Meet Rosie 🌼Age: 5 yearsBreed: Beagle mixVibe: Nervous sweetheart + certified little weirdoRosie spent 8 whole months living life on the streets, dodging responsibility and minding her own beagle business before the dog warden finally convinced her that couches and regular meals are, in fact, superior. Because of her rough start, Rosie can be shy and nervous with people at first—she’s the type who peeks around corners and says, “I’m not sure about you yet.”But other dogs? OBSESSED.Rosie believes dogs are perfect, magical creatures and would absolutely thrive with a confident canine friend to show her the ropes. She needs a secure fenced-in yard where she can safely zoom, sniff, and be her strange little self.Once Rosie decides you’re her person, things get… loud. She doesn’t bark. She doesn’t whine. She screams with joy. Full-volume, heartfelt, “I love you so much I must yell” screams. It’s endearing. It’s alarming. It’s Rosie. When she’s comfortable, she turns into a belly-rub connoisseur, melting into the floor and soaking up affection like she’s been waiting her whole life for it (because honestly, she kind of has).Rosie is not for everyone—but for the right patient, kind, dog-loving home, she’ll be a quirky, loyal, scream-happy treasure. If you believe the best dogs are a little odd, a little nervous, and a whole lot of special… Rosie might just be your soul dog 🐶💛More information? Story
Toby (chocolate lab, purebred) and Max (golden retriever mix) may be different breeds, but they’re absolutely brothers. They’re housebroken, crate-trained, and spend most of their day wrestling, lounging, playing, and cuddling with us. They love walks, playing fetch, and being outdoors. Toby loves playing in water and Max loves to stay dry, but otherwise they’re very similar. Both are amazing with kids and other dogs, but we haven’t tested them around cats. They are a package deal because of how much they love each other and how much they have helped each other with anxieties (storms for Max, separation for Toby). They need a home with a tentative owner, preferably with room to run and play.

Story
Meet Clover! 🐾 Clover is a sweet, social Lab mix who greets everyone she meets with a full-body wiggle and a happy tail! At just over a year old and 57.8 pounds, she's still growing into the amazing dog she's destined to be. Like many young pups, she's working through her puppy behaviors, and nothing makes her happier than having a toy to carry, chase, or chew—it's easily her favorite thing! When Clover gets to spend time in the office, she's the perfect mix of playful and relaxed. She loves a good nap after playtime, but she's always ready to spring back into action for another game or adventure. She's looking for a patient family who understands that puppies don't stay puppies forever and is willing to help her through her stubborn stage with consistency, love, and positive reinforcement. If you're searching for a fun-loving companion who's ready for cuddles, long walks, and endless playtime, Clover is waiting to meet you! Her adoption fee is $200, and she's more than ready to trade her toys for a forever family to call her own.

Bert is our longest resident at our shelter that is available for adoption and or foster. He is our older guy, he can be a bit timid at first but once he warms up to you he is your best friend! He came to us a stray running loose, we believe he was dumped. He has been here since June of 2025.

Story
About Banshee BANSHEE IS IN A FOSTER HOME. IF INTERESTED IN ADOPTING HER PLEASE FILL OUT AN APPLICATION. IF APPROVED, WE WILL BE IN TOUCH TO SCHEDULE A VISIT HERE AT UCHS. Banshee is an absolute sweetheart with a quirky, fun-loving soul. She is incredibly social, affectionate, and thrives on attention. She loves kids and people of all ages, making her a wonderful, loving companion. She is high-energy, treat-motivated, and always ready for an adventure—whether that’s going to the park, splashing in water, playing fetch, or chasing bubbles. She also loves meeting other dogs her size for some energetic play! At the end of the day, she loves nothing more than settling in to watch TV or snuggling in bed at night. Training & House Habits Crate & Potty Trained: Banshee is crate trained and fully house-trained. To let you know she needs to go out, she will sit by the door, nudge bells, or bark. If you don't notice right away, she will come find you and vocally let you know! Commands: She already knows Sit, Down, Stop, and Come, and is currently working on her mealtime manners. Puppy Behavior: She is still very much a puppy, so she has some typical puppy mouthiness/nipping, but she is a fast learner and responds very well to gentle correction and redirection. She loves to chew, so keeping her busy with durable toys works great. Diet & Health Banshee has a somewhat sensitive stomach. She does best on a steady chicken and rice diet supplemented with pumpkin, cottage cheese, and daily probiotics, which keeps her digestion completely on track. Ideal Home Placement An Active Family: She would thrive in an active home—especially one with kids—that has the energy to play, run, and help her burn off her puppy energy. Other Dogs: She loves other dogs, but due to her size and strength, she must be placed with larger dogs close to her size. No Small Animals: Due to a strong prey drive, she cannot go to a home with small dogs, cats, or small pets. Banshee is truly an incredible puppy who just wants to play, run, and be loved. She is going to bring so much joy to the right family.
