Hey there! I'm excited that you've clicked on my profile! Swipe right! Am I right?! I'm Schnitzel and I am likely a Lab and Pitty mix breed boy. I'm young at heart as they say. I'm about three years old and a lean seventy-five pounds. I'm working on learning that people don't always communicate like us dogs. I'm doing great working on my manners and I'm learning that y'all don't always appreciate an enthusiastic greeting like I do. So, I'm being taught to sit for treats and I'm waiting to say hi until my feet are on the ground. I can tell you that I'm very food motivated, and I am more than happy to "sit" for a good snack. I know how to lay "down", "shake" and I know this cool trick of "up" where I stand on a log or big ol' rock. I think that's a pretty cool trick! I love attention and belly rubs are great! I think I would like to have an active home where we can get daily walks or daily puzzles and training. All the staff here say that I'm a smart guy and I'm super excited to learn new things. I'm a people please and I'm doing my best to learn as fast as possible! I'm learning some leash manners and some of my favorite days include a pack walk with some of my shelter buddies. While I enjoy many dogs, I sometimes have a rough and tumble kind of play style. Which not all dogs love. If you have a dog at home, I would need to meet them before being adopted to make sure they like me too! I can't wait to meet you in person, let's call it a date! My adoption fee is 175, Benton County adopters have an additional licensing fee.

I am a shy boy but the way to build my trust and win my heart is through my favorite game of fetch. I love playing ball and doing zoomies in the yard. I also love going for walks to sniff all the good smells. I have a great nose. I take some time to get comfortable with new people and situations. I am looking for a family who is willing to take the time to build my trust and confidence. The world can be a scary place for a sweet boy like me. Once I am comfortable with you, we can spend so much time playing and going on walks. Did I mention that I am also very smart? I know many commands like sit, lay down and shake. I bet you can even teach me more amazing tricks. If you are interested in meeting me and you think I might be a good fit for your family please ask Heartland staff about meeting me. Since I am a little shy, I prefer to stay in the staff only area but we can schedule a date to meet each other. If you have other people or dogs who live in your home, I would like to meet them before joining your family. I met a few dogs at Heartland and I kind of preferred doing my own thing.
