Story
Charlie Walker: Your Chill BFF Charlie’s Non-Negotiables: - Owner who is excited about and committed to continued training - Comfy couch for relaxing and snuggling - Owner with experience or willingness to learn and help with anxiety - Someone who is home most of the day Charlie’s Greatest Hits: Charlie is the ultimate cuddle bug with a heart of gold and a tail that wags for belly rubs. Charlie is a low-to-mid energy dood who’s equally down for a lazy day on the couch or a quick round of zoomies in the yard. He’s fully crate-trained and learning to trust that his people always come back, so a work-from-home human would be his dream come true. Charlie’s got a big love for toys (especially ones he can really sink his teeth into), and his snuggle game is Olympic-level. He’s cool with other dogs or flying solo, and while he may sneak a snack off the counter if you’re not looking, it’s all part of his charm. This affectionate, loyal pup just needs a little patience and a lot of love—and he’ll give it all right back tenfold. Is Charlie Walker Singing Your Tune? Charlie Walker’s adoption fee is $500. He is HW negative, current on all vaccinations and HW/flea preventatives, neutered, and microchipped. All adoption fees go toward expenses like medical costs and food for Doodle Dandy dogs and help make it possible for us to continue giving amazing pups like Charlie Walker a second chance. If you would like to fill out an application and you are within a 5-hour drive of one of our metro areas (DFW, Houston, Austin or San Antonio), please click on one of the Adoption Application buttons on this page https://www.doodledandyrescue.org/all-adoptable-doodles/charlie-walker and select CHARLIE WALKER from the drop-down menu on the application form.

Story
Chef Sampson: Did Someone Say Snacks? Order Up: - A home with a fenced yard for outdoor fetch sessions - Someone who works from home or is around often—he’s a people dog! - A family or individual who doesn’t mind a little dog hair on the couch - A home that keeps counters clear and trash tucked away Why He’s the Top Chef: Meet Chef Sampson (“Sampson”)—a lovable hunk with a chill, laidback demeanor and a secret passion for fetch (and maybe your leftovers if you’re not careful!). He’s the perfect mix of mellow and playful: content to nap beside you during the workday but always ready to bounce outside for a quick game. Car rides, thunderstorms, and bath time? No problem—this guy handles it all like a seasoned pro. Sampson is incredibly sweet, wonderfully well-behaved, and happiest just being near his people. If you’re looking for a low-maintenance buddy with a heart of gold (and a nose for snacks), Chef Sampson might just be your next best friend. Is This Chef Your Special? Chef Sampson’s adoption fee is $600. He is HW negative, current on all vaccinations and HW/flea preventatives, neutered, and microchipped. All adoption fees go toward expenses like medical costs and food for Doodle Dandy dogs and help make it possible for us to continue giving amazing pups like Chef Sampson a second chance. Story
Titus: Big Dog Love Is Your Home Paw-Fect for Titus: - Active owners - Good-sized yard for activities and lounging - Patient owners located in the DFW area and committed to continued training and lifetime love - No apartments–this pup enjoys his space What Do We Love Best About Titus? Titus is 80-lbs of doodle love, snuggles, and energy looking for the right couch to curl up on. This loving boy adores cuddling up next to his people like a fuzzy weighted blanket. What do you mean he’s too big to be a lap dog? Titus disagrees vehemently. It doesn’t take long for Titus to decide that he loves you—REALLY loves you. He’s going to protect you, too, from whatever Amazon delivery man, dangerous neighbors, and random noises may threaten the home. He’ll even stand guard while you jump in the shower so Norman Bates beware! While he enjoys playing with other pups, Titus is all about being the alpha–he can be a bit pushy with other dogs and will guard his toys and food. Titus has previously received formal training and knows many commands, although he sometimes “doesn’t hear you” when he’s feeling stubborn. His adopters must live in the DFW area and commit to transition work with our training partner to ensure success. Does Your Home Need a Titus? Titus’s adoption fee is $600. He is HW negative, current on all vaccinations and HW/flea preventatives, neutered, and microchipped. All adoption fees go toward expenses like medical costs and food for Doodle Dandy dogs and help make it possible for us to continue giving amazing pups like Titus a second chance. Story
It is so hard to believe Bubbles has not been swooped up for adoption! She is now one of our Diamond Dogs, which are the pets we highlight as the Diamond in the Ruff seeking their forever home. Her adoption fee has been reduced to $125. DOB: 12/16/2022 Weight: 50lbs  Bubbles was left behind when her owner moved out of a rental property. Her roommate stepped up to care for her until a forever home could be found. Bubbles loves carrying her toys around and takes treats very gently. She knows how to sit, shake, lay down, and roll over on command and plays fetch. She's also house and crate-trained! Bubbles loves exercising in her yard several times a day and would do best in a home that can provide regular exercise. She does great with cats, but hasn't been around children so we're not sure how she would do. Bubbles is good with other dogs but needs to be fed separately from them.  Bubbles is current on her vaccinations, spayed and is heartworm negative. All she needs now is a forever home to call her own! Complete an online application today at: https://legacyhumanesociety.org/adoption-application/We do not have a facility to house the dogs in our program. They are all kept in foster homes until they are adopted. Therefore, if you are interested in adopting from LHS, please complete an online application at http://legacyhumanesociety.org/adoptfoster/adoption-application/ and we will contact you asap about the status of your application. Meet Cesar – Your Loyal, Smart & Spirited Companion! Breed: Belgian Malinois Mix Age: 4 years (DOB: 05/10/2021) &#226&#154&#150&#239&#184&#143 Weight: 70 lbs Training: Crate trained, housebroken, completed professional training consultation Good with: Dogs, cats, and likely children Ideal Home: Active family or individual who can continue his training and provide lots of love and engagement Cesar is a stunning and intelligent 4-year-old Belgian Malinois mix with a big heart and an even bigger personality. Originally rescued after his former owner was no longer able to care for him, Cesar has been a beloved foster and is now ready for his forever home. He’s a playful boy who thrives with structure, activity, and love. Whether he’s showing off his acrobatic skills, solving treat puzzles in record time, or just lounging in his crate, Cesar is happiest when he’s close to his people. He’s eager to please, highly trainable, and already has a solid foundation of manners. Cesar has done well with other dogs during playdates and previously lived peacefully with a senior cat. While he can be reactive on leash, he’s not aggressive—just curious and excited. He lights up around neighbor kids and we believe he’d do great in a family setting with proper introductions. If you're looking for a loyal, loving, and energetic companion who will stick by your side through thick and thin, Cesar might just be your perfect match. He’s microchipped, vaccinated, neutered, heartworm negative, and ready to meet his forever family. Ready to make Cesar part of your family?
