Story
Piper came to us when her owners moved out of state. She is 8 years old and loves to nap in the sun, but is energetic when it’s play time! Piper loves hikes, has good name recall and is good about checking in when she is off leash. She is picky about which dogs she plays with! Likewise, she takes some time to warm up to new people, but loves getting petted once she knows you. At home, does well with puppies, deferential dogs, and cats who are comfortable with dogs. She plays well with kids, but I advise a child free home, or one with older kids. We are rehoming her because after a year of trying to train her to live with a baby/toddler, it’s clear she won’t be successful or comfortable. And she deserves better! She’s very sweet and so worth loving! Piper has anxiety, which has improved over the years with training and medication, but like goal is to find a home that provides the best opportunity for her. No chickens or small animals. No babies/toddlers.

Story
I`ve been told I`m a little chunky. I prefer the term fun-sized with extra squish. My résumé includes: professional snuggler, stuffy enthusiast, backyard zoomie expert, and Gentle Treat Taking Champion. Seriously, I take treats like they`re made of glass. Now, I do have one tiny flaw. Sometimes when I`m behind a fence or kennel door, I have some... opinions. I might bark and tell everyone exactly what I think. But get me out in the yard, and suddenly I`m all, `Oh! Hi! Do you want to be best friends?` Turns out barriers just aren`t my thing. My dream home has plenty of cuddles, a few stuffies to lovingly destroy (or cherish—depends on the day), and humans who know that sometimes the sweetest dogs just need a chance to show who they really are.Come meet me. I promise I`m much more charming in person—and I`ll even take your treats politely.Adoption fee is $225 and currently weighs 66 pounds

Story
Hi, I’m Yuna! I’m an 11-year-old Pittie/Lab mix, weighing about 55 pounds, with a beautiful black coat and a whole lot of love to give. I’m looking for a new home because my mom passed away, and sadly, her family isn’t able to keep me. I’ve been very loved, and now I’m hoping to find someone who has a soft spot for senior dogs and would like a sweet, gentle companion by their side. I’m what you might call a friend to everyone. I’ve lived with dogs, cats, and children, and I’m friendly with pretty much anyone or anything I meet. I’m affectionate, chill, gentle, and very snuggly. Give me a cozy bed, some attention, and a person to hang out with, and I’m a happy girl. I may be a senior, but I still enjoy getting out and having some fun! Short walks are perfect for me, and I also enjoy car rides, beach trips, camping, playing with rope toys, splashing around in a little water, and—of course—treats. My back legs may have some arthritis, so I eat special food to help support my joints. I can climb stairs on my own and get around well, but I do appreciate a helping hand getting in and out of the car. I’m also a smart girl! I know “sit,” “spin,” “lay down,” “go to bed,” and “wait.” At night, I’m happy sleeping in my own bed, and I’m accustomed to being home alone for about six hours when needed. My ideal home would be with someone patient who is home more often and genuinely enjoys having a dog for company. I don’t need grand adventures or a busy schedule. I’d be perfectly happy with short walks, some outings here and there, plenty of snuggles, and someone who understands how special the senior years can be. I’ve already spent 11 years learning how to be a great dog. Now I just need someone who has the time and love to share the rest of my journey with me.

Story
Howdy! My name is St. Elmo! I love squeaky toys and food! I like to have fun and can get jumpy from excitement! I have big dumb puppy energy, that’s all! I would definitely benefit from training because I am still young. I would love to meet potential future siblings to see if we vibe! My adoption fee is $225, and Benton County adopters have additional licensing fees.
