Story
PLEASE NOTE! Unless stated otherwise, our dogs and puppies are located in Arkansas, and transported to the north/northeast once adopted. We do occasionally have dogs/puppies placed in foster homes in the north/northeast. In the cases where the pet is somewhere other than Arkansas, it will be noted beside the name of the pet.Meet Charlie (female). She is a small breed, we aren't sure her mix but we're thinking possibly Jack Russell, Corgi, Australian Cattle Dog? We believe she is 3-4 years old.    She gets along well with other dogs. She's little bit nervous with new people at first. She has just started at the Arkansas Paws in Prison program where we hope she will gain some confidence.   In her foster home, she had a habit of slipping past her foster family and bolting out the door. She comes back but only when she's ready. She needs to work on her recall and her habit of bolting. We are hopeful the trainers at Paws in Prison can work with her on that!   Her foster mom says Charlie is “super loveable and loves to cuddle.” Now, that’s a ringing endorsement!    Unfortunately, Charlie is heartworm positive so she will be undergoing treatment for this. She is spayed and UTD on vaccinations.    Paws in prison is an amazing program where dogs are paired with inmates whom they are with 24/7 for 8 weeks. The inmates work with the dogs everyday on basic training, basic obedience, house training, leash training, etc. and even some tricks! They meet weekly with a certified dog trainer. This is a wonderful program and so beneficial for the dogs and the inmates! Charlie will graduate from Paws in Prison in August.    Located in Arkansas, but transport is available. Adopter must be able to pick up or arrange for someone to pick up for them at one of the following times/locations. Harrisburg, PA 2am Fridays Port Jervis, NY 5am Fridays Southington, CT 8am Fridays East Hartford, CT 11am Fridays  To apply, please fill out the adoption app: https://form.jotform.com/212690945239059 email apps.aasr@gmail.com with any questions.  Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.Our typical adoption fee for puppies younger than 6 months old is $400, and for older puppies and adults, the usual fee is $350. This includes microchip, spay/neuter,  up to date on age appropriate vaccinations, dewormings, flea/tick treatment, and heartworm test (if over 6 months old) as well as heartworm treatment if they test positive. There is a transport fee of $150 per dog, depending on the transporter. We use Pack Leaders Rescue Dog Transport most often, but also use Hearts Transport as well on occasion. Story
If you are in search of a loving, yet active little dog, then you have found just the right girl!  Bonnie is a young, one year old, 18 pound, Jack Russell who is spunky and happy and oh so cuddly.  She is the total package of smart, quick to learn, and easy to love.  Bonnie is a little shy when you first meet her, but we guarantee she will warm up fast. She loves to play with other dogs and pull out all the toys at the foster home. And what a cuddle bug she is who longs to be someone’s very special little girl.  She is still working on her house training, but is crate trained for short periods.  No, 8 hour long crate time will work for her.  As you can imagine with an active dog, a fenced in yard would work best.  Bonnie would also love to have her new family home most of the time because she loves her people.  We are recommending that she be with an active family as she loves to see new sights and is ready for travel adventures and car rides.  She is on the go and ready to love you!  Bonnie is your girl if you are checking all her boxes.  Please write to ccrtennessee@gmail.com if you are interested.  Please mention where you live:  city and state.  She is currently in Nashville, Tn with Critter Cavalry Rescue and we transport to the northeast on weekend.       PLEASE NOTE:  Our dogs are transported from Tennessee to meeting places in the states where we have posted.  Further information about us is given on our Adopt-A-Pet site.  The adoption fees vary and will be provided as well as noted on the application you receive.  Contact us at 615-661-5333 or ccrnewengland@gmail.comMay 11, 2025, 10:23 pm

Story
Meet Fergie – A Pocket-Sized Bundle of Love and Joy!    Say hello to Fergie, a nine-week-old sweetheart with the softest fur, the brightest eyes, and a personality that’s every bit as adorable as her looks! Weighing in at just 3 pounds, this precious little pup is expected to stay small—likely topping out at around 15 pounds or less when fully grown. But don’t let her tiny size fool you—Fergie has a big heart and an even bigger love for life!   Whether she’s hopping around like a frog in the grass or playing with her favorite toys and her brother, Peanut, Fergie’s joyful spirit shines through in everything she does. She’s curious, spunky, and has the kind of playful energy that’ll keep you smiling all day long.   When the fun winds down, Fergie’s favorite place is cuddled up with her people. Her foster mom, Lauren, says she’s a total snugglebug and already a pro at melting hearts. She's crate trained, working on potty routines, and eager to learn and please.   This little girl is the total package—cuddly, playful, gentle, and just waiting to find a forever home where she can share all the love she has to give. Her foster mom says it best: “She’s going to be a treasure for some lucky family.”   If you’re ready to add a pint-sized ray of sunshine to your life, reach out to Critter Cavalry Rescue at ccrtennessee@gmail.com to learn more about adopting Fergie.   Get ready to fall in love—this tiny girl is pure magic!   PLEASE NOTE:  Our dogs are transported from Tennessee to meeting places in the states where we have posted.  Further information about us is given on our Adopt-A-Pet site.  The adoption fees vary and will be provided as well as noted on the application you receive.  Contact us at 615-661-5333 or ccrnewengland@gmail.comJune 18, 2025, 9:10 pm

Story
When you love the Jack Russell breed of dog then you try to find that pure love to adopt.  Well Clyde is a very sweet dog but yet he is the shy type that will be oh so loving of a boy that will make you feel like you the most special person in the world.  He is just a year old and 17 pounds and he loves to play with toys that squeak and crunch. He is an active Jack Russell breed that needs a fenced in yard so he can run around and play with others safely. When it comes to cuddles….we all love that with our dogs, Clyde gives you the best cuddles that results when you “sit” he wants to be in your lap.  We will admit that he is not totally house trained and so that is a work in progress. He is crate trained as long as not being left for long hours cause of his age.   He walks on a leash as amateur but worked with it. He loves to go for long walks and see new things.   When it comes to feeling secure with a family, he is Ok with children who are respectable and who want to give him gentle and loving hugs. The Jack Russell breed is an active and vibrant one of colorful moods and playful antics.  They can be loving and snuggly and then zooming around the backyard with the energy that you wish you still had in your body.  They are invigorating and challenging to kind of up your anty so to speak.  They can help  you be more determined every day to be more focused and productive.   We love the active dogs that bring a zest to the pace of life and an intelligence that will keep you thinking great thoughts and making great strides in life.  If you are interested in Clyde the Slyde… please email at ccrtennessee@gmail.com and let us know where you live and a little more about yourself and why a JRT like Clyde is right up your alley!   PLEASE NOTE:  Our dogs are transported from Tennessee to meeting places in the states where we have posted.  Further information about us is given on our Adopt-A-Pet site.  The adoption fees vary and will be provided as well as noted on the application you receive.  Contact us at 615-661-5333 or ccrnewengland@gmail.comMarch 14, 2025, 8:28 pm
