Story
Meet Pete, a super handsome one-year-old, 40 lb. Labradoodle mix who was recently saved from a horrible situation. He, along with four other dogs, were rescued from a hoarding/breeding situation in NYC. The dogs were severely neglected, unsocialized, and hadn’t even been let outdoors since they were born. The fosters, who are located in New Jersey, have made tremendous progress with Pete and he’s finally ready to find his furever home! Despite such a rough upbringing, Pete is such a happy dog who wants nothing more than to be with his people. He’s very affectionate and a great cuddler! Pete loves going on adventures, whether it be for a hike, a drive around town, or a visit to the park. He is a young, active, and energetic dog who requires adequate exercise, playtime, and enrichment – he walks remarkably well on leash considering he has never been trained. Pete is great with other dogs and would be happiest with another pup. He has never been around cats but does have a parrot foster sibling. His ideal home would be one with an active family, fenced yard, and another doggie friend to play with. The fosters say that Pete is one of the nicest, sweetest, and well-mannered dogs they’ve ever had the pleasure of knowing. He is a very good boy who has shown remarkable growth over the past two months. He is mostly housetrained and listens well and fast. He does get frightened easily outside at night time which just requires a little patience and care to calm him down. While he’s a doodle-type breed, Pete sheds mildly and benefits from frequent brushing. His hair does not seem to grow that fast, or get tangled, and is generally easy to keep groomed. His adoption fee is $400 and Pete is vaccinated, microchipped, heartworm negative, and neutered. If you are interested in adopting this sweetheart, please complete the application at form.jotform.com/200883908893166. For questions, email info@happilyfureverafter.org.

Story
This adorable boy is Cash. He is a one-year-old labradoodle and weighs 53 lb. His foster says "Cash is a super sweet dog with a very relaxed personality who loves to be in proximity of his people and fellow dogs. He responds to his name and is a master of snuggles and puppy dog eyes. He seems fully housetrained. He can be timid at first but takes the lead from our dogs on behavior and confidence for car rides to get pup cups! Cash loves to be involved and has become an alert dog who barks when he sees visitors but will stop when we ask him to. Cash loves walks on his leash and is a gentle boy who doesn't pull. Cash is a handsome boy who will need regularly grooming and will be a gift to whoever gives him a forever home." Cash would do great in a home with children of all ages and would love to have a dog companion to run around and play with. We don't know what he thinks of cats, but can "cat-test" him if needed. Cash will be a great dog for someone looking for a calm and friendly family dog. Cash is neutered, microchipped, vaccinated, healthy and ready for adoption now! His adoption fee is $395. If you would like to meet/adopt Cash, please complete our online application at https://daws.org/daws-forms. Email daws@daws.org if you need assistance or have any questions.

Story
Meet Oreo! Oreo is a handsome LabraDoodle that weighs 45 pounds and is 1 year old. Oreo has a true love for life that he is happy to show to anyone that will let him! He loves to run and play and has lots of energy to do those things with. Since Oreo does have lots of energy it would be best if he is in a home with no young children unless the time is given right away to have a trainer work on jumping. He really loves the littles but is just a big goofball and may accidently knock them over and hurt them. Oreo has done really well with the other dogs he has met as long as they don't mind dogs that really like to play with them, he may be a bit much for a very low energy dog. Oreo knows a leash and has done well but could still use just a little practice with that and with potty training, but does do really well in a crate. Interested in becoming a forever home for Oreodoodle? Fill out our online adoption application: http://www.friendswithfourpaws.org/adoption-form.html This is the first step in our process, and we don't go any further without an application. Find more adoptable pets, news and information on Instagram @friendswithfourpaws or our Facebook page Friends with Four Paws . We put a lot of time and energy into processing our adoptions to find our babies the best fit home for them and you. Please do not submit an application if you are not serious about adopting Oreodoodle. We are so excited to work with you to find you a new forever friend, and Oreodoodle the perfect forever home, and appreciate you working with us. Our adoption fee is $525. This includes their spay/neuter surgery, full (age appropriate) vaccinations, microchip insertion and registration, deworming, heartworm testing and prevention, flea and tick prevention and travel expenses. All of our dogs are rescued from local shelters and the general public. Each dog is then placed in a foster home where he/she is kept for quarantine, to ensure if the dog gets sick it can receive proper treatment. We have foster homes in the NJ/NY area waiting to receive their fosters. Once an animal has received an application or there's an adopter interested, we make arrangements for transport. If a dog is already in foster care in NYC/NJ, an adopter will be put in touch with the foster home AFTER an application is being processed. Thank you in advance for your patience with our process and for making adoption YOUR option!
