- A peaceable parlor where she can sparkle like the belle of the ball and wallow in love and fussin’ till her heart’s content. She enjoys having her kinfolk gathered round her during the day.

Bless her heart, Miss Daisy Dolittle is a doodle of respectable lineage with the kind of gentle Southern grace that could hush a room full chatter; she ambles along like she’s strollin’ the garden party in her Sunday best, never rushin’, never jumpin’, never once climbin’ up on the furniture uninvited. This low-energy sweetheart pokes you soft as a magnolia petal for a scratch, talks back in the quietest little growl you ever heard, and—Lord have mercy—steals the coolin’ blanket off the bed every single day, spreads it on the floor like she’s fixin’ for a beauty parlor nap, and sleeps without a shred of shame.
Limited sight and hearin’ don’t slow her one bit; glaucoma’s clear, bloodwork’s prettier than Nana’s weddin’ china, and she takes her ear drops and daily meds for arthritis sweeter than Papaw takes his coffee—easy as pie, long as there’s no chicken anywhere near her plate. She learned cat manners faster than gossip spreads—she considers them some of her fondest friends as they rub up against her. She even puts a paw on them and nuzzles them back with true southern hospitality. Daisy would be just as happy reignin’ as the only dog or sharin’ the porch with another calm soul. Truth is, she’s people-oriented and content to sit close without crowdin’ your space.
Daisy needs a quiet home—no wild young’uns or rowdy pups knockin’ her over like hooligans at the Easter egg hunt—lovin’ her slow pace and lavishin’ the attention she’s missed these last years. She’s a rascal for pizza on the counter when nobody’s lookin’, rides in the car like she was born to it, and lights up for a short walk or a belly rub. Picture her in the passenger seat of an RV, weekend trippin’ with folks who understand aging beauties, sippin’ life slow and sweet. In the right arms, Daisy Dolittle will bloom like a steel magnolia—tough through the storms, tender through the years, and forever the heart of the home.

Daisy Dolittle’s adoption fee is $400. She is HW negative, current on all vaccinations and HW/flea preventatives, spayed, and microchipped. All adoption fees go toward expenses like medical costs and food for Doodle Dandy dogs and help make it possible for us to continue giving amazing pups like Daisy a second chance.
