Story
Oliver is 6 years old, very smart, playful and cute! He's pretty easy in the house - no chewing, table/counter surfing and he's well potty-trained, and no shedding! He goes in his kennel or will stay behind a closed door patiently - no whining/scratching. His ideal home would have adults that can spend time with him and have experience dog training. He needs training to walk well on a leash (he is reactive to cars, other people and dogs, and also pulls and barks towards squirrels and cats). He also needs training to not be reactive to new people coming by or into the house. He is not aggressive in general, but barks aggressively at deliveries and at people coming into the home. This part needs a lot of work. Currently we do not have visitors over unless he is in his kennel - his behavior is not compatible with meeting new people. He is a very sweet boy and easy dog within our household, but limiting guests does not work for our family. He needs a home where training can be the priority

Leo is chill, knows basic commands and is house & crate trained. He’s good with kids but not with other dogs. We got him after our first labradoodle and they don’t get along so it’s been hard. I’m now working full time after being stay at home for 8 years and unable to give them the attention he needs. He’s on Life Abundace food or Authority for food which is about $58 a month. His bday is 06-18-2023, he will be 3 years old.

Story
Bailey is a fantastic house dog. She was adopted from the Animal Defense League after she was left or lost by her previous owner during Hurricane Harvey. She has always been up to date with shots, vaccines, and boarding requirements. She does well at the daycare we drop her in during vacations. She enjoys walks, rubs on the stomach and playing fetch. We are looking to rehome our dog because she was increasingly had a difficult time getting along with other pets in our neighborhood. As a family of 5 with 3 young children and one with Special Needs, we do not feel we have the time or resources to put her through the proper training.

Story
Gus is an energetic, fun-loving Labradoodle who absolutely loves people and thrives on human attention. He especially enjoys playing fetch, being outside, and spending time with his family. He is very affectionate and loves to cuddle. We adopted Gus about 8 months ago. He gets along well with our German Shepherd, but Gus and our Labrador have had repeated altercations, primarily around food and high-arousal situations such as outdoor play. Because of this, we believe Gus would do best in either a single-dog household or potentially with a larger, non-Lab breed dog (similar to our German Shepherd), in a calm and structured home. Gus is approximately 2 years old and is up to date on his vaccinations. When we adopted him, he tested positive for heartworms and is currently about 8 months into treatment (slow-kill method). He will need a retest in 4 months and is expected to be clear. He walks well on a leash and has done basic training, including sit and wait, he does great with people.

Meet Mimi – 7-Year-Old Goldendoodle | Gentle, Quiet, and Learning to Be LovedMimi is the sweetest, most gentle soul. After spending the first five years of her life in a backyard breeding situation, she’s now discovering what it truly means to be a dog—and she’s blossoming more each day.In just one month, Mimi has made incredible progress. She is crate trained, dog door trained, knows “sit,” and is very food-motivated, making continued training easy. She loves to cuddle, hasn't barked once, and has a calm, peaceful presence. She’s great with other dogs and enjoys both playtime and lounging with her foster siblings.Mimi is still working on occasional potty accidents after breakfast but she’s improving quickly with routine and consistency.Mimi would thrive in a patient, loving home that understands she’s still learning and is ready to help her continue to grow. She could do well in a house or apartment with regular potty breaks. She is available for pre-adoption as we need to finish off her vaccines and fix her cherry eye preferably before adoption. If you are interested in Miss Mimi, please comment or message us and we will send you our adoption application!

Story
Available in TX only! King is a one year old Basset Hound/Lab mix with a gentle soul and a laid back nature. He is still gaining confidence and can be scared of new things, especially loud noises, but once he feels safe he settles in nicely. When he gets excited he can be a little jumpy, though most of the time he is calm and easygoing. King truly enjoys running around the yard, going on walks, and soaking up outdoor time. He has a playful side and loves playing fetch with frisbees and balls. Tug of war is another favorite game, and he is a big fan of chew time. Knuckle bones, hard chew toys for power chewers, and anything he can safely gnaw on make him very happy. King is crate trained and house trained, which makes him an easy addition to a home. King does have a prey drive and enjoys chasing squirrels and frogs, and he will chase cats, so a cat free home is recommended. He also has a sensitive stomach and does best on sensitive stomach dog food, as treats like milk bones do not agree with him. King would thrive in a patient, understanding home that will give him time to build confidence and continue showing him the world is a safe place. With love and consistency, he will be a loyal and loving companion To apply directly for King, push the "Apply for Adoption" button. https://www.shelterluv.com/embed/animal/FODS-A-751 All our dogs come with 30 days of free post-adoption support through Petcademy.org. Story
Meet Clover – A Gentle Soul with a Forever-Wagging Tail Clover is one of those dogs who quietly steals your heart. With her soft ears, soulful eyes, and tail that never seems to stop wagging, she radiates sweetness and gratitude. Clover doesn’t ask for much—just to be close to her person, feel safe, and be loved. Clover is currently being fostered in a loving home in Seguin, Texas, where she is thriving in her own gentle way. She shares her days with her best friend, a 25 lb Corgi, and the two enjoy calm play, companionship, and cozy moments together. Clover has a naturally submissive, easygoing personality and showed no concern around larger dogs at the shelter. While she hasn’t yet been introduced to kids or cats, her tender spirit suggests she would do best in a calm, loving environment. She is crate-trained and house-trained, rides beautifully in the car, and walks nicely on a leash. Clover isn’t a dog who needs constant activity—she simply wants to be near you. Whether she’s curled up on her dog bed, resting on the couch beside her foster mom, or quietly following you from room to room, Clover’s happiest place is wherever her person is. Clover does have special medical needs that make her story even more meaningful. She has Megaesophagus, which is well managed with a simple feeding routine using frozen, meatball-shaped meals. She also has torn ACLs in both back legs, which are inoperable due to her other medical condition. Because of this, Clover needs a home that can offer a calm, low-impact lifestyle and understand her mobility limitations. Despite everything, Clover remains gentle, loving, and content—asking only for soft beds, routine, and affection. Clover can be a little shy around men at first, but with patience and kind words, she blossoms into a devoted companion. Due to her medical needs, transport would be too difficult for her, so Clover is available for adoption in Texas only. Clover is searching for a special forever home—one that sees past her challenges and straight into her heart. In return, she will offer quiet loyalty, endless love, and a tail that never stops wagging for the family who chooses her. To see more pictures and videos, copy and paste this link. Story
Oreo is a great family pet. He is very loyal, loves pets, and loves to be outside! He can be playful or lazy, whatever the vibes are, he is down. He has a great personality. He gets along with most dogs and all people. Once you show him love, he’ll cling to you. Oreo would do best with a medium/big yard or land. We hate to give Oreo up, but due to relocation circumstances, we are unable to keep him. We want him to go to a loving home where he is shown the attention and love he deserves.
