someone waiting at the finish line with lots of love! This beautiful, fluffy girl has an infectious enthusiasm for life and an affectionate personality that makes spending time with her an absolute pleasure. She's playful, sweet, full of happiness, and more than happy to turn an ordinary afternoon into a wonderful adventure. And when all that excitement is over? Buttercup has plenty of cuddles waiting for her favorite people! Watch Buttercup Coconut Toy Story in action! Buttercup is every bit as lovely in person as she is in pictures. Her beautiful white coat, adorable fluffy appearance, and sweet expression are certainly eye-catching, but it's her personality that leaves the biggest impression. She's incredibly affectionate and enjoys connecting with people. During our time with her, she showed us just how loving, playful, and delightful she really is. There's so much happiness packed into this beautiful girl! One of Buttercup's greatest joys is getting outside and having room to play. She would absolutely love a home where she has opportunities to stretch her legs, enjoy some exercise, and discover just how fast she can really go! Whether that means playing in a securely fenced yard or visiting appropriate places where she can safely run and explore, Buttercup would be thrilled to have an outlet for her playful spirit. Watching her enjoy herself is bound to bring a smile to anyone's face. And here's something especially wonderful about Buttercup: she's great at reading other dogs! She has a lovely ability to recognize the energy of the dogs around her and adjust her own play style accordingly. If another dog is ready for some enthusiastic fun, Buttercup can happily join in. If her companion prefers a calmer interaction, she knows how to dial things back. That social awareness is a wonderful quality and makes her interactions with compatible canine friends especially enjoyable. Buttercup could be a fantastic companion for a family with another friendly dog, or she could happily enjoy being the center of attention as the only dog in her home. Cats, however, aren't a good match for Buttercup, so her future home should be cat-free. With the right environment and opportunities to enjoy her canine friendships, she'll have plenty of ways to socialize and have fun. Buttercup is also great on leash, which makes enjoying the outdoors together even more appealing. She'd love opportunities to explore new places, enjoy walks, and spend time with people who appreciate having a four-legged companion along for the adventure. She's got the enthusiasm for fun and the affectionate nature to make those shared experiences especially rewarding. At home, Buttercup has another wonderful skill already under her belt: she's crate trained! Having an established crate routine gives her a helpful foundation for settling into a new environment. It's especially nice for a playful girl like Buttercup to have a familiar place to relax after a day filled with activity and excitement. What I especially loved about meeting Buttercup was how naturally her playful and affectionate sides came together. She can be full of life one moment, enjoying everything happening around her, and then turn her attention toward the people nearby for some affection. She genuinely enjoys companionship, and her happy personality makes it easy to imagine all the wonderful memories she'll create with her future family. Buttercup has the potential to be a fantastic family companion or adventure buddy. She would especially enjoy a home where her people include her in their activities, provide appropriate outlets for her energy, and appreciate all the love she has to share. A family who enjoys spending time outdoors and then relaxing together at home could be a wonderful match for her. Of course, Buttercup will continue to benefit from positive reinforcement, consistent routines, and opportunities to build on the wonderful skills she's already developing. She's an eager participant in life, and having a family who enjoys guiding her through new experiences will make the journey even more rewarding. It's hard not to get excited about Buttercup's future. She's beautiful, affectionate, playful, socially aware around other dogs, and already has some fantastic household manners. But more than anything, she's simply a lovely dog who deserves a family that will appreciate everything that makes her special. Imagine watching Buttercup race happily across a safe, open space, enjoying an afternoon adventure together, and then ending the day with this sweet girl nearby, soaking up all the affection she can get. There are so many wonderful memories just waiting to happen. Buttercup Coconut Toy Story is ready to find her people, the ones who will cheer her on during her adventures, give her plenty of love, and make sure she always has a place to call home. She's got the joyful spirit, the beautiful personality, and all the affection. Now she just needs someone to share it with! Story
Meet Mr. Potato Tiktak Toy Story! Meet Mr. Potato Tiktak Toy Story, a tiny puppy currently estimated to be about 5 months old. We believe this little one may be a Jack Russell Terrier/Rat Terrier mix, but as with many rescue puppies, his exact breed blend is a mystery. What isn’t a mystery is that he’s ridiculously cute. Watch Mr. Potato and his siblings in their video! https://youtu.be/zv1xI6w6QDQ?si=Zh_erTHktJ4bhzas With his adorable tri-colored face, expressive puppy eyes, tiny floppy ears, and bright white coat, Mr. Potato looks like he was designed by a committee whose only goal was maximum cuteness. He even looks like he’s permanently posing for school picture day in his little bow tie. Mr. Potato is currently growing up in a loving foster home surrounded by dogs, cats, children, and lots of people. Because of this, he’s getting an incredible start to life and learning that the world is a wonderful place full of friends, adventures, toys, and snacks. Mr. Potato has never met a stranger—only future best friends. Whether you’re a kid ready to play, another dog looking for a wrestling buddy, or an adult with open arms, he’s all in. He has a happy, people-loving personality that makes him the kind of puppy who wants to be wherever the fun is happening. If everyone is gathered in one room, you can bet Mr. Potato will be right in the middle of it. He’s a playful little guy with a big love for toys and puppy games. He happily bounces around with his siblings, starts playful wrestling matches, and proudly carries toys around as if he’s showing off his latest prize. His joyful energy is contagious, and he somehow manages to make even the simplest moments feel like a celebration. As much as he loves to play, Mr. Potato is equally devoted to cuddle time. Being held is one of his favorite things in the world, and he’s perfectly content to melt into your arms after a busy day of adventures. He especially adores children and seems to naturally gravitate toward them, happily accepting pets, snuggles, and all the attention they have to offer. Growing up with dogs, cats, children, and people of all ages has helped Mr. Potato become a wonderfully social and confident puppy. He’s learning that the world is full of kind people, exciting adventures, and endless opportunities to love and be loved. Like all young puppies, Mr. Potato will need a family committed to training, socialization, patience, and consistency. We require adopters to begin crate training immediately to help build confidence, establish routine, and support potty training success as he grows. Puppies like Mr. Potato are among the most vulnerable animals in rescue. By choosing adoption, you’re not only changing his life forever, but you’re also helping create space for another puppy who desperately needs a second chance. If you’re looking for a puppy who believes every child is a playmate, every toy is worth celebrating, every dog is a friend, and every cuddle should last just a little longer, Mr. Potato Tiktak Toy Story is ready to become the happiest little member of your family.   Meet Mickey A Little Dog With a Big Personality and a Heart Full of Happiness! Breed: Jack Russell Terrier Mix Gender: Male | Age: 1 Year DOB: October 23, 2025 (Estimated) Weight: 9 lbs Good With: Dogs ✔️ | Kids ✔️ | Cats: Unknown Personality: Happy | Playful | Energetic | Fun-Loving | Friendly Medical: Neutered ✔️ | Vaccinations Up to Date ✔️ | Microchip: Not Provided Location: Los Angeles, California Transportation: Safe transportation coordinated for approved adopters throughout the United States. ❤️ Personality & Breed Information Meet Mickey, an adorable 1-year-old Jack Russell Terrier mix weighing just 9 pounds! This handsome little guy may be small in size, but he has a big personality and a wonderful enthusiasm for life. Mickey is a happy, playful boy who loves having fun and is ready to bring laughter, excitement, and companionship into someone's home. With his cheerful personality and youthful energy, he's a wonderful candidate for a family looking for a small dog with plenty of spirit. At just one year old, Mickey is entering young adulthood. He's moved beyond the earliest stages of puppyhood but still has lots of energy, curiosity, and opportunities to learn new things. Whether he's enjoying playtime, exploring his surroundings, or spending time with his favorite people, Mickey has the potential to become a wonderful lifelong companion. About the Jack Russell Terrier Breed Jack Russell Terriers are known for their intelligence, athleticism, curiosity, confidence, and lively personalities. Originally developed as working terriers, these small dogs were bred to be energetic, determined, and quick-thinking. As a Jack Russell Terrier mix, Mickey may share several typical breed characteristics: Playful and energetic: Jack Russells often enjoy interactive games, regular walks, and opportunities to explore. Intelligent and curious: They are often quick learners who benefit from positive reinforcement and mental stimulation. Affectionate and loyal: Many develop strong bonds with their families and enjoy spending time with their favorite people. Confident and spirited: Despite their small size, Jack Russells often have bold personalities and plenty of enthusiasm. Active and athletic: They typically enjoy activities that keep both their minds and bodies engaged. Mickey's future family should understand that small dogs still need regular exercise, training, and mental enrichment. Although he weighs only 9 pounds, Mickey may have the energy and determination commonly associated with terrier breeds. His ideal home will provide daily walks, interactive playtime, positive training, and plenty of companionship. Mickey is proof that happiness doesn't come in one size. Sometimes, it comes in a tiny 9-pound package with a big personality! Training, Adjustment & What to Expect At one year old, Mickey is a young adult who will benefit from continued training, positive socialization, and a consistent daily routine. Rescue dogs may arrive with basic training at best, so adopters should be prepared to continue working on house training if needed, leash manners, basic obedience, recall, appropriate chewing, calm greetings, and household boundaries. Because Jack Russell Terriers are intelligent and can be independent thinkers, Mickey will benefit from positive reinforcement, patience, consistency, and short, engaging training sessions. Interactive toys, puzzle feeders, scent games, and supervised outdoor activities can help keep his curious mind occupied. Exercise & Daily Activities Mickey may enjoy activities such as: Daily walks and opportunities to explore new environments. Interactive games and supervised playtime. Positive reinforcement training with treats and praise. Puzzle toys and enrichment activities. Spending quality time with his family. Despite his small size, Mickey should not be expected to spend all day indoors without exercise or stimulation. A balanced routine that includes physical activity, mental enrichment, and relaxation will help him thrive. Living With Other Pets Mickey is considered suitable for homes with other dogs and children, with appropriate introductions and supervision. His compatibility with cats has not yet been confirmed. Jack Russell Terriers can have strong chasing instincts because of their working-dog background, so introductions to cats and other small animals should be approached carefully. Because Mickey weighs only 9 pounds, interactions with larger dogs and young children should also be supervised to help prevent accidental injury. The 3-3-3 Rule Every rescue dog needs time to adjust to a new environment. 3 Days: Time to decompress, observe his surroundings, and begin feeling safe. 3 Weeks: Time to understand his new household routine, build confidence, and become more comfortable. 3 Months: Time to strengthen his bond with his family, settle into daily life, and begin feeling truly at home. These are general guidelines rather than strict deadlines. Every dog adjusts at their own pace. Mickey deserves a family who will provide patience, encouragement, structure, and reassurance as he settles into his forever home. Owner Responsibilities & Veterinary Care Mickey is neutered and up to date on his vaccinations, making him ready to begin the next chapter of his life with a loving family. His future adopters should continue providing regular veterinary care and preventive healthcare throughout his life. As a small Jack Russell Terrier mix, Mickey will need: High-quality nutrition appropriate for his age, size, and activity level. Regular veterinary examinations to monitor his overall health. Daily exercise and interactive playtime to support his physical and mental well-being. Dental care, which is particularly important for small dogs that may be more susceptible to dental disease. Routine grooming and nail maintenance for his comfort and health. Consistent flea, tick, and parasite prevention as recommended by his veterinarian. Continued training and mental enrichment to keep him happy and engaged. A safe, secure home environment with appropriate supervision during outdoor activities. Important Small-Breed Considerations Because Mickey weighs only 9 pounds, his family should be mindful of his small size. Small dogs can be vulnerable to accidental injuries from falls, rough handling, or interactions with much larger animals. His future family should also monitor his weight carefully, as even small amounts of excess weight can affect a little dog's joints and overall health. Jack Russell mixes may be prone to certain orthopedic concerns, including kneecap problems such as patellar luxation. Regular veterinary examinations can help identify any potential issues early. Adopting Mickey is a lifelong commitment that includes providing proper nutrition, veterinary care, training, exercise, safety, companionship, and unconditional love. Adoption Information If you are interested in adopting Mickey, please complete an adoption application: https://www.ozzieandfriendsrescue.org/adoptions Ozzie and Friends Rescue is a Los Angeles-based nonprofit dedicated to rescuing dogs in need and helping them find safe, loving forever homes. While based in Southern California, we coordinate safe transportation for approved adopters throughout the United States. Our goal is to give every dog the best possible chance of finding the right family and a home where they will be loved and cared for throughout their lives. Adopting Mickey means committing to his continued training, veterinary care, exercise, safety, companionship, and lifelong happiness. Mickey may weigh just 9 pounds, but he has a personality big enough to fill an entire home with happiness! This playful, cheerful little boy is ready for a lifetime of adventures, fun-filled afternoons, and wonderful memories with a family of his own. Whether he's exploring the world on his tiny paws or simply enjoying being part of the family, Mickey is ready to bring joy into someone's life. All he needs now is a loving home where he'll be cherished, protected, and adored forever. Could Mickey be the little best friend you've been waiting for? October 27, 2026, 10:47 am
