Story
Gus is an energetic, fun-loving Labradoodle who absolutely loves people and thrives on human attention. He especially enjoys playing fetch, being outside, and spending time with his family. He is very affectionate and loves to cuddle. We adopted Gus about 8 months ago. He gets along well with our German Shepherd, but Gus and our Labrador have had repeated altercations, primarily around food and high-arousal situations such as outdoor play. Because of this, we believe Gus would do best in either a single-dog household or potentially with a larger, non-Lab breed dog (similar to our German Shepherd), in a calm and structured home. Gus is approximately 2 years old and is up to date on his vaccinations. When we adopted him, he tested positive for heartworms and is currently about 8 months into treatment (slow-kill method). He will need a retest in 4 months and is expected to be clear. He walks well on a leash and has done basic training, including sit and wait, he does great with people.

Story
Meet Saturn If you think one tiny puppy can steal your heart… just wait until you meet Saturn. At only 8 weeks old, this beautiful tri-colored Lab mix is already lighting up the room everywhere she goes. While her start in life wasn’t the easiest, Saturn carries none of that weight—just a gentle spirit, a curious heart, and a quiet kind of bravery that’s impossible to ignore. Now part of the Paws in Prison program with her sister Neptune, Saturn is beginning to understand what love really feels like. Surrounded by dedicated inmate trainers, she’s learning trust, confidence, and the simple joy of being safe. And in the process, she’s giving that same healing right back. Saturn is the softer soul—the one who watches, learns, and then melts right into you once she knows she’s safe. She has those big, thoughtful eyes that seem to say, “I’m ready to love you… I just need you to choose me.” She’s playful, affectionate, and just the right mix of sweet and spunky. The kind of puppy that will grow into a loyal, steady companion—the one who stays close, no matter what. Saturn is available for pre-adoption now Her journey is just beginning, but her forever family could already be out there. Two sisters. Two second chances. One incredible opportunity to change a life. Story
Meet Neptune At just 8 weeks old, Neptune is already making waves… and stealing hearts everywhere she goes. This tiny tri-colored Lab mix may be small, but her story is anything but. Her beginning wasn’t easy—like so many of our pups, she’s already faced more uncertainty than a baby ever should. But Neptune didn’t let that define her. Instead, she stepped into a new chapter… one filled with hope, love, and second chances. Now in the Paws in Prison program alongside her sister Saturn, Neptune is learning what it means to feel safe. Every day, she’s surrounded by gentle hands, patient hearts, and women who are pouring love into her while rebuilding their own lives. And in return? Neptune is doing what puppies do best—healing, loving, and reminding everyone around her what joy feels like again. She’s curious, cuddly, and has that soft, soulful look that makes you stop and say, “That’s my dog.” Whether she’s snuggling into a blanket or bravely exploring the world one tiny step at a time, Neptune is pure magic in puppy form. Neptune is available for pre-adoption now She may be just beginning her journey, but her forever home could already be waiting. If you’ve been searching for a sign… this is it. Because somewhere out there is a home meant just for her.And Neptune is ready to find it. visit us at www.pawsinprisontx.org today ##2701240##
