Story
There’s something so special about Shania — something that can’t quite be captured in a photo. At just 9 months old and 12 pounds, this Parsons Terrier/Westie mix has already been through more than most dogs her age, yet she radiates quiet hope and sweetness. When you first meet her, she may hang back a little, unsure of what to expect. But once she realizes you’re kind, she softens — her tail gives a shy wag, and her eyes begin to sparkle. You can almost see her heart opening up as she learns to trust. That’s Shania’s magic — she doesn’t just love; she chooses you, one gentle moment at a time. Shania loves other dogs and would thrive in a home where she can have a friendly canine companion or calm human friends to help her continue to blossom. She’d do best with older children or adults, as younger ones have been unkind to her in the past. She deserves a peaceful, loving home where she can feel safe and cherished. She’s fully vetted, spayed, and ready to begin her new life — one filled with kindness, stability, and love. Shania’s foster family says everyone who meets her is captivated by her tender personality and soulful spirit. This little treasure is ready to start fresh and discover what it feels like to be truly loved. If you can give her that gift, she’ll return it tenfold. Please contact Critter Cavalry Rescue at ccrnewengland@gmail.com to learn more about adopting Shania. She’s in Tennessee and can travel north on one of our weekend transports. PLEASE NOTE:  Our dogs are transported from Tennessee to meeting places in the states where we have posted.  Further information about us is given on our Adopt-A-Pet site.  The adoption fees vary and will be provided as well as noted on the application you receive.  Contact us at 615-661-5333 or ccrnewengland@gmail.comMarch 17, 2026, 12:01 pm

Story
Meet Nando! 🐾😍 Nando is a 4 month old Jack Russell Terrier mix expected to stay on the smaller side, around 25–30 lbs full grown. He’s the perfect mix of sweet, funny, and cuddly, with a playful personality that will keep you smiling. Nando recently had a minor eye procedure, so you may notice a little swelling as he continues to heal, but he’s doing great and doesn’t let it slow him down. Nando is both crate trained and house trained, making him an easy addition to a home. He does wonderful with kids, cats, and other dogs, and has a well-rounded, friendly personality that fits in just about anywhere. He loves to be close to his people and is always happy to snuggle up after some playtime. He is neutered, up to date on vaccinations, and ready to find a forever family to call his own ❤️

Story
Roscoe is a precious boy who is looking for a special home with patient humans as he is learning that the world isn't all scary. He has made great progress in his foster home! For the first couple of weeks, he mostly stayed glued to the couch where he felt safest, and he gradually settled in and became more comfortable. He is now a happy boy who loves to snuggle with his foster mom and play with toys! He also give occasional kisses. He is still scared with new people and in new situations and will take time to settle in to a new home. Roscoe is house trained and does fine sleeping in his crate at night, though he prefers to sleep in bed with his human or in a dog bed nearby. He is generally quiet and rarely barks. He's a great work from home companion and is happy to lounge or chew on a nylabone toy for most of the day with a break for some time to run around and play outside. His foster mom thinks he is pretty perfect! He gets along with the other dogs in his foster home - he let them sniff him when he arrived and since then, they have mostly ignored each other. He might like to play with another dog, but the dogs in his foster home are grumpy seniors so he respects their space. Roscoe doesn't ask for much - he just wants to be safe and loved by humans who don't expect too much of him as settles in and continues to gain confidence. He is easily startled by unexpected noises and movements and would do best in a quiet, calm, and secure home. Roscoe is in our Meet Me Program: Dogs featured in our Meet Me Program are participating simply because their foster or a dedicated volunteer is willing and able to take part—this is not based on breed, personality, behavior, or how long a dog has been waiting for a home. Because Mostly Muttz Rescue does not have a physical shelter location, this program allows adopters to connect directly with the people who know each dog best. It’s a great opportunity to ask questions, learn more about daily life with the dog, and even schedule an individual meet & greet at an approved location—either before applying or while your application is pending. To get started, email meet_me@mostlymuttz.org with your contact information, and the dog’s foster or volunteer will be in touch. Story
Meet Sparky Sparky may technically be a senior, but no one told him that. This happy-go-lucky little guy still loves his walks, does great on a leash, and is always ready to see what the day has in store. He’s the kind of dog who just wants to be by your side—your shadow, your walking buddy, your “what are we doing next?” pal. Sparky is friendly with other dogs, ridiculously cute (like, unfairly cute), and has an easygoing, joyful personality that makes him a pleasure to have around. He’s not asking for much—just a comfy spot to relax, some daily strolls, and people to call his own. He’s also crate trained and rides great in the car. If you’re looking for a sweet, loyal companion who still has plenty of pep but also appreciates the simple things, Sparky might be your guy. Seniors are one of rescue’s best-kept secrets—and Sparky is ready to prove it. Sparky is currently being fostered in Pottstown, PA and will be available to go to his forever home on or after March 14, 2026. Also, his adoption fee is fully sponsored thanks to a generous donation!  Note: Sparky is currently undergoing heartworm treatment. The rescue will walk his adopter through the treatment plan, which currently includes a simple pill 2x daily.
