Meadow is a gorgeous LARGE doodle!! She is approximately 2 years old, fully vetted, HW neg and microchipped. Meadow is fearful of SOME men, so she needs someone with patience, as we believe she was abused, in her previous home. She absolutely LOVES playing with other dogs, crate trained, knows basic commands, though still has high puppy energy, at times. Meadow can act timid/shy when meeting new people, though once she knows you, she will be your best friend! She's a strong girl, who needs some work on a leash. We prefer Meadow to go to a home with older children, due to her size (100 lbs), and the possibility of her getting excited and jumping on a small child. Annie is a precious doodle girl! She is approximately 8 years old and weighs 55 pounds. Annie went through heartworm treatment at the end of last year, and has now received the "all clear from the vet. She is UTD on vaccines, spayed and microchipped. She does great with other dogs, and basically matches the other dogs energy, though she is not a fan of smaller dogs jumping up in and on her face. Annie has had no exposure to cats, since joining our rescue, so we are not sure how she would do with one. Annie loves to go for walks, though she is strong on a leash, and will pull, if she sees a squirrel, rabbit, etc. She is house broken and does not get crated, so we are hoping to find a forever home for her, where she will be allowed the same freedom. Oh, sweet Moses! This handsome dood is ready for his fur-ever home. Moses is smart, playful, and fun. He enjoys learning new skills and responds well to positive reinforcement and treats. He loves adventures with his hoomans. He enjoys a good backyard romp and a hearty session of fetch. If it’s round and rolls, Moses is a fan! He enjoys companions who can match energy and are close to his size (40-lbs or larger). He enjoys a rough-and-tumble style of play. He is a medium-energy dude with bursts of extra enthusiasm. He loves meeting new people. Who can resist that fuzzy face? Moses’s eyes speak to the wisdom gained through life experience. Moses has had a few hard knocks and has spent some time with our training partner learning how to trust humans after they’ve let him down. He will need extended time to decompress and to establish trust with his family. Once he trusts you, he’s a terrific, loyal companion. He’s no puppy to be trifled with; he is looking for a partnership with his family. He needs rescue-savvy, experienced owners who are willing to continue working with his trainer to ensure he successfully transitions to his home. For this reason, potential adopters must live in the DFW area and be willing to work with his trainer through his transition and decompression. Moses’s adoption fee is $400. He is HW negative, current on all HW/flea preventatives, neutered, and microchipped. All adoption fees go toward expenses like medical costs and food for Doodle Dandy dogs and help make it possible for us to continue giving amazing pups like Moses a second chance. Howdy there partner, my name is Leo! I'm a 2 year old Labradoodle that's always so happy as my tail never stops wagging. I was brought to the Humane Society after my previous owners schedule got too busy for them to have a dog, which makes sense as the two breeds I'm mixed with, we're usually a lot of energy! I would really love an active family that enjoys going out on hikes or daily walks and a backyard I can get all my zoomies out in. I do wonderful with children as I love all people I meet. I'm good with other dogs, but I can be a little too much for some, so schedule a time to bring your dog up so we can meet! I seem to be housetrained but please just give me some time to learn your routine, as I'm an intelligent fella, I'm sure I'll catch on quickly. I do know a few tricks such as "sit, down, stay, and wait" and boy would I love to learn more! I love to play the trade game where you throw the ball and I run after it and you tell me to sit and wait and you throw the next ball. LOUIE LOUIE (available for adoption) Meet Louie, a 1 year old, tall Labrador with a happy, playful personality. He is about 1 1/2 years old and 68 pounds. Louie came to us very skinny, and we have been working to put some weight on him. We are pretty good at that!!! He has a healthy appetite that fuels fetch sessions and tumble time with his doggy foster brother. He’s gaining a little at a time, whatever he does not burn off during play. Louie is neutered, vaccinated, on heartworm prevention and microchipped Louie would love to be part of an active family. Louie gets along well with other dogs, and enjoys having both people and dogs for company. He is a big boy, and a baby at heart. His favorite things are squeaky toys, his football, treats, the water, and buddies. Louie wants to be near the action, and does not want to miss anything. He is enthusiastic in all things, and is learning to be gentle. He is an eager learner and picks up on things quickly. He is housebroken and crate trained. After a full day of living life to the fullest, Louie settles down easily through the night. Then he wakes ready to do it all again. Louie will need a fenced back yard with plenty of grassy area for play time. He would really love another dog buddy about his size in his new family. CIERRA If you ask Cierra, she is a princess looking for her crown! Cierra is a beautiful pure bred Labrador, about 2 years old. She absolutely loves to be with people and will snuggle up for attention if you let her. Cierra is about 67 pounds, so she is a great, smaller sized Labrador. Cierra has a lot of bounce when you first meet her, but she settles down pretty quickly. She is well house trained, likes her big crate and walks nicely on the leash. She is very smart and catches on quickly. Cierra came to Lone Star a few months ago. We don't know much about Cierra's background, but she was a nervous girl when she first arrived. She is taking some medication that we are sure can be stopped, once she is settled in with her new family. Cierra did not have much training prior to coming to Lone Star. Her foster mom & dad have been working with her to teach good manners, crate training and house breaking. She does not play nicely with other dogs, so we are looking for a home where she can be the center of attention with no other dogs. A home with a 6 foot privacy fence is required for the Princess Cierra. Cierra would probably be a good companion to kids over the age of at least 8 or 10 years old. She is probably too strong and bouncy for little ones. Cierra is a very healthy girl with bright eyes and a shiny, chocolate coat. She is fully vaccinated, spayed, on heartworm prevention and microchipped.
