Story
I’m trying to rehome Lolex. He’s a 7 year old F1 labradoodle. He is a certified therapy dog, CGC certified, and has is hips certified. He is great with everyone older adults, kids and children with special needs. He was raised on a farm and enjoys being around other animals too. He needs to be rehomed because he needs to have more attention. He’s use to going to hospitals and schools with me but now that I work from home I can tell he’s a little depressed not having as much socialization with others like he is use too. Ideally I think he would be a great addition to a family who has an active life style or a middle aged man who wants a great companion. He’s a huge teddy bear so gentle, loving and sweet

Mabel was adopted from a litter of puppies. She is 1 1/2 years old. We are looking for a home that can give Mabel time and energy. She loves long walks and loves exploring. She does need more training on jumping and sock eating. She is crate trained. Has been an outdoor dog (so not 100% house broken) She is playful, loving, and energetic.

Story
This sweet boy was found in a creek - just sitting in the middle of it.  After lots of coaxing and treats the finder got him.  She kept h im over a week and had him scanned, and posted everywhere.  No one was apparently looking for him.  He was severely matted.  After a few days he begin to trust the finder and he took treats out of her hand and then he let her pet him.  Soon she was loving all over him and talking him on walks.  He is a stunning boy.  He is shy at first and will take patience and lots of love and understanding.  He is a work in process.  He will reward you as well with sweetnesa and affection.  He weighs 60 lbs and is about 3 years old. He is fine around dogs.  His personality is calm  ##2410800##

Story
Roscoe is a year and a half old boy that loves to play fetch and run In the yard. He is good with other dogs and kids. He knows basic commands. He is house and crate trained. Our home has a very small yard. Roscoe has lots of energy, and would do best in a home with a large yard or acreage where he could run. He would do well in a home with kids to play with, or with someone that could take him for a good run. We are trying to find Roscoe his forever home.

Story
Mama came in with a whole slew of puppies. The trapper originally said she thought it was just 4 or 5 pups but it ended up being 10! She was living in a shed and being fed but has had limited human interaction. All her puppies have since been adopted.  She loves other dogs and would do well in a home that has another playful dog to bring her out of her shell. She loves to rough house and play tug of war with smaller dogs. Dogs bigger than her are sort of scary and she'll need time to warm up to the big ones. She has been out in the yard with calmer dogs before as well & has done fine. There is only one dog she did not like (Rocko) who was bigger and approaches other dogs like a tank. A meet and greet with any other dogs in the home will be required.  She goes outside and kennels up well but is fearful of human interaction. She allows us to sit in the kennel with her and will take a treat from our hand but is fearful of being petted.  The rescue is primarily interested in getting her into a foster home that may be adoption minded once she settles in. There are only so many social skills we can teach in a kennel setting. She is spayed, up to date on rabies/bordatella/DHPPv/heartworm preventative.  Our process:    We are not a “first come first served” shelter. Our process may be a little longer but it’s designed to make sure animals are going to homes that meet their needs. You may have a great home and be lovely people, but sometimes a dog just isn’t suited for your circumstance. For example, one dog may need a six foot privacy fence due to climbing behaviors while another may be fine with 4 ft chain link. Another dog may need a backyard while another would do fine in an apartment setting. We know our animals pretty well and we don’t want you or your new addition to be forced into something that’s not ideal for everyone.    Schedule a visit with the dog by going to www.copilotanimalrescue.org Feel free to reach out to us by email with additional questions: copilotanimalrescue@gmail.com Fill out an adoption application (you can do this before or after you meet the dog). Message us once you complete the app so we can start working on your references.  Let your vet know (if you have current animals) that we will be calling. They frequently need your permission to give us any info.  Home visit and adoption trial. If all lights are green, we will do a home visit followed by an adoption trial of one week to make sure that everyone is comfortable with the new addition.  Contracts are signed prior to the adoption trial. ##1344357##
