Story
Roscoe is a precious boy who is looking for a special home with patient humans as he is learning that the world isn't all scary. He has made great progress in his foster home! For the first couple of weeks, he mostly stayed glued to the couch where he felt safest, and he gradually settled in and became more comfortable. He is now a happy boy who loves to snuggle with his foster mom and play with toys! He also give occasional kisses. He is still scared with new people and in new situations and will take time to settle in to a new home. Roscoe is house trained and does fine sleeping in his crate at night, though he prefers to sleep in bed with his human or in a dog bed nearby. He is generally quiet and rarely barks. He's a great work from home companion and is happy to lounge or chew on a nylabone toy for most of the day with a break for some time to run around and play outside. His foster mom thinks he is pretty perfect! He gets along with the other dogs in his foster home - he let them sniff him when he arrived and since then, they have mostly ignored each other. He might like to play with another dog, but the dogs in his foster home are grumpy seniors so he respects their space. Roscoe doesn't ask for much - he just wants to be safe and loved by humans who don't expect too much of him as settles in and continues to gain confidence. He is easily startled by unexpected noises and movements and would do best in a quiet, calm, and secure home. Roscoe is in our Meet Me Program: Dogs featured in our Meet Me Program are participating simply because their foster or a dedicated volunteer is willing and able to take part—this is not based on breed, personality, behavior, or how long a dog has been waiting for a home. Because Mostly Muttz Rescue does not have a physical shelter location, this program allows adopters to connect directly with the people who know each dog best. It’s a great opportunity to ask questions, learn more about daily life with the dog, and even schedule an individual meet & greet at an approved location—either before applying or while your application is pending. To get started, email meet_me@mostlymuttz.org with your contact information, and the dog’s foster or volunteer will be in touch. Story
Meet Sparky Sparky may technically be a senior, but no one told him that. This happy-go-lucky little guy still loves his walks, does great on a leash, and is always ready to see what the day has in store. He’s the kind of dog who just wants to be by your side—your shadow, your walking buddy, your “what are we doing next?” pal. Sparky is friendly with other dogs, ridiculously cute (like, unfairly cute), and has an easygoing, joyful personality that makes him a pleasure to have around. He’s not asking for much—just a comfy spot to relax, some daily strolls, and people to call his own. He’s also crate trained and rides great in the car. If you’re looking for a sweet, loyal companion who still has plenty of pep but also appreciates the simple things, Sparky might be your guy. Seniors are one of rescue’s best-kept secrets—and Sparky is ready to prove it. Sparky is currently being fostered in Pottstown, PA and will be available to go to his forever home on or after March 14, 2026. Note: Sparky is currently undergoing heartworm treatment. The rescue will walk his adopter through the treatment plan, which currently includes a simple pill 2x daily. Mostly Muttz RescuePO Box 406, Gilbertsville, PA 19525PA Kennel License 10872 ##2649422##

Story
Meet Lewis & Clark! These two adventurous 3‑month‑old Jack Russell Terrier mixes were recently surrendered by a commercial breeder when they didn’t sell—but their fresh start begins now. Lewis and Clark are everything puppies should be: - Sweet and affectionate - Happy, wiggly, and full of tail wags - Curious about every new sight and sound - Active, playful, and always ready for fun With their bright eyes and bouncy energy, they’re looking for equally active families who can keep up with their zest for life. Long walks, play sessions, puppy training, and plenty of enrichment will help them grow into well‑rounded adult dogs. Although they came in together, Lewis and Clark will not be adopted as a pair. Each pup is ready to bond deeply with their own forever family. If you’re searching for a lovable, spirited companion to join you on life’s adventures, one of these boys might be your perfect match! They will come with age appropriate vaccines, neutered and microchipped. Apply today at: www.phoenixanimalrescue.com Their adoption fee is $525. Story
hi Benji Boy! This happy boy is a 4 yr old, approx. 22 lbs. Jack Russell Terrier. He was found as a stray and brought to the local animal control shelter. Sadly, his owner declined to reclaim him so we scooped him up for the rescue. Beni Boy, true to his breed, is a happy and energetic pup! He is a true life of a party - always excited to see our volunteers, eager to explore and spend time in the play-yards. He will bring lots of laughter and joy to his forever home. He will come neutered, vaccinated, microchipped. Benji Boy had good dog meets in the animal control shelter and he would need to meet any resident dogs. If you are serious about adoption, please fill out the adoption application on our website www.phoenixanimalrescue.com. His adoption fee is $475.
