Story
Meet Jazzy! Some dogs thrive in the middle of the action, while others are happiest enjoying life's quieter moments. Jazzy is one of those special souls. This beautiful 2-year-old, 35lb Labradoodle found herself surrendered to an overcrowded shelter where the unfamiliar sights, sounds, and constant activity left her feeling scared and overwhelmed. Thankfully, a loving foster home has given her the chance to decompress, and with patience and kindness, her true personality has begun to shine. Jazzy is a sweet, gentle girl who enjoys a peaceful lifestyle and would be happiest in an active adult home that also offers a calm, predictable environment. Once she knows and trusts you, she greets familiar faces with excitement, happily seeking pets, affection, and quality time with her favorite people. Watching her confidence grow has been incredibly rewarding, and she continues to blossom a little more each day. Having previously been the only furry family member, Jazzy is accustomed to having her own space. She has met other dogs and has done well with calm, respectful companions who aren't constantly in her face. While she can peacefully coexist with the right canine friend, she's equally content doing her own thing. She has not yet had the opportunity to meet cats. Jazzy has demonstrated a good understanding of house manners and is currently working on crate training. She isn't destructive when left alone, so she may not necessarily require a crate in her future home. Like many dogs who haven't experienced much of the outside world, leash walks can still feel intimidating, and she's continuing to build her confidence. Because of this, a securely fenced physical yard will be required so she can safely enjoy the outdoors while she gains confidence. She is not a suitable candidate for an invisible fence or tether. As a Labradoodle, Jazzy will require routine professional grooming and regular coat maintenance to keep her looking and feeling her best. Jazzy isn't looking for perfection—just a patient, understanding family willing to let her continue discovering how wonderful life can be. In return, she'll reward you with quiet companionship, unwavering loyalty, and a lifetime of unconditional love. If you're ready to give this gentle girl the forever home she deserves, Jazzy can't wait to meet you. We process applications ONLY - there is no guarantee that you will get a response to an inquiry. Many of the animals in our foster program come to us with limited or unknown histories. We make every effort to evaluate each animal’s temperament and behavior, including testing their interactions with other dogs, cats, and children (defined as individuals under the age of 18, when available). However, every animal is unique—just as every child and household environment is different. While we strive to set both our foster animals and adoptive families up for success through thorough assessments and transparent communication, **we cannot guarantee any specific behavioral outcome**. Animals can be unpredictable by nature, and behavior may change in new environments or over time. By proceeding with adoption or foster placement, applicants acknowledge and accept this inherent risk and agree that no guarantees, either expressed or implied, are made regarding the temperament or behavior of any animal placed through our program. Story
Introducing Madeline!! This gorgeous little gal was added to the euthanasia list at a local shelter after only 2 days because she was so scared she wouldn't walk on a leash. Thankfully a wonderful family stepped up to foster her, saving her life with only minutes to spare. Now in a home Maddie is thriving and loving every minute of it. Maddy is a good girl with the softest fur. She is doing great with potty and kennel training and loves attention. She walks well on leash and rides nicely in the car ready for your next adventure. She likes all dogs and cats she has met with proper introductions and would love a friendly fur sibling in her forever home. Although she’s blossoming in a home environment, it’s clear Maddy hasn’t had the easiest start in life. Sadly, stray dogs are sometimes treated very poorly, and we suspect she may have experienced that kind of cruelty before she was rescued. She warms up quickly to adults and older kids, but around smaller children she becomes very frightened and will retreat to a corner shaking. With patience, kindness, and positive experiences, we hope she can continue to build confidence, but she will need a family committed to helping her work through those fears. Madeline is estimated to be about 9 months old and currently weighs 40 lbs. We expect she’ll grow into the perfect medium-large sized companion. She has so much love to give, and we can’t wait to find her the forever home she deserves, one that will continue to socialize her, provide training and exercise, and help her grow into the amazing dog she’s meant to be. She may have had a difficult start, but Madeline’s future is bright. Maddie is being fostered in Houston Texas but is available for adoption many places around the country. Her adoption fee of $600 includes the cost of transport. If you think Madeline is your next best friend apply today: https://www.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/DSTR/Dog

Story
Meet Oliver or as we call him, Ollie! Ollie’s journey hasn’t been easy. When he was first rescued, he was nearly hairless and suffering from painful, mange ridden skin (see last photo). He had been on the euthanasia list at a municipal shelter. A volunteer and a foster fell in love with him, a rescue said yes, and hence started Ollie’s healing journey. Fast forward a few months, he is a handsome, happy, and full of life boy! Most of his fur has grown back beautifully, though he still has a bald patch around his neck and shoulders that may never fully regrow. But honestly, It just adds to his charm. His glow-up is truly something special. Ollie is one of the sweetest dogs you’ll ever meet. His fosters call him their “golden child” because he’s just about perfect. Ollie is fantastic with every person he meets, including kids, and he absolutely adores other dogs. Ollie is both potty trained and kennel trained. He loves playing with other dogs, chewing on toys, going on walks, car rides, and just chilling. His foster family absolutely adores him, and watching him blossom has been nothing short of heartwarming. Ollie does need weekly baths to keep his skin healthy but they are quick and easy, and he is very cooperative. He is estimated to be around 6-7 years old and weighs about 55 lbs. If you think Ollie is your next best friend apply today: https://www.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/DSTR/Dog Ollie is currently being fostered in Houston, Texas, but is available in many cities around the country. The adoption fee includes the cost of transport.

Story
Betsy is a FUN dog who loves to be with other dogs, maternal and bouncy. She is not aggressive or bossy but does have a bark and her terrier DNA comes out when meeting new smaller dogs. She has spent most of her time with bigger dogs and enjoys being the 'shortie' of the playgroup. She has been fostered with kids, other dogs and in a house/apartment. She is crate trained and loves routine - literally bounces up and down, runs outside then back into her crate to nap. Betsy is not food motivated, nibbles through the day, but has managed to become a bit fluffy. 50 lb dog now, she loves car rides, water! and sunbathing. She has participated in local rescue events, wiggling her whole body to meet new people and barking with excitement. Betsy is spayed, up to date on vaccines and very health - a bit fluffy as she has matured, now 5 years old. Her breed had been a guess until now! a donated DNA test revealed the classic Houston mutt mix of American Pit Bull Terrier, Lab, Boxer, German Shepherd, Shar Pei, Chow Chow. She is a short dog with medium double coat and a sharp mind. FOSTERED IN TEXAS. *Adoption Fee ($400.00) includes transport options to PNW (WA, UT, ID), Midwest (MN, WI, MI, OH, IL, IN) or select New England States (NY-NJ-CT-VA-VT) by pet transport partners.
