Story
Liesel is a sweet girl with loads of energy. She likes walks, but needs a fenced yard to run and fetch as well. She is dog reactive and when she came to us we were told she does not like other dogs, but that isn't true. She is just dog selective and has spent time with six different dogs while in our care and has done very well. Introducing the dogs in a proper manner is crucial to successfully getting Liesel to accept a new canine friend. She gets very excited when you first come home or greet her and will tend to jump to say HI, but once things get calm, she calms down as well. She has had some training sessions with 3 different trainers and knows some commands. Liesel has calmed down slightly since coming to us, but she will always be a bit high strung and her adopter must understand and accept that. it is just part of who she is. Liesel loves people, both children and adults, and just needs someone to love her for the dog she is. She wants to please and will be loyal and loving forever, if given the chance..

Story
Severus is an energetic eight year old boy. We affectionately refer to him as eight going on two. Sev came to us when a friend suddenly had to move into an apartment where she wasn’t allowed to have a dog. She’s had him since he was a puppy. We have had Sev for a year. He requires a lot of space! We have a fairly big house but it’s still not big enough for him. Sev is microchipped and currently wears an AirTag tracking device in his collar. He is up to date on all of his shots and healthy. He is allergic to beef and chicken, so we feed him Purina One lamb and rice formula. He has yet to meet an animal he doesn’t like. He has such a gentle personality. He gets excited so easily. Sev chose me as his human when he moved into our house. He follows me everywhere. He comes to find me if I’ve been gone too long. Sev has an issue: he will eat anything he can. If it’s on the counter, a table, right beside you or in the trash can he will go for it. It has become a bit much.

She’s goofy in the most endearing way. Expect dramatic play bows, enthusiastic gallops, and the occasional moment where she forgets she is, in fact, almost 90 pounds.She’s wonderful with kids and dog-friendly too, making her the kind of big-hearted girl who just wants a pack to belong to. She’d love a yard to stretch those long legs or an active family who appreciates a daily adventure (or at least a solid game of fetch followed by a triumphant victory lap).Dixie doesn’t just enter a room — she arrives.
