Story
Allie (Female)'s Story Description of the Pet **Applicant Requirements:** -Be at least 21 years of age and the Homeowner or Rentee. -Households with children under 8 years of age, must have a physical fence attached to the home or an electric/invisible fence. However, there are other instances when a fence may be required for the safety of the dog or puppy Name: Allie Age: 2.5 years DOB: 8/10/23 Weight: 55 lbs. Crate-trained: Yes PLEASE NOTE: To apply to adopt, the application and adoption process can be found on our website greenmorerescue.org. Please read dog's bio carefully before applying. Meet Allie! Allie is a Labradoodle/Black Labrador Retriever mix under 3 years old with a big smile and an even bigger zest for life! This happy girl is full of energy and always ready for her next adventure. Whether it's playtime in the yard or heading out for a walk, Allie brings enthusiasm wherever she goes. Because she gets so excited (life is just that fun!), Allie is working on channeling that energy in more focused ways, like holding a toy while getting harnessed or heading out for walks. This helps redirect her excitement and sets her up for success. With consistency and positive reinforcement, she'll continue to improve. Allie is both dog-friendly and kid-friendly! She would do best with children who understand that she's an energetic, playful pup and may get excited during playtime. Kids who are comfortable around an active dog and can respect her space when she needs it will make great companions for her. She also enjoys the company of other dogs and loves having canine friends to play with. A fenced yard is a must for Allie so she can safely run, play, and burn off her energy. If you're looking for a fun-loving, active companion who will keep you moving and smiling, Allie might be your perfect match! Adoption donation is $425 cash, $450 credit, debit or Venmo. This donation includes a microchip. Another great reason to adopt form Greenmore.... Greenmore Rescue preforms the 4dx blood test on ALL of our adult dogs FREE OF CHARGE to adopters! This blood test checks for diseases such as Lyme and Heartworm Disease that are transmitted to dogs from a tick or mosquito bite. If the dog you are interested in tests positive for any of these conditions, treatment will already have been started or completed. Your Adoption Counselor will review any findings with you and we will provide all medical records, along with any medication the dog may need at the time of adoption. ***A NOTE ON BREEDS: The dog's listed breed(s) is the best assessment made by a veterinarian, pet finder or rescue staff and is not guaranteed. Story
Back in December 2024, Big Family Rescue got an urgent call about a litter of puppies four hours north of us. They were only six weeks old, and their condition was heartbreaking. Overrun with worms and coccidia, the pups were so sick they were barely hanging on. We dropped everything, made the late-night drive, and brought them home. At first, it wasn’t clear if they would survive. They were frail, lethargic, and malnourished. But with intensive care, medicine, and round-the-clock attention, the puppies slowly began to fight their way back. One of those survivors is Woody. Now nine months old, Woody has blossomed into a goofy, energetic, and affectionate boy. A unique Hound/Labradoodle mix, he’s healthy, strong, and full of life. Where once there was fear and fragility, now there’s joy and playfulness. Woody loves to run, explore, and clown around — his zest for life is contagious. Every wag of his tail is a reminder of just how far he’s come. From near-death at six weeks to a thriving young pup today, Woody embodies the heart of rescue: hope, healing, and second chances.
