Story
Lita is located in TEXAS. There are not enough homes for all the unwanted dogs down there, so she is willing to relocate for a good, loving, forever home. We know that Lita is a wire-haired Jack Russell Terrier mix. She is just over 1 year of age and she weighs 21 pounds. Lita also has an adorable head tilt. She is sweet, active, and playful. She loves to be cuddled and petted. At first, Lita was terrified of the other dogs, but now she loves to run and play with all of the other dogs. Lita does like to chase cats. Lita is a JRT, she is very smart, and she will jump a 4'-5' fence or gate to go chase a squirrel or cat. She must have a secure 6' fence to prevent escape. We put a training collar on her for about a week and she quickly learned to stay in the yard and to come when called. Lita is crate-trained and will run and get in her crate when it is time to do so. She obviously received no training from the person who previously had her, but she is very smart and learns quickly. Lita may need more work with housetraining and her house manners have gotten much better - she no longer chews on things that she is not supposed to. Lita must be in the house as a loved member of the family. She must be walked on a leash and must have a secure, 6-foot-tall fenced yard to run and play. Lita is healthy. She is spayed, tattooed, fully vaccinated (DAPPvL2, Bordatella, rabies), and microchipped. She is negative for heartworms and receives monthly heartworm and flea prevention. Litas' adoption fee includes the cost of ground transport to Vancouver WA She is located in Texas and cannot be transported until after she is adopted. Story
Cowgirl is a lovely little momma dog we rescued out of California when she came into a shelter pregnant. Cowgirl has taken wonderful care of all her puppies who have now been adopted and it's her turn for a happy home. - Cowgirl did have a large bladder stone surgically removed on 5/6/24 and will need to remain on a urinary prescription kibble/wet food diet for life to prevent any additional stone from forming. We are seeking an adopter for her that will commit to keeping her on this prescription diet. So long as she stays on the diet, no future stones to occur. - 20lbs and approximately 4 years old - Possibly a Jack Russell Terrier/Chihuahua mix. She is so unique with her big ears and stubby little low rider legs! - Sweet, gentle, affectionate, cuddly and loves people - Medium to lower energy - Knows how to use a doggie door and has been good with her potty habits - Good with other dogs and is fostered with 4 other adult dogs. - Stayed a day in a temporary foster with cats and didn't bother them at all. Cowgirl is spayed, vaccinated, microchipped, heartworm tested negative, dewormed, current on flea/tick/heartworm prevention. Her adoption fee also includes a free wellness exam at one of our partner veterinary clinics in Oregon City, Portland, Milwaukie or Tualatin. $300 adoption fee Fostered in Milwaukie, Oregon APPLY TO ADOPT COWGIRL: WWW.AGAVEDOGS.ORG

Story
Xander is loving, and loyal, the very best cuddler and adventure buddy! He loves going on hikes and road trips, and learning new things. We are seeking to rehome him because as a busy family with social young adults and cats his need for management around strangers (and the cats!) puts an unfair stress on all of us. His ideal home would be one that enjoys training: tricks, scent work, cooperative care, etc. and doesn’t have too many strangers coming and going from the house. He bonds deeply and loves unconditionally. He is extremely emotionally attuned and naturally alerts me when I’m becoming anxious. Veterinary care is up to date. Xander has Addison’s Disease which requires life long daily medication, a monthly injection, and twice per year labs. He has reactivity to people and dogs which is manageable due to his size and training. He has snapped and nipped at people with the triggers being guarding his “person” and handling sensitivities. No one has ever been harmed

Story
Bonded Pair! Both Frank and Howie are amazing, and house trained - Although they do get excited and jump up for the first minute or 2 when we get home. Because of this, they may do better with kids who are a bit bigger/with someone who is able to train them away from that. It passes quickly though, and they are just excited! Unfortunately, with our special needs son, and my husbands horrendous allergies, we need to rehome them. They love to play, run, and absolutely love cuddles. Both will sit, Frank will shake, they love to play fetch - although they struggle to bring it back sometimes. Haha Frank is 6, Howie is 3. Unsure of what Howie is exactly, I call him my Pumba! We were told Frank was a mini Aussie, not so much. They are loved dearly, and we want them to go to a home where they will be cherished, loved, and well cared for! Hoping to find their forever home, and keep these boys together.
